I'm from a neighboring state to Louisiana and I'm jumping on this wagon late. Thank you so much for the life skills you're teaching us cause as a millenial sh* we don't get this hardly anymore if we didn't learn it as kids and the younger generations, a lot of this stuff has been lost. My late uncle lost a thumb alligator hunting. Pulling in the rope and it got wrapped around his thumb and the alligator dove. Popped it right off.

Get yourself a Tormek sharpener. You can sharpen any edge to a hollow-ground scalpel edge. Anything with an edge. You can sharpen butcher knives, kitchen knives, single edge razors, scissors, axe/hatchet, wood chisels, drill bits, jointer knives, planer knives, turning tools, and plane irons. Maybe more. Scary sharp edges.
