Why not give up the sanctions? That's just showing you don't really want peace. If you're not afraid of No. Korea and you want to show a sincere gesture towards peace than lifting the sanctions is the first step. It doesn't hurt the U.S. at all, it only helps North Korea grow which is what Trump says he wants for NK in the long run.
