Great choice with the HP Fruity, very saucy young lady 😉♥️
Hi you two:)
We’ve all heard & possibly tried Single Malt Scotch whisky, Very nice it is too, BUT, did you know there is an English Whisky produced in Devon? As you know with the Scotch you can taste & smell the peat of the highlands, well I swear you can taste the Granite of the Moors in Devon. Just saying:)
If and when you go to wales, go find some Lava bread..my poor South African wife phoned me up froma,Swansea bakery wanting to.get me some lava bread.
You need to go.to a fish mongers Emmy I replied.
She found it.
As for Haggis delicious.
Do u have a PO box to send stuff to?
Tea aisle seem impressive but what with the Creepy Sherword Forest theme.
Less than 2 minutes into this video, I just have to comment how green and spacious your neighbourhood looks! ❤
The prices are a lot dearer their I can get most of the biscuits for 60 pence or less in my local LIDL's,
yeah i was just thinking the same thing looks lovley xx
I watched a vid recently and brown sauce was seven quid in USA I couldn't believe it, I get mine from poundland😆
looks beautiful
I recall when Wagon Wheels were like actual wagon wheels Now they are wrist-watch cogs.😅
I bought a pack of six jam ones yesterday for the first time in some time, ate the lot and still didn't feel sick . I swear they are a 3rd the size they used to be, robbing🤬
I used to buy them in the early 70's from the school tuck shop. 2 new pence each.
And I used to like Club 'fruit' or 'coffee' versions.
In fact I liked most chocolate bars that came with coffee flavour versions but you hardly ever get anything other than limited runs of Kit Kats that seem exclusive to Milton Keynes.
@@pem... They are definitely smaller and less jam in them. I remember then being much bigger
When over in the USA we never buy any British products from the supermarkets because the prices are just ridiculously expensive in comparison to back home. The prices are at least double if not triple the price back in the UK.
Haha true 🌹🇬🇧🌹
You can’t beat a Curly Wurly 😂😂
Yes you can, two curly wurlys 😂
Better after being in the freezer
Well, you can but it just turns into a horrible gooey mess LOL!
Battered and deep fried. Munch
Try saying a Curly Wurly in a Scottish accent, everyone takes the pee out of me with that one along with Twril 😂
The dry powder Colmans mustard is worth having in the spice cupboard. Mix with flour to coat a beef roast, put in any cheese dish to multiply the favour and mix with vinegar or water to make fresh (strong) mustard.
Be warned it's hot. Hotter than most commercially made but yeah I love it hotter than Djion!
@@martinsigsworth8286 Don't be a wuss! Try Gunpowder Mustard!
Also use a little bit in making a salad dressing.
@Fallopia5150 if I see it I will - I love the arson fire hot stuff LOL I ain't no wuss
LOL .... Ugh! English mustard used in any way, makes me heave! Eeiiiuuww! lol
That shop is like a theme park 😍
correct not run of the mill brit shite
You ladies certainly live in a beautiful part of the world! ❤🇬🇧🏴
Thank you 😊
Them exact mushy peas used be 3 tins for £1 . They are usually about 60p now, 3 pack for 1.50 . That's the good brand too. I've often seen "fake" British food in the US stores, which are made only for export and youd never see in the UK.
That extra mature cheddar, perfect! nice in a sandwich with a thin layer of marmite, cheese and marmite go together so well!
Lettuce and marmite sandwiches are great too.
Extra Mature cheddar and Branson Pickle sandwich! 😍
😂❤, it's bloody great to have you lovely ladies back,,,missed you ❤, take care Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧
Love getting to taste and see all the different foods available. We ❤ going here.
I thought to myself watching this at the beginning, "Wow, they live in a nice place." Then... Hooters. 🤣🤣🤣
😉
Hartleys Jam was first manufactured in 1871 in Colne the next town to where I grew up in Lancashire . They eventually moved the factory to Liverpool.
That was great! Thanks for the tour ladies, it helped to brighten up my Monday! I always enjoy going shopping with you 😊... I wonder if you would consider doing a tour of some of your other big stores? I'd love to see more.
Branston pickle and cheese toasted sandwiches , YUM Mushy peas with mashed potatoe with roast beef .
Branston beans the best and refried beans
Watching with Mum this morning as she's here looking after me and loves your videos. She was shocked by some of the prices but loved seeing the store and everything they had too. And she loved seeing the houses too, happy Monday to you both 😊
Crumbly Lancashire cheese is lovely
I spotted Fry’s Turkish delight and Fry’s peppermint creames. My absolute favourites.
The music & Robin Hood dialogue is hilarious!..as stereotypes go, that's a corker. (Corker = " a great example")
That mechanical Robin Hood had a worse English accent than Kevin Costner.
Edit: The price of the Trooper Ale and Old Speckled Hen isn't too bad.
Thank you so much for the tour, loved it
Our pleasure!
Tiptree boy here! Growing up in the 70s in the jam capital of the world! You could smell what they were making. However only one posh shop in the village sold Wilkins jam, Mr Kettleys. Wasn't in our two mainstream supermarkets.
We used to bike to the factory in the summer holidays and see if they needed any help.
Still make my own jam, it's in the blood.
Can't beat tiptree jam I live in Essex 😊
Tiptree ketchup is also the best one available. It's so much more flavourful than Heinz
Seems to be a few of us locals about :D
@@Seedated42 yep
I love the tiptree jams but I only ever see them in hotels and B&Bs. They are never in the shops around here.
As I said in a past chat ,I just love some of the buildings in your neighbourhood on the way to the store. I would love if you explored your city for us in a vlog .Greetings ladies from Australia .
Thanks! We do our city videos exclusively for Patreon
That suburb in the beginning with those houses, looked amazing.
That's our suburb, glad you like it!
Living in Spain I can identify with looking for UK products abroad. There is always a mark up on price also. Not as much as the USA though. I do love Colman's mustard, Bovril is much better than marmite! Since Brexit British goods are not so available now. Spain produces a lot of their own cheese, not a patch on British cheese.
Up here in Latvia, I can get good British cheese (in the Nordic equivalent of the M&S store), Snowdonia Cheese company stuff, for example. But it's €5.50 a packet upwards...
The overseas supermarket in the Alicante region has a selection of British products, but they have to get their goods via the republic of Ireland! It's a shame they don't have Tesco throughout Europe!
I always said Greggs missed a trick in Benidorm! Lol @@peterdubois4983
@@peterdubois4983I thought they did .maybe it was woolworths I went to in Germany
in the UK we sometimes get a pub importing real ale beer from the US and the mark up is huge
The cheese interaction was wholesome ❤😊
Mushy Pees and a Gravy/Roast Dinner 😋
Mushy Peas, please
Mushy peas from the chippy, with and chips.
That was fun,, love a trip to jungle Jim's. You could spend a day just wondering around and then spend a fortune at the till. The price of chocolate and sweets isn't too bad but essential are abit pricey. Great video girlies once again. Thank you for magic Monday ❤❤
I don't like to be confused so I would wander around. :)
I know, $15 for Marmite. I would have to pay it though. Can not live without Marmite.
Do you have a yard? Buy some marrowfat pea seeds and grow your own mushy peas, it's what I do and they're delicious as well as super cheap! Debbie has great taste, Curly Wurly's are elite level! The mark up is eye-watering, I just got that exact 12 pack of Walkers crisps from Tesco for £3, but imported goods are always expensive wherever you live, I'd strongly advise you try the Fox's triple as they're excellent!!!! Love the Sherwood Forest theme and Robin Hood, keeping it classy!!! 😁
THe Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood theming reminds me of Trowell Services outside of Nottingham on the M1 when it first opened and was run by Mecca.
The theme music playing in the background whilst Robin Hood is talking sounds exactly like what used to play about 15 years ago when you walked through the visitors centre at Sherwood Forest.
Huge price hugs to you both enjoyed so much ❤❤❤
Love seeing what you have in this amazing shop
Glad you liked it!
You can cook mushy peas for a lot less than that. Are dried marrowfat peas available in the US? If so, just soak a load of those overnight, after adding a heaped dessertspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda.
In the morning, drain and rinse them thoroughly, then boil them slowly until 'the mushiness' takes over, add salt to taste and serve.
Try serving them with malt vinegar - they'll be delicious. As a child if we'd had mushy peas with our lunch, I'd have a mugful of what was left over for my supper, totally drowned in malt vinegar - Mmmm lovely!
Wonderful.
i see a packet of dried marrowfat peas on the way...
That Robin and his fake accent. 😂😂 I'm glad this stuff is available.
Great video as always , i remember a previous video , i think it was the couple having a January late Xmas dinner , that you hadnt tried roast parsnips , they are to die for , sweet and crispy and so tasty 🤣🤣 xx
Wow the prices are crazy high mushy peas can in the UK less than a pound x
Yeah, not fair for us! But at least we can get it!
Galaxy Caramel is my favourite, but still love 70% posh dark chocolate too.
Why the hell would you want to come over here when it looks like you live in the most stunning area I’ve ever seen? The start of your journey looks like the type of place you only see in the movies.
Haha. Well that's sweet but like anywhere you've lived your whole life, you get used to it. There's so much more in the World!
When it comes to opening a bottle of (Newcastle) brown (ale), there is a trick to it...
Top teeth go on the top of the bottle cap, and bottom teeth go under the lip, then pull the bottle.
If you do it right, its easy. if you get it wrong, you can smash your teeth.
Or use a bottle opener...
Yes I know stores in the US are huge….. but it’s only when you see them in videos like this does it really hit home. Damn, that’s a big store! Wow.
Hi Natasha and Debbie from Northern Ireland. I know it may be confusing but it's actually, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Northern Irish people are part of the United Kingdom and live under it's laws, Southern Ireland is a stand alone country even though we share an island, hence the reason for the Northern Ireland portion of foods included with the U.K. produce - Hope that helps!
Looking forward to watching the video.
If you like mushy peas, I would recommend looking out for the dried marrowfat peas. All that you need to add to them is water, a pinch of salt and some bicarbonate of soda.
I loved this so much! I just wish the prices were cheaper so more people could enjoy them! Thanks for the amazing video especially from George and Tim that was lovely that part! Glad Debbie got her Curly Wurlys I've actually never tried those so will have to give them a try!
What a brilliant shop! It's a day out to an amusement park rather than a shopping trip. We have nothing like that in UK!
So in The Netherlands we also don't have this kind of store. :(
The fact the sausages had ‘bangers’ actually written on the label made me laugh! You’d never see that over here. Although, we do sometimes refer to sausages as ‘bangers’, it will never actually be written on a packet of sausages! To be honest, I’ve only ever heard them called ‘bangers’ if they’re with mash - ‘bangers and mash’ . Any other time they’re just sausages. We really don’t call them ‘bangers’ as much as people think we do!
Love your recrtions and videos and seeing different foods
I’m 204 Days clean but was on a minimum of 5 Bottles of wine a day in 2022.. I could only afford the German stuff. I’m surprised on your low ish prices 👀
Congrats 👏🏻 Natasha will be 20 Years sober on December 1st!! Keep it up!
🎉 good work stay strong. Big hugs even though you have arsenal in your profile name. 🤣❤️
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow Thank you! Well done Natasha. I’ve had the toughest year of my life (I hate saying that when I think of the suffering in Gaza) but I’ve stayed clean & now I know I can ‘Do’ life Sober whatever it throws at me ❤️
Always fun to follow you to Jungle Jim´s. Think even I could enjoy that store, even though it´s shopping involved.
Thanks for watching!
The price of the Marmite sounds surprisingly reasonable. For most households that would be $5.99 for three months supply, $10.99 for a years supply, $15.99 for a lifetime supply! 😉
Slightly "understated" shopping experience.
Great looking neighbourhood
Thanks!
Not surprised the prices were higher than normal but the items for sale looked totally legit and if your missing a taste of home.. worth every penny!
Should be fun to see! I have seen other prices on other peoples videos and some things are insane. £1 stuff for like $7 etc. Its usually always the same sorta USA stuff I see in the different UK supermarkets, and 70% of it is various chocolates and sweets. I dont find the prices THAT crazy either, compared to the British food in the US prices. Most expensive is often cereals, most are anywhere from £4-£6 a box.
i want to live in that neighbourhood !!! very nice houses
a fun episode really enjoyed it thank you
Thank you so much waited this video since you told us on the live about this video. Love you girls lots xx
oh your town looks beautiful, love the old church at the begining.
Really enjoyed this ladies, thankyou for showing us. You have lots of our brands and recognized all of it. Very expensive maybe thats to do with import charges from the UK
Raisin & Biscuit Yorkie was the highlight! If you like Fruit'n'Nut, then you'll probably enjoy that.
Do they do Gentleman's Relish? A spiced anchovy paste, usually spread thinly on hot buttered toast. Also an ingredient in the wonderfully named Scotch Woodcock.
Little Scarlet is the closest thing I've found to my Nan's strawberry jam (1970s/80s). Even in the UK, it's £4.60!
The quince jelly, to the right of it, is worth trying. Nice on buttered crumpets or (English) muffins. Also good with Cheddar cheese.
Yorkshire Brack (if they have it) is a fruitcake made with tea. Nice with a slice of Wensleydale cheese and a cup of tea (with milk 😉) .
Red Leicester is (IMHO) the best cheese for a cheese toastie (with thinly-sliced tomato, so the inside is like lava!).
Getting really good fish and chips is difficult in the UK, so I wouldn't hold out much hope in Ohio...
Thank you for the video, N&D.✌
Tizer soda is a classic British soft drink and not sold in that many shops today. Once was very popular in 60s 70s.
Amazing! Love these two patriotic girls.
Wow nice looking place love the house hi from Ireland
Hello 😊
The ressson why you have Irish stuff is where so close beside each other we have all the UK food here in Ireland my respite will be taking me to the north of Ireland today. Everybody in 2 hours driving distance shops up north because it's much cheaper. And today I will be in my wheelchair so I get to visit all the stores I love it. 24 bottles of water for 4 pound. And all the goodies is so much cheaper and yes we also have marmite some love some hate. But you Reilly do only put a tiny bit on toast. I Been watching the show for a long time yorkshair tea is the best. I love the show. 😊
@olliestevenson8068 Thanks so much!! Happy you get to visit your stores today, enjoy!!
Brilliant video this morning I had so much fun
Love ya both ❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️
Wow your town is beautiful, like something out the movies, those gorgeous houses and all the greenery, stunning !!!
That's a really great selection I'm seeing though, place looks cool. I'd love looking around the place
Loving jungle jim,s and seeing some of my fav,s
Stunning neighbourhood ❤🏴
The Picnic bars are amazing.
I saw White Pudding near the black pudding!....slice, smear with butter,grill....add a splash of malt vinegar....eat with a fried breakfast of bacon, fried eggs, beans on toast!
What a wonderfully informative video - thank you so much for doing it.
Thank you for watching!
Tiptree is sooo good. Little Scarlett is the most expensive variety of strawberry in the world. Tiptree own the variety. It's about £5 a jar. I actually have a video up showing around the Tiptree factory and how they make jam and a bit on its history. Its about 10 minutes
"Made In Britain - How Tiptree Jam is made"
Little Scarlett is the best.
That shop is insanely massive love how random the Jungle theam is. Love your excursions videos and seeing the neighbourhoods. Great video 😊 long live Cheddar Cheese the best Cheese in the world 🌎 brought tears to my eyes😂
I live a couple of miles from the Walker's factory in Leicester, UK, and I wouldn't dream of buying any of their crisps or other snacks. They are such low-quality food!
That was absolutely fascinating. Thanks. The prices were generally really high, of course.
I love a Jungle Jim’s shopping trip . So interesting to see what they have and how much things cost , plus we get to see a little of your home town on the way . Looked like you had a beautiful day for you trip I enjoyed the music in this episode as well ❤
Thanks so much Mandy!
In Northern Ireland we call a Batch loaf a Plain loaf... Makes amazing toast (hint: make sure your grill is preheated to avoid rock hard toast) especially when you use copious amounts of butter and some marmalade. One of the things I miss most living in England.
LOL, I was born in Nottingham & have visited the 'Royal Oak' a few times, but never heard THAT accent before 😂😂Yeah, here in the U.K. we've been hit hard by the latest price rises for sure! as well as manufactures shrinking the size of products, which nobody seems to notice or mind it seems... some of those prices aren't too bad to be honest!
Great channel, keep it up 👏🤙🖖✌🤘👌👍🍻
Cadbury fingers, bite a small piece off each end, use as a draw to suck up coffee or tea then eat em, yum!
Hey ladies. Those exact mushy peas from Morrisons grocery store were 75p (about 95 cents) over the weekend. Had them with bangers and mash with a little gravy.
Soak dried Marrowfat peas overnight in bicarb , rinse and boil till mushy , you may need to add a colouring called pea green to achieve the traditional colour . Way cheaper than buying mushy peas in a tin .
Really loved the journey over to the store, the houses and gardens are so big! And the store made me laugh it looked like some kind of attraction
What a fun video, fantastic little tour! 🥰
Ladies, Black Pudding is worth a Purchase. Olive Oil & Fry in a Pan in 1.5cm Slices. Then onto a Bread Roll - Pepper & touch Sea Salt.
Ideal with a good Brown Sauce - a must for such.
Regards from an old Roman Town in West Central Scotland.
Looking forward to this - I even got up 2 hours early . . .
It'll be toast & Marmite time at 7:30 🥸
👋🏻
You should try the Colliers Vintage Mature Chedder (black packet) that was on the top shelf when you were talking to George, it's really good
I remember when the marketing for Yorkie bars was a little inappropriate. It was about a big tough chocolate bar for big tough trucker types. The packet had the tag line “Not for girls”.
While yes you are paying import costs, you are stil getting way overcharged. Prime example, first item you showed. Walkers 12 pack, for $9.99 That works out at £7.88 roughly. A walkers 12 pack over here is £3 in asda. I cant see the import cost being more than the price of the item. Which suggests you are still being overcharged by quite a bit.
Hi Girls, glad to see you back. Looks like a great place to shop and sit and enjoy the surroundings. Hope you get what you want.
The prices legit outraged me lol. I've got a box of Cadbury fingers being delivered in my shopping order later - £1.25 on offer instead of 1.75, I literally gasped when I saw how much they are there 😅
It works the same way, cheap food imported from the states costs loads in the uk just try a food box with imported goods
Jam Tarts, lovely.
Tiptree 'seedless raspberry jam' ..... I use it when I make a Victoria Sponge .... nothing compares!
Great video. It's always fun to look into jungle jim's.
They have so many good things from all countries.😊🫶🏻
We agree!
Bounty is a coconut-filled, chocolate-enrobed candy bar manufactured by Mars, Incorporated, introduced in 1951 in the United Kingdom and Canada. It is a direct emulation of the Mounds bar introduced by Peter Paul in 1936, and also copies the milk chocolate enrobing of Hershey's Almond Joy, introduced in 1948. It is no longer domestically sold within the United States, However...the ingredients are not the same as in the UK. It was Hershey's who Bribed Politicians to Ban all British Sweets/Candies and Foods from being sold in America. Ours was much cleaner and better. Whenever you see anything Cadbury in America always check the back of the wrapping. If it say's Hershey's it's not real Cadbury.
Wow, that store is amazing!
I love your Jungle Jim Store . It looks fantastic. Could spend a whole day there . Wish we had a place like that in Swansea, South Wales. Great having you back again. Missed you both. ❤
I love the different cheeses from the U.K. They've started to appear here in supermarkets in Australia over the past couple of decades. My favourite is Snowdonia Black Bomber. Smooth texture, very cheesy flavour with a sharp finish. What's not to love. My favourite tea is Yorkshire Proper Strong. And I have it hot, without milk or sugar.
Those board-fronted houses with the verandahs feel like something out of a film.
Enjoyed looking at the scenery on the way to the store. Seriously love that shop. It is massive. I could spend all day in there. It has more variety of things than my local supermarket. In fact some of the UK brands I didn't even recognise. Thank you for sharing.
Cadbury are also celebrating their 200th Anniversary this year!
See? I knew Debbie had immense taste! Curly Wurlys are great. Never mind them being a very specifically aimed at kids thing. I'm in the 50s and still love em.
And yeah those prices are expensive sure but if you look at them as treats then it's not so bad. Just a shame that you have to look at them that way. (I'm in the same boat in Australia but being from the UK and finding UK snacks here)
That Haggis is a pretty decent one, worth a try if you've not before. Its a shame the prices are so inflated, its the same for us though my 7year old likes the American candy but it costs a small fortune.
