Been going around and looking at different videos of RPG Maker VX Ace and this was a really cool video. Nice side battle script as well. Great little animations of the summons too.

Yes, it was. The reason the battles look different is due to custom scripts that allow you to place the sprites in a side-view battle. Since the English release is fairly new it'll take time before existing scripts in the other version are re-purposed for this client as some of them are in different languages.

its all about sick bass grooves in battle songs xD
After a little while it becomes easier. But it still requires a bit more time than simply going into map properties and throwing monsters in. I find it to be worth it, unless of course your game is not focused on the action aspect of it, then just your basic battle system will work for you.

Im thinking of getting this software to make my own rpg, but I've seen battle sequences that aren't even animated, and frankly it was horrible. But your battles are pretty and animated! How did you do this? Is it a simple option in the software? Or did you make the drawings and program it yourself?

Also, Remember that most of the Scripts are meant for the Default Battle System so you will have very few scripts working with Side Battle systems.
I haven't figured out how to use a Side Battle System on VX Ace but I can teach you how to use them on RPG Maker VX though.
I am pretty proud than people actually use my system even if it's buggy and it didn't recieve any updates just because I am a bit lazy...
You got some nice scripts there :P The enemies seem a little too weak though and the mapping looks OK.
Really amazing job. Must have taken hundreds of hours to build that game.

I used Ramiro's extra collapse script and it works for the command collapse effect: twist but when I do for collapse effect: sand all it does is just moves but doesn't decetegrate the enemy. Am I doing something wrong?
Mhhh, im only interested in the "Guardian Spirit" script, but it could work with a simple plain Lateral battle script for Vx Ace? or i really need all the other scripts?

Well thank you, I'm progressing now. But I can't seem to find side view-battle enemy sprites. I'm using the default battlers, but I'm, more concerned about finding enemy sprites that fit into a sideview battle system. I men that instead of them looking "Against the screen" The must look to the side. I've managed to get some scripts to work together now, I'm only working with the battle enemies and battle display now.
Is there a way to get the Battle window with the Faces without downloading the side view battle system?

why many people use sideview scripts to change their battle system:3

Well, if you would please, basic information about making your own sprites. And other things, like I've tried about 3-4 different script engines that make the battle system put the battlers on the side, like Final Fantasy. But every one of them has failed in a way. ( Either "script fail message" or things in the game that don't work as they should. I'm getting really irritated, because I'm not good with scripting at all, and I have a project with a good story so far. Please help me. :))

Oh I see, I know what you mean, It was hard for me too find them too. The best thing you can do is look for "Video Game sprites" in Google, You find small ones that fit the side view system. Alternatively, You can also search for Maple Story sprites, They would fit the side view system since they are small and appear perfect.

Its not a Script,they are animations,you can find them in the webpage The Sprite Resource and then look for Disgaea 4,sorry for my bad english,im spanish,i hope i helped you
