Worth pointing out, you only have the Polestar mode on this car because it is equipped with the optional Polestar Optimization package. That also means your car is 330 HP / 340 lb. ft. instead of the quoted amount and it also means the shifts are quicker than standard.

You start bybsaying your driving the r design, but then select the polestar driving mode??

You made a great review. When I put the manual mode I always change gear with the gear lever instead of the steering paddles... I’d like to know which is the best between this S60 and the new 3-series you reviewed this summer

      * With the question I’m referring to the manual mode of the shift lever

Thanks mattia riva ! I think the 8-speed ZF in the BMW was a little quicker, although it was pretty good in the Volvo too.

The stop and go feature is not that good because it is slow to go ,cars may be cut you up I had Subaru and it is really good and even let you to choose how the car react ( normal ,dinamic ,etc )
I have and xc40 and I hardly use this feature because the slowleness to resume the ride.

You were talkn about the key fob, which reminded me of the 2020 Hyundai Sonata with its revolutionary tech being highly advanced! There's a smart card available that by just tapping on the door handle the door unlocks! I'm assuming you can insert it into your wallet & pull out of your wallet & it should activate the door through the wallet like what happens at my job. regarding the Volvo, if I was to get a Volvo sedan which is very unlikely, it would be the Pulstar. I viewed a vid by Doug DeMuro when he reviewed that model, and I must admit that that puppy was so nice. I know it's probably $10K more but 400HP would be worth it. Oh yeah, one more thing regarding the Hyundai Sonata that blew me away, was how it moves in & out of tight parking spaces with just pressing on the key fob! Can Volvo do that? Talk about cutting edge technology, Hyundai's knocking it out of the park for a fraction of the $$$ of what other cars that cost twice as much can do. Hyundai's only drawback however is it's fwd & a 4 banger.

The 2020 Sonata is really impressive tech-wise and looks good too. It’s amazing what you can get for the money.

I agree from design perspective they nailed it, inside and out. I am not a fan of those turbo 2 liters, I prefer BMW straight six like you have. Otherwise a solid car, I just lease it because of that engine and my fear of its reliability.

Agreed, I wish they weren’t all 4-cylinders, especially the Polestar - that’s a lot of power pushed out of a small engine even though a big part comes from the electric motor. I don’t know how proven reliability-wise these engines are but then again BMWs have had their issues too. But like you I also prefer a straight-six. I think leasing the S60 is a smart choice.
