she was a smoker, she gave up a couple of years ago she did an interview in the Daily Mail about it and how it had effected her voice.

Really nice song and Lisa does have a unique voice that is like no other. Plus she can still sing far better than many of the artists with hits in the chart at the moment. However, this song was uncomfortable to listen to in places with a few duff notes here and there. In my opinion this performance isn't even remotely close to the one that she did for the Brit awards live back in 1992.

This was not good. I prefer how she sang this live in the 90's. Her voice sounds different. Hopefully she will quite smoking because it has damaged some of her vocals.
