Outstanding poetry ! ❤️❤️❤️
The acorn pipe was a great find! Well done to Graham and Camille for staying mainly upright!
Absolutely they really did a great job of mud skiing x
How perfect to include a wrap up with your brother I love this.
He literally threw himself into it! Very lucky to find so many pipes. Take care 😀 x
Great video as usual some lovely finds. Lovely to see your brother and his daughter enjoying the lark. Thats them hooked lol.ive dug a few of of the clear poisions lovely find. But my favourite was the miniture flagon.thanks for the hard work that we know goes into making these video thank you.
I think the mystery item that Camille found is a sugar cone mold. It was lovely to have both Graham and Camille included in your adventure!
😊 good idea x
When your brother said during his roundup, "It was GREAT!", he sounded just like you, Andy.
Josie, I love your tiny flagon. So cute! You'll have to share it with us again after you make it a new handle.
He does! If it wasn't so difficult out on the mud it would be funny to see us both with our Dad. Take care 😀 x
Strong family resemblance with the squad. 😊
So obviously Mudlarking runs in the family blood, well done Graham and Camille! One, you both conquered the pattons (?sp) and two your first finds included a beautiful acorn pipe and stoneware! How fun! Have a wonderful week Mudpies Family! Great hunt!
Thanks Julianne, I know they'll be back for more muddy adventures 🤞❤️
Lovely finds, the hospital bottle is a beauty! It's good to meet the family, Graham seems to have caught the mudlarking bug lol! 😀💖x
Hello Amanda, he really got the discovery buzz !😀❤️
The emerald green bottle next to Josie is beautiful.
I look forward to seeing Andy’s brother and niece out with you again.
Wonderful Lark, having such agile family with good eyes along just adds to the fun. Thanks so much.
Bad weather but great finds...the stoneware bottle is quite unique I've never seen any other mudlark's find one...the small one Josie found will be amazing once repaired ...I couldn't help but think how puzzled future scientist would be if your tracks in the mud were frozen in time like the dinosaur tracks in the sandstone here in eastern Canada.. looking forward to your next mud-venture Karl from eastern Canada
LOL… Rain, Wind, Cold … It was a great time! 🤦🏼♀️🤷♀️🤪
Lovely lark. Great seeing the family together. Thank you and cheers.
Nice to meet the family, Squelch Masters. What great finds. Love watching you two. Cheers me up.
A nice family adventure! Nice finds!
Thank you Josie for the pub flask, that was very thoughtful of you I love it. Once I finish decorating my living room and make a display for all your superb bottle finds I will show you a picture of it.
Dave.
Great 1st mudlarking for them. If they liked it with that weather, then they will definitely be back for more. 😊
Fun to meet your extended fam, glad they enjoyed being out in the mud and will go back with you in the future! 😻
What a fun adventure with family!Great finds!
A beautiful English day to be out mudlarking! Glad you got some great finds to make up for it. Some great pipeage and stoneware especially the tiny jug. Oi..oi from Oz! ❤☺️
Great fun. Muddy new year ❤
Ahhh I LOVE the Mudpies so much ❤❤❤
Thanks so much ❤️
lovely to meet some family! they found quite a few treasures. well done all
Great day of sloshing to the finds! 😍 Some nice ones, even for the family’s
beginners! You didn’t mention in the roundup,
that green one in the middle (broken neck)or the olive green one. Liked those!
My favs were the hospital one, Josie’s mini & the acorn pipe. 👏🏻👏🏻for all!❤
Love that acorn pipe! It was so nice to see the family outing. I'm glad that they had a wonderful time despite the less than ideal weather. I'm looking forward to more videos like this. Love the cute stoneware, Josie.
If you aren't sure about the pipes, contact Nicole White from London. She has a book and a lot of pipe knowledge. She's on CZcams, also. Great finds! Loved that your brother and niece came along. I think they had fun.
The lovely large stoneware bottle reminds me of the Plynine ammonia bottles, but minus the print. Extra great finds this week! It's funny how similar you two brothers are 😂
Cheers Richard, going to Google that one 👍❤️
What an absolute BLAST you had with your uncle & cousin, despite the weather. Two belters stand out, the mini flagon and the North London Hospital As far as adding a handle to the mini flagon, you should contact Willie, Dirty secrets of Scotland, Living the Skye Life. He has repaired a number of pieces of stoneware and does an excellent job. A Super Fun video to watch. Many thanks for a wonderful ride!!😁👍🚴🥐🍵
Lovely to see Graham and Camille out with you, despite the atrocious weather!!
Graham’s acorn pipe is wonderful!! Finding that on your first mud lark is great!!
Josie’s little jug is sweet and the big white bottle!!! not to mention the hospital bottle! I love when there are “institutional” items with hospital or railway, etc., items with the name of the institution on them!
Me too (Andy here) we've found items from two different Victorian hospitals, belters! Take care 😀 x
IF I lived in England, I would so be a mudlarker!! Metal detection doesn't hold a candle to what these people are finding! As it is, I have to settle for the things I find along the banks of the Ohio River after a flood....I live quite near Anderson Flats and a nice shallow 'beach'. Mostly I have some beautiful pieces of driftwood, a few bottles, and lots of beautiful 'sea glass'.
Lovely yo see you taking family out on your Larking , great finds guys ❤❤❤❤
Hello Claire a great family adventure, followed by some thawing out in McDonald's!❤️
Amazing recovery and preservation of old artefacts. I hope you can rescue me and put me in a home when I'm finished!
🤣🤣🤣x
Amazing finds and great to see you out with added family members.
Brilliant lark. I really enjoy your trips out on the mud flats. Lovely to see your Fam joining you too. Loved the acorn pipe and the tiny stoneware that Josie found. Well done, Jacs
Thanks so much Jacs! We just need some better weather now. The rivers have been so high. Hope you're both doing well 😀👍❤️
Great finds. The hospital bottle and acorn pipe were favorites of mine. Good job Andy, dragging your brother through the mud. :)
He loved it! x
Some great find mud skiers especially liked the pottery bottle and the tiny pot. Great to see family with you lots of love to Jaffa who’s eyes are lovely and bright
Thanks Ann, Jaffa is currently fast asleep on the sofa, eyes tightly closed 😻x
Happy New Year to you!! Great seeing your brother and niece join in!! Looking forward to seeing more videos in 2024!! ❤
Thanks Jane, they really seemed to enjoy it and Camille skipped across the mud! Let's hope for better weather next time we meet up 😀 x
Magnificent treasures today! Nice to meet some of your family members. ❄️😊❤️🐕🇺🇲
❤️
What a fun family outing. Graham and Camille were very cute. Seems like the whole family enjoys being together!😊
❤️😀👍
The four of you must have constitutions of steel to brave that weather!! Some really interesting finds. Hope you went home and had something warm and bracing.
Sadly McDonald's has to do ! 🤣
the satisfying slurp of an intact marm. Camille, well done! Such pipeage from the fam. The family that larks together….harks? together?
Great finds, nice to see your family enjoying their first mudlark.
Thanks 😊 x
Dirty Secrets of Scotland fixes his stoneware finds for his display all the time! Well before they moved to Skye… perhaps his process will give you some ideas!
Mudlarking with family, awesome 👌😊 looks like you all had a great time despite the weather and you all came away with some epic finds ❤ love it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video 😊😊
It looks like you’ve created a monster…lol. Beautiful finds for all of you. Have fun!
Some lovely finds and great that two more mudpies joined your hunt. I hope they come out with you again. It’s lovely to see peoples faces on their first finds.
Great way to treat the family what fun and if they survived a day like that i bet they will be hooked ,good finds too opaque bottle very odd ,fantastic start to 24.
Happy to see you find the consumption bottle. That way i got to hear Papa MudPie gives us a History lesson. Funny how the pursuit of mundane items of our ancestors bring family together. Thank you Uncle Graham & Cousin Camille for making this episode a True family Adventure. My fave though was the Stoneware bottle. Never seen anything like it & warrants further investigation. Wonder if your friend Richard could help identify. Give Joffa an ear rub & thank you 4 for taking us along
Jaffa has been duly ear tickled, she's cuddled up on the sofa with us right now, staying warm! Take care 😀 x
What a team you four make! Great fun to watch and some total belters 👍👌😍 I really liked the big stone-wear bot and the consumption bot but I do admit to enjoying a pipe or two! 😁 can't wait for the next one guys!
Enjoyed seeing you guys back in the mud. Excellent finds that compensated for the wet weather, the two stoneware items were beauties as was that well decorated pipe. That section of the mud flats warrants another visit, soon. Thanks guys.
Really Really Brilliant 💥💥loved having the crew expand !!!!! Keep it going 🔥🔥🇬🇧🇺🇸
Fantastic lark!
Fabulous finds and great resurch on history.
Keep squelching.
Dave & Ali . Yorkshire way.
Glad you enjoyed it x
Cool, Uncle Mudpie and Cousin Mudpie! What great finds for everyone!
🤣 somehow the weather didn't put them off! They were awesome 👍, take care.
Thank you so much for the adventure and love seeing Graham and Camille's first finds..I'm excited for them and sure they will catch the treasure hunters bug!! 💙
I love the variety. My favorites are hexagonal or octagonal shaped this round. It was funny watching some other folks get muddied into their work. Happy 2024 ! Best wishes from Montana.
No thugs in our house, are there dear?
Welcome to the party, Graham!!
What wet weather you guys had ! A right load of mucky pups. It was awesome to see you sharing your adventures out on the mud with Graham and Camille , ( I hope I've spelt that correctly ) . You all had some lovely finds, but my favourite is the North London Hospital Consumption bottle, it's a belter. Thanks guys for another superb treasure hunt...... Oh ! P.S. Josie, my Daughter LOVES the book of your photographs that was in her Christmas stocking , she was delighted with it and appreciated the effort you put into producing the collection , CHEERS, see you in the next adventure.
Hey thanks Barbara, that's awesome to hear how she enjoyed the zine❤️ Stoked with the finds , although we really have had enough of this disgusting weather now🤣, roll on Spring! Take care legend x
Some top finds in the mud lets hope the weather gets better soon thanks for a great video guys....
Let's hope so Olivia!🤣
Hospital bottle is nice. My mom had TB at the age of 2 in 1937. There were no accommodations for children in rural Tennessee at the time. She and her parents had a quarantine sign on the house. she live to the age of 74.
It's incredible how widespread TB was ! Take care 😀
What a great lark. I love anything medical so the TB bottle is my favourite. A real museum piece.
Great lark mudpies, so nice to see family out in the mud. Some really interesting finds 👍
Thanks Mudpies, great to see that Mudlarking runs in the family. Love the tiny flagon and Graham’s acorn pipe. The TB hospital bottle was interesting, my uncle was in one in the 40’s or 50’s and they were still wheeling the beds outside to give them air then. Not sure if it was that hospital or another one in London. He was also sent down to the south coast for the sea air as well. You’ll have to take your family bottle digging next time 😊
Hello Nicki, I think the nettles may put them off! Graham got really lucky with his pipe finds, it took us months to find our first complete one. It surprised us just how late it was that an actual treatment for TB was found. Thanks for your support, take care 😀
This was fun to watch. Lovely to see some other members of the family get into the mud experience. Nice finds as always and I love the miniature. The consumption bottle is a great find and a keeper. Till next time.
Great finds. Looks like y'all had lots of fun.❤❤
So nice to see your brother and his daughter join you on the mud. Lets have more please. Great fun all round and some good finds too. Stay Safe all of you.
Thanks 😊 x
Could the big stoneware bottle held ginger beer? You all did very well. In was nice to meet more Family. Muddy good reunion!
i haven't seen any mudlarker find an acorn pipe like that. kate of K & C will be jealous! hi to mr. green eyes!
Hello Teresa, we've found pieces of an acorn pipe before but nothing on a par with Graham's ! 😀❤️
Happy 2024! Another fab stroll across the mud with you, and I think it's safe to say Graeme has the mudlark bug lol. Stay warm and dry!
Yes they both seemed to enjoy it and took to the mud skipping well! Oh for a bit of sunshine 😀
Great video, grand finds! The hospital bottle a gem! So great that your brother Graham decided to join and his daughter how special is that! I think he’s got a great collection started! All the best to you all….love the history couldn’t say for finds here in California…. your history is amazing….thank you for sharing your journey 🌼
Hello Andy and Josie, you Squelch LEGENDS! Welcome Uncle Graham and Camille🎉😊❤
I love the various span of timelines of the amazing artifacts you find (secretly, I hope for Roman finds or anything ancient).
8:00 Seeing the 🧠coral was cool!
Beautiful finds, as always! I love the history and images. The round up at the end with you two is almost as fun as watching you slog through thick layers of mud.😅
It reminds me of when I was eight years old:
The first showing of Star Wars had come out in a theater near us (that should tell you how old I am), so me and my brothers and sisters went to see it (well, my sisters wanted to see it and had to drag my brother and I along lol). We had to walk through a huge field which was pure mud- at least 6” deep the whole time. I lost my shoe halfway there and had to be carried until we got to Mc Donald’s, where I was promptly hosed off in the sink.😂 I’m pretty sure I watched the movie with only one shoe.
Thanks for sharing the fruits of your labors with us. Much love to you! ❤😊
PS,
I forgot to mention last time that your new sweatshirt colors are great! I’m going to stop by your Etsy shop in February and see if I can pick out some birthday items for my loved ones. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in there.
Take care and God bless you👋🥰
hoi hoi mudpies, nice search in beautiful weather. I love the stoneware the big bottle is so nice😮. fun to see your brother is loving the action. Great history on the bottle thanks greetings Pieter
Hey hey lovelies. Great to see you again this week! 😊✌️
Thanks Karen, can you send us some better larking weather please 😀👍
Fun adventure! Nice finds!
Great finds, nice to see the family, love the history and the clear “Not to be Taken” is a cool find, the miniature flagon is really nice as well, fab video guys
I’m very intrigued by Graham’s bottle find that has the very deep pontil at the base.
Part of my family’s bottle dump (Pennsylvania stone house dating to late 1700’s) finds included at least 8 intact bottles that nearly identical to Graham’s bottle. While I wouldn’t know if the bottles’ lovely green colors were identical due to the late sixties, early seventies dump digging time frame, the only other difference I can detect is that the bottles we found were a bit larger than Graham’s.
The wonderful Englishwoman who had lived across the road from us for many decades, told us of a very fancy wedding that took place at our house that may have taken place in the very early 1900’s, and she believed that the bottles we found dated back to that occasion. She also believed that they had held French champagne in them; that the particular bottle shape was of French origin.
Our neighbor was a wealth of information, always, and she was like a grandmother to me, although both of my grandmothers were living at that time. She loved that my mother and I were both Anglophiles, and that we both loved history, antiquing and bottle dump digging. I miss her.
Thank you for your videos; I’ve enjoyed all of them!
Love this. My Dad is Andy and his brother was also Graham. Paula.
