Brilliant DO's, we need more of this. And that Tunnel at 0:32 had me salivating lol
Hellooo🙂👋
Actually if while you're overtaking, you have the right of way. And before overtaking, you have to check if you are being overtaking at the time. The first close call was NOT your fault!
I don't know the exact laws so I don't know if you're actually right. But I'm not interested in the "legal" side of this anyway. All that counts is the fact that I've put someone else's life at risk. That's a no go. I'm convinced that there are roads and places where responsible speeding is doable. But once I'll decide to go fast I need to be mature enough as well to prevent situations like this from happening. I don't only have to watch out for other and slower road users but I also have to be ready to compensate their mistakes. It was my fault for not realizing the potential danger. Although it was completely obvious that he's going to overtake any moment it didn't stop me from overtaking all of them. Which was incredibly stupid and 100% my own fault.
Schaaf he putted your life at risk actually.
Second this. At least in Germany, if you change lanes you have to give the right of way to the lane you change into and you are not allowed to drive into anyone's safety distance while doing so. This is, why I hate people, who cut in line right in front of you, almost causing an accident, and arguing "But I indicated". 😧 That said, Schaaf you are absolutely right. Especially we motorcycle riders have to account for any stupid behavior and dangers, even committed by others. 😃
"I had the right of way" is a good quote for a gravestone.
Schaaf It is only critical if you are overtaking a car which is overtaking a bike overtaking a car 🤪
I am currently lying in bed, after 3 weeks of hospital and 3 operations to flush out my septic knee after my speed triple landed on my leg and dragged it down the road. Cold tyres loose gravel on the black top you know the script. Consultant said if I'd waited another 12 hours before going into AE I'd have gone into the end stages of septic shock and wouldn't be here today. Believe it or not the accident happened nearly 3 months ago. I was wearing Kevlar jeans which stopped dirt entering the wound, but didn't stop the road from putting a relatively small hole in my leg. I went back to work after a week and fell ill 4 weeks later with what I thought was man flu. My point is, I love my bike, but I love life just as much. I never thought that a squashed knee could have killed me 😐
wow. That sounds alarming indeed! Glad you survived and thanks for sharing your experiences!!
You've just had bad luck man. Probably an ointment with antibiotics just after crash could solve the problem, I had the same year ago, I finished with a long scar. Quick recovery!
Actually, in Germany he would be at fault because he should check his mirrors first.
+LoOsE_uNiT he should've checked his mirrors for sure. But like I said in the video it still was 100% my fault. If you want to ride fast you HAVE to think for anybody else out there. Otherwise riding like this would be way to irresponsible in my opinion!
+Schaaf In Germany that is not how it works :-D You can be doing 150 and still have someone coming who is doing 250+ and the person who pulls out in front of the car doing 250+ is at fault here :)
+LoOsE_uNiT it's the same in Austria with having to check your shoulders. But only on the Autobahn. Not on 1 lane country roads ;) And I'm preeeetty sure in Germany this behaviour of mine would've been against the laws too
+Schaaf Well, depends on which part of it :-P Still, in my opinion I wouldn't blame either party as both made mistakes. Of course we can debate the laws for endless amounts of time, but you both fucked up :-D And if it was me on either one of the bikes I would have said that I made a mistake, as you have done! Love the videos! Keep on riding!
Another interesting video! I had backwheel slide in Dolomites- you can see this on the end of my Compilation #2 from Alps. It was so close...
Cant believe you have so few subscribers(relatively)... much better videos than majority of the really popular moto-vlogers. Keep it up
Great video, first one i've seen of you and immediatly subscribed!
hahaha exactly what I thought after watching your road trip video!! Thanks, mate!!!
Love how fearless you ride man, keep it up. definitely a skilled rider. subbed :)
thanks a lot!! Appreciated!
You are crazy, Schaaf! :)
Good reaction bro, all about skill.... be safe bro!!
Wow Schaaf, You are one of the most badass' rider on the tube! :D The joke about Carinthia was absolutely eye-watering (I laughed my arse of :D ) Keep it up the great work! Greetings from HUN! Cheers.
Mega Video! Bei dir word es nicht langweilig! Immer wieder was neues!! Sehr geil!!!;)
Und ja habe es gesehen Herr Schaaf musste pipiii:D so muss weiter part 2 gucken :-P
you know how to have fun dude!! xD have fun
You never shit yourseld when your footpeg hits the ground? And realises there might be sand or something in the corner? :o
you'll get used to the scraping! I was scared too when it happened for the first times. Dirt or obstacles on the road are a constant danger. But I have to accept these kind of risks if I want to have fun going fast.
This was the video that made me subscrive, i watched it yesterday and i imediatly subscrived, im hooked on your videos !
I really appreciate the sub and your nice comment, thank you! :))) I always try to stay as calm and relaxed on my bike as possible. This certainly helps to react in a correct way in "scary situations" like these :)
Awesome mov, thank you!
What a fantastic video.. I couldn't take my eyes off it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
thanks
Awesome mate :)
top notch bro!
well spotted! I've changed both tires after the whole trip was over! :)
Your crazy bro!lol i guess if i had a bike like that i would probably be doing some crazy stuff too, but hey bikes are made for fun right? Good video though, and keep riding and having fun man!!:)
thanks a lot man :)
finally, a non-anonymous down-voter! Thanks for that!
they certainly are. But the extremely low mounted exhaust on the CB on the right side makes it even worse ;)
Nice vid and very handy those timemarkers in the discription. I recognice that right indexfinger 😃.
thank you :)
Hi,
I liked your videos man even though its scary.. haha.. Keep on posting..
thanks :)
3:39 best part!!!🤣 Love it when people are having fun with motorcycles even by themselves 🤣
:)
Hahahahahaha!!!! I like more the left turns that right ones too, but not at this highly level!!
Very good video!!
thanks man
great riding.. right hand corners need love too!
exhaust says no :D
Impressive footpeg-scraping! And LOL @ the stones.
thanks ;)
Great riding!
Definitely! Although I can be quite stupid on my Honda too sometimes...
I only experienced parts of northern Italy with my motorcycle. South and Central Italy are certainly very different! But my overall experiences with car drivers in those parts of Italy where I've been riding myself where certainly more positive than here in Austria.
Oh Schaaf, da hast du wieder voll ins schwarze getroffen!
Freue mich schon auf Teil 2. :-)
thank you! That's in "Triglav National Park" in Slovenia!
yea, this is exactly how it feels to me. And most Austrian drivers certainly stick to the laws and, like you said, some of them even enforce our road laws. Those people certainly have big problems with us bikers having fun on the road. I guess most of them are just jealous.
as if my face wasn't messed up enough already haha :)) Thanks!
well, I got home safely with it ;) That piece of paper is my cheapo-satnav!!
thank you very much!!! There are a few reasons for my relatively low number of subs. But the main ones certainly are my very inconsistent numbers of new uploads and the fact that my channel is neither monetized nor partnered. So it's rather hidden here on YT ;) At least it's much easier to communicate with a rather small "fanbase" :)
thanks a lot, RJ! I've come across quite a few nice tunnels back then. But I'm not sure if your ZOOM could handle the special Nuda treatment in these super-narrow things ;)
Thank you very much! Unfortunately I don't live too near these amazing roads. They are at least a daytrip away from my hometown. So I don't know them very well, actually :)
absolutely! Fortunately mine stayed dry but I'm afraid our German friend might have had a little accident down there ;)
glad you like them!! Thank you!
Some awesome roads there, that tunnel is sick. Close call was def close, you would of been long gone down that mountain.
Just goes to show you don't need to spend lots of money to have lots of fun. Great vids !
True! Thanks!
I admire ur confidence man..respect
thx
To overtake, you have to check your mirror and your dead angles ("blinds" says translator ) when there good, you put your indicators and start the overtaking, that how we have to do in France. Sure you arrived a bit fast yes, but if the German friend had to look if somebody overtaking him, or indicate his movement, this close call did not appened.
That's how it should be done everywhere. But it still was my fault because it's my responsibility to watch out and think as well for slower road users.
Yep:-) nice react:-)
+Nino Pallavicini vielen Dank, Nino!
That sign came close to being your new face :O Subbed :)
Awesome riding, also please do not die!
The Situation at 0:20 is such a classic. Its just clear that he wanted to overtake. i see this with cars a lot. I do now wait for them to pass as its the safest way. Blinkers pfff who even uses them? :P
it's no big deal as long as you can trust your bike and, more importantly, your tires!! :)
Hello Schaaf !
Each video is even better than the old one, when are you gonna stop!
4:40.....I saw you..héhéhé ;-)
danke für die perfekte Erklärung ;)
I was always wondering how it's like to hit a bump with high(er) speed on motorcycle.... always imagine scenes like in cartoons etc... but, thanks to you, it's not THAT much scary. And man you drive that thing ... I think i'm in love with honda cb500 now :D Subed ;)
Mensch, der "full steam ahead" hatte mich 😂
:D
would love to see you ride on a proper sports bike :D you would tear it up!!! nice riding dude :D
danke vielmals!
Honda CB 500! Thanks, man!
You sir, have skill! Nice ride
Danke vielmals!!
great skills!
thank you!
love it!
glad you do! Thanks!
Nice!
thanks, mate! Although I'm not so sure about my skills on any other bike. Riding and handling the little CB500 is incredibly easy!! Many people just don't know that ;)
I like it, that's how i do it too, do almost of all random things too when it's on empty road. hahaha.always do safety ride dude! :)
thanks! You too ride safe! :)
Wegpunkte! Ist mein Billignavi!
thanks, Quentin!! :)
indeed! But I'd rather fly off the mountain anytime than causing an accident involving strangers. I usually try my best to only put my very own life at risk.
thank you very much, mate!
aa now I get it. Thanks!!
Danke!
I love ur riding style 😀😀
thanks Uday
danke dir!
Danke!!
Danke vielmals, Dejan!! :)
incredible places, jealous :p
thanks!
Dark side of schaaf 😂😂😂
brilliant
Are those goats?? Where in the world are you from? :) Nice! I love them. The saying, "I slipped on goat scat" is probably not uncommon.
Austria. Goats, cows, sheep, we have it all ;)
Youre definitely a mental one! My back tyre is as bald as yours right now, riding the CB hard :)
dank dir vielmals!!
thanks a lot!
For the weekend rides you should get rear sets Schaaf!
Ok
thank you very much for watching and for your nice comment, Samurai!!!
