Vintage Dettori! Trawlerman and Frankie down Kyprios in Long Distance Cup

- Frankie Dettori kicked off British Champions Day with a bang by steering Trawlerman to a thrilling victory in the Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup.
On the day billed as his final day riding in Europe before heading overseas, the Italian rolled back the years to not only dazzle at Ascot once more, but also register yet another big-race victory in the royal blue silks of Godolphin.
The 52-year-old was eager throughout to not let the outsider Maxident have too much rope on the front end and was the only one to chase Dominic Ffrench Davis' charge aboard the 9-1 chance, as Owen Lewis pushed the tempo heading downhill.
Having pursued Maxident and hit the front four furlongs from home, Trawlerman was passed by Aidan O'Brien's staying star Kyprios rounding the home bend with Ryan Moore soon searching for the winning post.
However, Dettori switched his mount and asked for extra and he bravely battled back to haul in Kyprios and prevail by a neck

Trawlerman really got that second boast when one horse get in front of him...I still remember his race against Alfred Boucher and earl of tyrone. But doing that against the best in business.. that was something else🌟🌟

Having followed racing for over 50 years I'd say that that was a poor ride from Ryan
There's a good few races he'd like to ride again.
not at all, just won of those mad races, they pulled miles clear, kyp just idled abit, he stays all day, winner went 1000-1 in runnin. crazy race.
@@TerryEggettagree! the fact is that Ryan Moore (great jockey) often makes mistakes. Frankie never does! Last real mistake I remember Frankie did, it was with Emily Upjohn in the Oaks.
Frankie is the best but we can remember that his father is Gianfranco Dettori . An champion's family!( sorry for my bad english)

What a sensational run in the end, Franky very keenly pulled and aim to his left and stretching it, if he not move on correct spot he definitely no time to pass the Ryan and kyprios it's a nothing than fantastic ride.

Frankie outrode Moore there, Ryan went for home very quickly and gave Frankie a chance to get back. If you ran that race 10 times again Kyprios would win every time. Vintage Dettori the king of Ascot

Yes the fully fit Kyprios could win by 6 lengths. That's where Ryan tactics messed up.
Probably Trueshan was tired from his other races. I needed to edit Kyprios would have a tough time with Trueshan in top form.
Horse racing can always be unpredictable otherwise we would all be rich.
That's why I backed nobody in this race out of the 6 races.
yep its fine margins. he kept something in reserve did frankie...but if he had of been beaten by a neck they would have said..why did you not kick when you had the lead

I'd say he was halfway through typing his usual CZcams knowledge is power, Frankie is a joke message as Ryan swept by before the 2 pole only to have to rapidly delete it 😂

Oh what a joy to see Franky turn over the morons fav trainer. Then Paddington flopped and Franky won on King of Steel. He will be in mummies basement in his nappy crying tonight.

You’ve all got it wrong 😂 Dettori went way too early, he was just damn lucky that Trawlerman kept going and Kyprios lacked a bit of fitness in that going.
No, Kyprios went too early, Moore should have nursed him a little a delayed his challenge.

@@joemac9249He did look pretty tired, I was a little bit surprised that Moore didn't make more use of Paddington though, he's usually very prominent throughout the race, especially as he also stays 10 furlongs and he's riding him like a hold up type.
Hello where is Ryan Moore fan boys😂😂Awful Ride from Ryan moore .An apprentice jockey ride much better than him..Ryan moore should retired, he always makes silly mistakes..But everyone knows that Ryan moore will never going to beat Frankie if both of them are riding good horses in same race..Ryan moore i think it's time for you to retired .He should learn how to ride horses from Frankie
