I just got this over the weekend. I love it so far.
I'm 14 and queen is my very favorite band! I'd love to have this collection, but it’s far too expensive for me😂 Anyways, I’ll probably get "Queen II" on vinyl :)
@@TheDarrenLock I was 14 about 3 months ago and I saved up to get it. With all my own money. It was the first time I’ve saved over $500 dollars 😂. I’m 15 now and I’m so happy I saved.

If you are going to get one, make it Queen II. It’s their best. It’s my favourite and album cover is my favourite and it has it has a white vinyl, and a black one (as in Side White and Side Black...but there is music on one side of each because the other has the most fantastic engraved Queen crest. Thing of beauty!

I've always liked Queen but only recently started collecting vinyl. As much as I'd love to have this set, There's no way I could afford it 😂. I've just been collecting them individually until I have them all. Thanks for the unboxing so I can get a taste of what it's like 😃
theres a queen 40th Edition thats substantially cheaper with 15 albums all black vinyl.
Amazon has a good price on this particular pack right now $500 where I am which is half price of what other places are selling them for.. just snapped a copy up as a Christmas gift for myself... now its 2 min noodles for the next month
The box is cheaper than buying them individually! The masters are the same. 2011 Bob Ludwig cut by Miles Showell at 1/2 speed on 2015.
They’re usually €30 each now in the shops. That’s €450 for 15 albums.
The box can be got for €400 even €350!
@@KRAZEEIZATION the main problem for me was i couldn't afford it all at once, i really just got an album every once in a while. I also ended up buying only original elektra prints which are generally higher quality (especially some japanese prints i have) and are more fun imo since they're vintage.
@@hayjreynolds641 I don’t own this box because while it is cool, I’ve 2 or 3 even 4 copies of most Queen albums. It’s a lot to splash out and you could get a used Fender Tele for that money. I know I’d rather the guitar although I’ve lots of them. The box is the ultimate eye candy for collectors. I’d like it because I’ve a big fat Queen collection, but I don’t need it! I did buy all the 1/2 speed 2015 pressings too. Madness!

Just bought this box set, I love how passionate he is about the music and how much joy it brought him to see it. You don’t see as many vinyl users nowadays but we certainly are very passionate when it comes to physical music.

Darren, I actually have "The Complete Works" box from 1985! I remember what a revelation that set was because with the exception of "Flash Gordon" and "The Works", I didn't know any of the studio albums. TCW kept me busy for months and months. Although, with today's higher standards, it's probably not that great in terms of production values...No 180g vinyls and (I was disappointed a little bit about it even back then) no original sleeves. But I will forever cherish TCW, not the least because it was a 1986 birthday present from my late mother.
I used to lust after that set when I was a kid. Then this set came out! 😬

It’s a nice thing.
Regarding the plastic album covers.....I believe some plastics (PVC, cellophane?) can damage record covers and even seep through the paper and 'cloud' the vinyl over time. This is why record dealers will nearly always use polythene covers. So it may be a good idea to remove them completely ?

One thing tho.. , you needed to have put your albums back into the plastic sleeves. Would protect them better from accidental moisture.

Even though it was meant to be a single pressing, they have constantly repressed it over the years, so you might be able to get it if you keep your eyes open. 👍
