I like Rob's gopro harness. It makes me feel like he's carrying me around like a baby and explaining rotaries to me.
got the same thought.
He's not being called Daddy Dahm without a reason.
@@mt4xcs hehe so true he can adopt me anny time.
awe that's a cute thought
I keep thinking he broke his arm
Hey Rob quick note whenever you open the throttle body it is the law that you MUST make a rotary sound with your mouth......its the LAW.....!!!
chuxmall I did it for him lol
And when closing the throttle, insert the Michael Scott Sha ta ta ta sound
Bra brab brab brab brab brab brab brab brab braaaaaaaaaab! Your welcome
@@alexalfonso100......hey that would be the exhaust lol

His palms are sweaty
Knees weak, arms are heavy
Holley on the motor already, Rob Spaghetti
Barty Crowell hey guys rob spaghetti here
haha..
His mouth is dry, buttcheeks are clammy
Puckered lips, smack yo mammy
Haha, hoho, oh no, fo sho.
Daddy Rob got a 4 roto moto.
His arms spaghetti
Spaghetti on his spaghetti already
I do have one thing to say, this build is amazing, but if you DO NOT get a custom fire extinguishing setup built into the car, the professional ones that fill everything with foam ect. all it takes is one of those fittings to go slightly wrong, and well, if you want evidence, Mazdas current DPi car catches on fire due to fuel/turbo problems almost every endurance race it takes part in, and its not even a rotary. They are very expensive, and a headache to maintain, but a fire in a bay like that becomes uncontrollable in seconds. Most likely you already have a plan, but just in case you needed someone to yell at you some more, here is my one annoying backseat comment. Live everything you do rob!
Rob Dahm looking at those fuel pumps: **Bad flasbacks of the 3 rotor blowing up hits him back** 🤣
I was Just about to say That . Stuff using the Fuel cell that Killed the 3 rotor .
It needs the Mechanical fuel pump !!!!!
The Animal less weight on the eccentric shaft will be better tho in the long run and these are no mere mortal electric fuel pumps
Today Rob increases the power of the succ for his fuel system
This car is going to see some serious succing blowing and banging action
With three C's
😫💦
Like 1 HP of suck lol.
"When you red-line but she still succin"
Next video: I remade myself out of billet aluminium
Aluminum?
@Howdy Justice Rob dahm is gonna rebuild his body out billet steel next vid
@Howdy Justice yup. My bad. There is such a thing as billet steel though. Just got mixed up
@Howdy Justice Billet is just a fancy word for a piece of metal. From what I understand the way metal flows through the molds when casting makes the resulting part weaker than if it was machined to the same spec from a block, at least for complex shapes, which is why you hear about billet blocks so much with very high horsepower cars. For small custom stuff like a lot of these parts getting it machined is cheaper anyway.
Next video #2: I replaced my heart with Holley brushless fuel pump
Holley is really stepping up supporting this build. Who know Holley had such badass parts. Great idea to use electric fuel pumps. You need a swirl pot.
Apparently only YOU didn't know. They are making lots of hard core stuff and have done for the EFI market.
Holley has been a staple of the hot rod scene since forever, hell even edelbrock got into the import scene when it exploded in the US back in the early 00s. I love the fact that they are willing to do whatever they can to make anything go as fast as possible!
Holley has been around mate! Check out the homie Cleetus McFarland if you haven’t already! His nutty V8-powered cars all have the Holley systems!
David Benner my Honda motor has multiple JG/edelbrock components and I couldn’t be happier to have a touch of muscle on there 😎 they both do a lot of great things in the import category
Kraig B my point exactly, most people that build imports stick to “JDM” companies, but as far as I’m concerned go fast parts are go fast parts and as long as you meet your goals it doesn’t really matter who makes them as long as they are worth the investment.
I love these daily vids, watch from start to end
Me too!
Me 3!
That is a really good looking aluminum weld for someone so new to welding
Yep I thought the same thing
The welds a not the nicest but not bad at all
It's a hell of a lot better than the time I tried to weld aluminium
@@kirkc9643 me too man.. lol
I'm so sick of long videos from channels doing daily uploads that are just so monotone and boring.
Rob, your videos are so much fun to watch. Your quick wit and humor that pops up here and there is perfect. Your explanation of what you are doing is simple and not overly complicated. I am learning about a rotary engine at the same time watching a monumental project unfold.
Your excitement is attractive and your style is pleasing.
What an awesome channel, thank you for doing what you do.
Well put. I concur.
I concur
Having owned a normal 300bhp RX7, I can’t even imagine how much fuel this beast is gonna use! I think the first pull will offset last years eco-footprint from all Tesla owners! 😂
Yes and no. Look up what goes into making those batteries. Those things are not as eco friendly as one would assume.
Probably 3 miles a gallon babying it lol
Yeah its going to be burning up massive amounts of fuel for sure lolz.
@@TexasVexes Engineering explained has multiple videoes on that subject
When Rob said “She shot my dreams down completely” I felt that.
Hands down, best car channel on YT. Thanks Rob!
Agreed
I'm so torn between the 4 rotor build, and b is for builds v8 tt lambo
@@alexelrod242, I find Rob much more entertaining. Plus he gets more into the details, which is informative and entertaining. B is for Build is another favorite of mine, but Oscar does most of the work, and we never hear from him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i also like cleetus, boostedboiz amd pfi speed alot
Well JP Performance is at least for a German guy the go to for car YT Channels because they make real nice power street legal (and the German law hates tunners)
But Robs Channel is one of the best car channels and of course THE BEST ROTORY CHANNEL on YT
This holley deal was one of the best things to happen for the 4 rotor, im assuming you will be at their booth during sema, im excited to see this thing everywhere!
its that time of the day again, car porn seeing the 4 rotor again.
Universes rob is making no stroke september i’m possible
Porn? really.. i see a shit load of money being dumped into a unreliable pile. Its funny because this is nothing but a waste for some 4 rotor revenue.. You fucks get lit over rotary's yet they fucking suck. there is a reason they are no longer offered in modern cars. Awesome build but a waste.
@@zuestoots5176 Hmm.. yes, they are pretty unreliable but you should not forget that there are certain aspects about these engines that people really love. Otherwise they wouldn't keep building them and Rob is one hardcore lover of these things. Everybody does what makes them happy and if someone wants to spent over three hundred thousand dollars on a 4 rotor rx7 that's pretty cool I think because not everybody is able to do what they love
Unreliable in the hands of incompetent people who can't even comprehend an engine that's not into bondage, like the most fucks who buy a rotary and break it, or complain about it online with or without having owned one.
The engine is plenty reliable, it's you end users who can't take care of it because you're used with iron pigs who can't make power unless they get on steroids.
dont listen to the haters, keep daily uploading these sweet build vids
I turn 35 next week, hopefully by the time I turn 40 this build should be fired up.. been waiting so long,.
Enjoy the journey-it makes the destination even better & seem closer
Course is not your money in your time.. Rob thank you for sharing
You’re not alone ❤️ hundreds of thousands of us are with you in spirit, and watching your dreams unravel!
This is the cleanest build ever. I like how you say your just documenting what your doing, not really just making them for views.
Huge respect for the salomondrin roast
He seems stoned every video I see these days. he needs roasting.
What time stamp was that?
Opening comment.
@robdahm where is Jaret? You need some supervision.
Hey dude, most of us out here love what you're doing, so keep up the good work its an inspiration whitenessing this build from scratch. Very inspiring, especially when I'm watching from Barbados where they're no rotaries at all and owning one is a dream for me. So keep it up cause you're teaching all of us and have a good journey bro.
Rob Dahm whispering "it's billet" ASMR 10 hours
Okay who's complaining over daily updates on this car.... I want every detail 😬
Me too
It it just nice to watch Rob put all the parts together and u cann see same progress
At the start of the build where the breaks between the videos so long I thought it might just went quite down
Wasn't expecting maita dad to comment love both your show and robs for all the details
@@dougyboote gotta keep it technical 💯💯
Who's complaining? Lol I love my daily dose of dahm :D
Ron , you are definitely a wild nut , please do not stop , I have watched all your videos and if anyone else would watch you just once they would be hooked too , you just being so hooked on billet aluminum is something to be watched on its own so keep on doing what you do so well , it is enjoyed .
Love hearing how excited you are about this. Glad it’s finally coming together
Just yesterday I was checking out fuel pumps. Check out Aeromotive's 5GPM variable speed brushless.
I work at TE Connectivity making those DEUTSCH or "douche" connectors as you've called them. AKA I may officially be part of the 4 Rotor build.
Well keep up a good work and be proud of it
Do you guys work with milspec?
Rob, Glad that you like the twin VR fuel cell setup! I'm one of the Fuel System Engineers for Holley and designed the unit you have. As you see on the flow charts the pumps really come alive at higher voltages. Main complaint with the unit are the small filters. They work fine but don't cover much surface area. If this is a concern we have / will soon have a pump adapter that straps onto the pumps and gives you an AN inlet that can be used with a HydraMat like the 16-108. Let me know if you have any questions going forward.
Making daily videos about the things you're so passionate about is exciting. If people don't like it they've probably never been so happy about something themselves.
4:45 my girlfriend doesn’t like my 4 pump setup either
Bryce you tried
30 pump minimum 😉 and of course I'm talking about water pump, windshield washer pump, oil pump ...... 😂😂😂
I’m a 2 pump chump... so I’ve been told..
So many videos I feel like the Vince McMahon gif 😝
I love the daily videos, it lets me keep up with "overkill" (its what i have been calling this car for a year now) daily. I have learned so much from you about rotarys and cars and you have inspired me with your determination to finish the car. Keep doing what you love and there will still be plenty of us who'll watch every upload from start to finish.
Rob you're doing an excellent job this is how it is when your friend has a project and you're with him helping him it's a day-to-day step by step sometimes slow sometimes monumentous process. Thanks for allowing us in on that
Rob: I might be physically alone, but im sharing this moment with you guys...
Me: *tears slowly coming down my face* i love you Rob please marry me
But slim
What if u win
Wouldn’t it b wierd
Yo that was outta nowhere 😂😂 dying
I watch daily for a few reasons.
1st I wanna see that thing go.
2nd Rob has so much passion and enthusiasm for the rotor.
3rd I am learning about rotaries I may never own one but now have some knowledge on the mighty rotor.
My heart is starting to race watching it come together!!!!! I can finally see your vision through your work.
"When I sneeze it sounds like a bov". You droppin bars dahm?
So when are we gonna see an 8 rotor in the Diablo?😂
bruh he hasnt even finished the corvette
Don't challenge rob dahm. He will deliver. In 3-4 years. Maybe.
Or that 12 rotor buddy built for powerboat racing or whatever.
Rob, it looks amazing! I cannot wait to see the project completed. Keep posting daily videos!!
Bruh i look forward to these videos so much. I literally speed home from work to watch the series unfold. I enjoy everything about these videos and your channel
Drop the 90 deg AN's for some 45s and it will fit like a charm
I know you will never show it but what happens when the first start up sounds and runs like a Briggs & Stratton 5 HP Engine ?
Engine assembly: halfmast to fullmast with the addition of each component. Can't wait to hear that baby roar!
I like the daily videos. Document all you want, it's your build. It is something that will be historical in the automotive world. Oh and Billet all the things.
You are going to want a mechanical pump. Trust me at some point you are going to want a mechanical pump.
Nope Brushless are the future. Hot Rodders tend to be cheap and Mechanical is a cheaper solution not a better one.
@@dj4monie It's 10times better. 1 high quality mechanical pump can pump up to 3-4k horses and keep gas low on temperature ;)
You can keep low temp without using a cumbersome mechanical pump that robs the engine of power, has no control and so on. Brushless motors have been proven from RC to thousands upon thousands of variants of cordless tools. It's one of the most reliable and power efficient types of electric motor (AT their size package, they get rubbish once you scale them up). If i were him, i'd keep a bottle of liquid nitrogen in the trunk (one liter should be enough) and have the fuel lines pass in and out through a block alu that's cored in the bottle. He'll never give two shits about fuel temp after that.
@@aserta sounds like a lot of maintenance
aserta when one of your 3 brushless pumps fails and you don’t have adequate fuel pressure and melt down the engine due to a lean burn issue... you’ll wish you had 1 mechanical.
im watching the entire video, from beginning to end. i cant get enough of the billet goodness! love the daily videos!
These daily videos are so unprofessional, I love them!!!! Keep it raw and show us the rotary.
Your enthusiasm is amazing!
Love the daily updates!! Thanks for documenting the process and bringing us along the glorious ride.
Hey Rob! I love your videos and how detailed you go into the explanations of each component. It is great to see somebody so passionate about what they’re doing and as you said, sharing how proud they are of what they’re doing. Can’t wait to see the next steps of your build!
I'm loving the daily videos. As someone who learned combustion engines by learning rotaries, this project is epic for me.
Your sign off today was, not just true to yourself, but its exactly what rings true to your fans. Keep it going Rob!!!

The AWD 4 Rotor Dorito-mobile is awesome and I’m really stoked you’re getting to live your dream, but you had me at Rotary Corvette. That’s one of the most Hot Rod things ever and I love the adventure to get it to LS Fest! Don’t waste time arguing with people on instagram when you got the project of a lifetime to build! I can’t imagine the levels of stress and excitement you must be going through but I love that this series of videos isn’t like a Discovery channel show. Keep’em comin’ man!
So glad to hear you say you’re going to continue the daily videos. I’m new to your channel, and the daily videos have me coming back every day. It’s all the details we miss out on when a build is posted in a few summary videos.
I am not one who hates the daily uploads, won't lie here, when you brought the 4 rotor to sema all those years back I found your channel and since then have been waiting as much as you have for this car to be completed. Just so pumped to hear it fire up for the first time, coming from a rotary nut as well, would love to build a 4 rotor close to this one day. Keep it up rob, you're setting yourself up for being a pioneer in half mile 🤘🤘🤘
Spectacular work! Amazing watching your progress
Real Car enthusiasts love your daily dose of content. I watch you every episode and you never get boring. A little wanky at times but never boring. Keep those videos coming.
For those of us that can not afford to be building cars of this caliber please keep up the daily videos, it’s really the high point of my day
Keep documenting!
I've waiting for that moment for something like 3 or 4 years, to watch this finally happening is great
I feel the best part of these vids are the excitement you show while your filming
Enjoying the added content - thanks Rob! Can't wait to hear this puppy fire up for the first time!
It took me experiencing RC cars with brushless motors to finally understand the whole brushless vs brushed thing. There's so much more power with brushless, and with the correct speed controller just as much finesse and no parts to wear out so long as they stay lubed. good stuff!
I’m so excited for this build! Amazing work!
Screw what other people say. You are living your dream and you’re sharing it with others who have the same dream and also inspiring others to do what they want
I love the step by step view into the build of this one of a kind monster and I wasn't even a rotary fan before these videos
Love the new camera format. Not near as shakey and can see first hand what's going in. I'm not a rotary guy but I love hp and custom builds. Cant wait to see what this thing does!
I’m so excited for your uploads. It’s such an awesome build. Can’t wait to see her run. 😃
I like these videos because they are so anti-bullshit. No intro, no outro, no cutting out mistakes, nothing. Just straight up good shit
Love the passion. Can't wait to see this thing running.
I freaking love it man, I saw this at SEMA, and I've been heavily following since, everything looks so good
Super excited for you Rob! This thing is coming together quickly.
I'm reaaaally enjoying watching the build. Keep the videos coming
Keep the vids going. I love all the custom parts. Plus it seems your upbeat Attitude allows you to smile and laugh at complications and frustrations which is refreshing.
Love your videos. Love the daily videos. Always look forward to them. Never been into rotary engines and dont know much about them. But your videos sure do help. Keep up the good work!
It just keeps looking better and better!
I engineer for a company called Skydynamics, and I listen to these videos everyday on my hour drive to work. Love the content, love the RX7, rock on Rob
Thank you for putting out all these videos, some of us really appreciate it!
I am not a car guy but I love watching your videos and seeing the projects you do. Daily videos are cool keep it up and have fun doing something you enjoy!
I love these update videos. Good job!
Thanks for sharing this monumental moment with us rob
Thank you poppa Rob, for everything.
Hands down one of the best videos to date. For the four rotor.
yess please keep making these i love them and learning about the 4 rotor
i have a single i have been testing and made 800whp through a th400 and saw fuel pressure falling off, so two of them should do 1500+ on a manual trans easily
Thank you for sharing this dream build with us
Greez from Switzerland
Rob got very excited and happy at the end...it makes me happy
I'm so glad I found this channel! I'm a cleetus fan and I'm subbed to most the car youtubers and I've seen and heard about you from them but never took the time to look up your channel. It's hard giving more time to CZcams but I'm glad my curiosity got me here. I love the build and I'm currently watching the past episodes.
Love the vids, you'RE not alone Rob. 👌👍
Love it dude keep it up! Has to be the biggest build of 2019!
Good lord I love this build so hard! Thanks Rob, and best of luck
I look forward to these videos. Makes me want to work on my project car.
Keep it up bro. Your content is genuine and I’ve honestly learned so much from watching you work. Thanks Brother
Keep the daily videos coming these are what I watch when I get off work and get excited about! This is so dope and I’m crazy excited for you and to hear this thing run. Can’t wait for the first videos of it being tuned
Nice work rob, the build is coming along nicely 👌
I am no where near the level required to do what you're doing dude, but I find utterly fascinating and I love that you're doing daily videos! Keep up the good work!
Great content Rob cant wait to see it running
ROB! Don’t listen to those idiots we love these videos!! I’m up at 6am (New Zealand) watching this before I go to work just because these videos are so good, I love what you’re doing. You’re doing an amazing job please keep the videos coming 😊
