The Dairy has just gotten a little bigger, to think, It is operated by Only mum and dad, you , big and little sis, Dima and the mech. tech. It is always amazing how dedicated and hard working you all are !
Congrats on getting the new addition up and running. I'm not sure why but I enjoy watching your manure handling. I used to help a friend clean his calf barn by hand and using a Berg gutter system. It was still a lot of work. Your so well equipped and modern.
Hi Jan: - A lot of planning gives good results. Even the old barn gives you more room for new calves. You and Cole or wonderful examples of good enterprise. You look good with that crew cut - maybe a little shorter might be better. Thanks for the video, Jan. Always a pleasure to visit your farm and see the latest things you are doing.
Hone. Thank You for the video i am an old farm boy and enjoy watching all typs of farming videos. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment.
Another great video Jan, thanks for keeping us entertained with your wholesome dairy farm videos! Also I love seeing your family working together especially your cute sister, I’m looking forward to her next video!!! Merry Christmas 🎄 to everyone 🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄🐄
Jan...must be nice to put on a fresh coat of manure on that new concrete.? Looks nice although the lower bar at the drop in seen to impede some more sold manure. 🍁👍😎
Would you consider the skid steer with the tire scrapper the worlds largest pooper scooper? Tell Neline that Bob said she has beautiful hands even when her nails aren't done! Thanks for doing all you do to keep the rest of us feed!
I was sorely disappointed to watch you scrape all the cow shit on your nice new concrete floor. Oh well, can't stay new forever lol. Nice new loader - this one has an engine cover. Good videos.
What you guys call hairy wart disease and strawberry foot, here in the UK it's digital dermatitis and foul- yea, cuso4 is the most economical way to treat it herd wise, or its picking up feet, spraying the back of the affected foot if it's dig derm or using antibiotics if the foul is making the back of the foot start to go pink and swell up- we can get a drug that is an antibiotic, but no milk withdrawal which is pretty effective for treating fouls. Best way of avoiding those problems- clean as possible areas, minimal muck build up.
Hi Jan. Congratulations on another very enjoyable video. I am a Irish dairy farmer and as matter of interest how many times s week do you foot Bath your cows and why do you use hot water.
Hat on, hat off, two different hair styles, Jan is a hot guy no matter how we dress him. Little loader manure out, big loader manure onto the turd hearse, pretty efficient operation. Good video. Pax.
So I’ve never seen a dark-time (late night) with the ladies recumbent. Do they normally sleep lying down? And you could bring your Bobcat to my house for a little pick up. But, just, wow!! Is your work ever done?
Always enjoy you videos Jan, you guys are very careful of cleanliness and disease etc. That Bobcat is the exception. Don’t know if you do any maintenance to it or remember the last time you cleaned it. Watched the new addition coming along, looking pretty spiffy. Cheers my friend
@@amandavancpsti that’s like saying I’m not going to wash the car because it will only get dirty again. When the sludge or manure gets in the moving parts of the machine it can cause bearing failure or rapid wear because of the sand acts like sandpaper. It also is a rolling germ /disease pit which is what they are trying to prevent. Cheers.
@@gerryspang5917 I rinse the salt off my car living in the Northeast about 1x/mo, but it’s easier to drive thru the car wash than cleaning that. Since they have had the farm for as long as they have, it seems like they are doing something right 😬
@@amandavancpsti they are doing a lot of things right, they are hard working people, they are not that far from where I’m at. I was making a comment, you rinse your car once a month, because you don’t want it to rust, that was kind of what I meant for them. It’s called preventive maintenance.
Why not have the bottom bars on the the rail infront of the "slot" made so the come off or open back or not have them there atal? Do you not wet down the passages before you scrape them
That is a great idea. That bobcat weights twice as much as it should - half the weight is cowpoop. Jan, seriously, you can't have a super clean barn if your equipment is a mess. If you cleaned it once a week, it wouldn't take that long and you would have a nice time for rlaxing while you sprayed the bobcat.
PLEASE also share with us some of the ideas you guys applied but didn't work out well. That can also be a great topic and save others from such mistakes. And we do appreciate what you have been sharing with the whole world. It is a treasure you are sharing. Regards. Live long and healthy... all of you.
Do you have a constant water drip flow through your trough ? We find that with ours it requires an abnormal amount of water to work efficiently ( cool hair!)
Clearly you’re an intelligent, hard worker but also so lucky to have such varied equipment to operate and keep in good repair. 🍀👍🏼👍🏼

It amazes me on the amount of work Dairy farmers do each and every day. Thank you for all you do for us.
I think that's exactly what this (and other) dairy farmers channels are all about. So I suppose it's working 👍🏻
Compliments. You`re families farm looks really clean and neat. ..
Been watching you for a while now but still learn something new...glad see your sister and of course your lady's...thank you for your hard work!!! :))

Jan as always you are smooth in front of the camera and well spoken and always a pleasure to tune in to your Chanel
Would love to see a vlog of what you do when not working. Also, what inspires you to wake up so early everyday and do what you do?
I’d bet Jan’s washing, eating, editing or sleeping! So busy there can’t be time for much else?😊
Hone.

The cow brush is the only chance that skid steer is going to get at getting cleaned. 🤣
LOL
Love learning about your farm. I wish I lived nearby just so I could come and help do things.
Nice to see you need additional space for calves that’s a bonus
Your work ethic is insane! Inspiring man.
Thanks friend Jan for the update scraping the alleys for the first time. Thanks for your hard work in winter. Happy Holidays.🎄
Thanks again for the videos you have! Seems like you have it handled on the care of the cows feet.
What a way to break in new concrete!
Nice job man you almost finished cleaning everything around man

Love your video's someone got there ears lowered looks good!
looks awesome
looking good as always!
Just a quick question, When you open a new part of your barn to cows for the first time, do you drag a magnet around to pick up an errant screws?
🌽Awesome! Simple but awesome drone video
Love your videos Jan! Keep up the work on the Dairy Farm!
Never seen you without a hat before. I agree just a little shorter on top would be great 👍 great video as Always !!!!!!!!
How short should he cut it
Me: appreciates Jan about farming and ladies
Others: Talks about Bobcat, clean the skid steer.
Everytime you said manure, it sounded like a new french wine.
seems like removing the bottom bars in front of the manure trough would make sense to get a clean sweep of the manure
Love seeing you without a hat!
Great video as always, Jan; and...nice haircut
Thank you for what you do and I like to drink milk and I want to own my own dairy cow farm someday
I was sorely disappointed to watch you scrape all the cow shit on your nice new concrete floor. Oh well, can't stay new forever lol. Nice new loader - this one has an engine cover. Good videos.
Nice barn
awesome video Jan. Thank you buddy

The new LED lights are great! Much better on camera.
GOOD AFTERNOON
Thank you for all your hard work
The brown water looks like a Tim Hortons coffee with too much cream in it.
Been missing your sisters videos. Love them too. Let her know 😉
Footbath saves money. Nice work Jon.
New camera looks good Jan!
Nice Haircut !!!! about time and NO HAT.. your killing it....
"I'm super exited to be scraping this manure alley." Doesn't take much to blow a dairy farmers dress up.

Use hot to dissolve the powder better.
Great video
Thank you

Hi Jan
for those doors with the tarps in place if it gets colder can you stack large square bales in front of them till the doors arrive
👍
Hi Jan Iam Indian your job great

He cleaned the skid steer one year ago he mDe a video on that
Why clean it when it will be just as dirty the next time he scrapes? Waste of water, utilities, man hours.

Needs to start a Patreon account called "Wash the Bobcat". Everytime it hits a certain dollar amount, you get paid to clean it. Everybody 😁.
