Did this modification right after I drove my 2017 home from the dealership w/216 miles on the OD - This should be your first mod to your 68RFE if you plan on keeping her for many yrs!
We need tuning/weight reduction for 22 cummins! Will definitely be doing this mod for my 22.
Very well explained, thanks for your effort.
We appreciate it sir !
Did mine on the 2017 last week. Best bang for buck mod you can do for longevity sake!
Amen sir Amen !!
Thanks for the info ive been saying for a long time that dodges transmissions allways run to warm cant wait to purchase this and see if it helps my truck
We appreciate it sir !!
Honestly the 68rfe is a bad ass trans, IV beat mine to hell and back on a built truck towing a trailer. Towing in 6th at 70mph no prob, the only time IV had issues is with heat towing max effort load up a slow gravel road. This combined with the rear trans cooler relocate helped that problem a ton. The only time IV shit the guts out of my trans was doing 4 wheel launches at 20 psi when I was tuning my staging limiter tune. It was going so well till she shifted to 3rd and well, the sound we haunt our memories for ever. Sounded like two skeletons fucking in the closet.
Yea man I have 230,000km and haul trailers daily for work.
Never had issue but it’s getting time. Ganna throw this bypass in and hopefully latest even longer. She’s a beast and it’s 2015 2500 6.7 bought new in 2015 and it’s deleted and tuned all emissions gone and got 5 tunes with switch. Everything else stock. Always reliable. Never left me hanging.
What size orings for the inside of the bypass?
Do 2011 68rfe models not have this?
Looking to get some insight into maintaining the correct transmission fluid level after installing a thermal bypass valve. With it installed the transmission never gets close to the 180 degree mark to have an accurate measure of the fluid when hot. It generally runs 140-145 max, occasionally getting to 160-165 in more extreme cases.
Hey sir is this with our product installed?
@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE it's with the revmax thermal bypass.
@michaelcsavercool703 Roger sir no worries we don’t want to speak on their behalf, they have a good tech team id send a email and see what they suggest.
@@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE thank you.
Are they making them yet for a 2016 ford f 250 diesel thanks buddy
No sir !
Do the 2019 and up trucks have this same issue? Y'all make a bypass for the 5th gen trucks?
We do sir they are on the website at pointblankperformance.com in stock !
What does this do
Don’t it already have one from the factory in the same spot?
Yes !
Now start making one for the '19s and newer. Revmax's version sucks. They spaced the input sides holes further apart than the OEM thermostat and you have to bend the ridged lines in order to screw in the tapered fittings. Mine leaked and took a lot of tinkering to make acceptable. I'm not satisfied and looking for a better replacement. If you do end up making one... mirror the OEM dimensions exactly and you'll have a winner and a customer!
If you jump on the website pointblankperformance.com we have the 19+ plus on the site ! Video will be released as well soon!
@@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE I just watched your newest video on the 5th gen version. I'm gonna head to your website right now and check it out! Thank you!
@@4wdiesels We appreciate that sir and thank you !!
Will this work for the 65RFE transmission?
68RFe yes sir!
@@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE trying to see if this could fit my gas 1500 65rfe trans I’ve been searching but found nothing for this truck I don’t know if this is just a diesel thing?
@Javier-uu6em we personally don’t know sir! I don’t want to burn any of your money on a guess on my end!
I have a 2022
Willits void my warranty
Anything not oem I’m sure would sir !
@@POINTBLANKPERFORMANCE- Not necessarily true! With my wife's 2018 Ram 2500 Crewcab 4wd 6.7L. I replaced the factory transmission oil pan with a PPE aluminum pan, filter, and steel filter adapter. Later the truck had issues. Kept getting P20EE code. After 4 trips to the dealer, that the PCM was reflashed, new SCR, new NOX sensor, and DEF fluid changed out. The code came back. I replaced the main battery with a Walmart AGM battery. The truck has not had the code come back. My upgrades have not affected warranty or recall work. Just like the 1974 Magnusson-Moss Act specifies.
The video was great but your website needs help. All it has is contact info no product info as I was looking into and research solutions.
