Nah! We don’t give a shit at UPS. Had nothing to do with it. Shit gets lost all the time and ends up in our facilities over goods department. Eventually the claim will make it there and they will look for it and if you’re lucky it will be there. Shit happens. I found a NDA envelope that had fallen off one of our belts and it turned out to be over 5 years old 😂
Generally speaking, in dealing with garbage companies, all you have to do to get things moving, is light a fire under the CEO's asses.
One of the reasons why i advocate for severe punishments for those in "term" at the head of a company, it would sure cut the trash mentality they have towards customers. Make those in charge punishable, easily so, and then you'll see, how magically, you won't get ripped off by hApple or Micro and very Soft and so on...

@Power 2 Weight Ups never stole anything from Rob. Rob misrepresents every bad encounter he's had with UPS for his own selfish reasons. His original 4 rotor parts suffered the same mishap as his clutch. I bet it's all label related. If you dont secure your label properly and it falls off the box (happens a lot) then the courier has no info to deliver or return the items. They sit in a warehouse until they are properly identified and claimed or they are auctioned off to the public.

J K I get the point of the educational purpose. But this time was not needed! Sometimes you have to know when to leave well enough alone.
Just picking up flywheel and clutch together like a dinnerplate clearly shows how lightweight it is.

I’m excited for this car and can’t wait to see the finished product. Even if it isn’t all built for sema 2019. Dude wear gloves when touching friction surfaces. Oil from your hands is no good. Also you need to use the butt plug of doom tool when you put the clutch in. It's super tight tolerances are to align all the plates perfectly so at high RPM things don't spin even a little out of balance. Bust out the KY warming lube I hear those clutch plugs slip right in with that stuff (don't get it on the friction plates).
I grabbed gloves halfway into the video as I realized what I was doing. I cringed. But yeah you are right.

Ya'll are doing great work and even as an long time mechanic and hot rodder I am learning about alot of stuff I didn't know about either, from both the videos and excellent comments section. @@luchacefox259 The buttplug does not have to be that freakishly tight as you only need it once(hopefully) for about 2min. It's just made to align the plates with the center of the eccentric shaft so you can mount the gearbox easily. The ingoing shaft of the gearbox will keep them there once it's mounted.

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING...that buttplug will be needed if we are gonna be that ANAL....dont worry you can piss on the clutch and it will still work as soon as you release it it wipes itself off for you duhhhhh...yeah you shouldnt SOAK the fuck out of it in used motor oil but even if you do , it will be fine....yes clutches can fail if the rear main seal is leaking like a faucet for months but thats different, they fail because the CONSTANT river of oil makes them slip CONSTANTLY

Shouldn't the metal plates come like brake rotors, covered in a protective oil that needs to be cleaned off before installation? If they do, then Rob touching them would cause no issues, as they would need to be cleaned before he actually installs it.

Experience from working at a UPS Warehouse, when stuff like this happens we will all take time before or after the shift and search the entire warehouse for whatever is missing, we usually end of up finding it under some equipment or hidden among trash.
You know its going to be a good video when professor rob teaches you about the forbidden buttplug and its importance for the foreplay clutch

A hydraulic clutch is so cool. Congrats on this choice! My grandpa came home from war with only one leg. So he got a car with a similar solution. It had only 26 hp, but this way he was capable to shift gears quickly like no other without.

Roberto, I don't really dig rotaries but I respect them a lot. I have been watching many of your videos and I like how you have built this car, its pure awesomeness. Also, good to see you pumped and happy for getting the clutch back. I know what it feels like when the whole universe works against you at every corner, but you always have to pull trough. It's possible that the aligning tool is done oversize to make sure that the input shafts gets as smooth a travel in as possible. Had a custom clutch job done by a machinist friend and that was one of this doleances in regards to most off the shelf clutch aligning tools, they aren't tight enough and therefore, even aligned, it's still a hassle, because of the slop. And he was right, i could barely get the tool in, but when i put the transmission in...it was butter. Seriously, the best install job ever. And considering it was a Merc bitch to slide in, i couldn't be more grateful, that thing weighs more than a mother.
That's what I was gonna say when you install it and have the ability to tighten the bolts after you wanna leave it someone loose so the disc can move. All in all that is an gangster clutch setup and that collector is sick !!!
