    I purchased turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax early last year . I have used it on 3 different vehicles. Used by different owners .. each car is cleaned differently by its owner. Car wash … hand wash …hardly ever washed.
    When I see the cars, the paint work still is amazing. One has done 20,000 miles ,, the others about 7,000 .
    The clue here is preparing the paint work,, wash ,, clay bar ,, polish ,, panel wipes then apply the wax.
    Turtle wax has produced a great product. That I would use again.

It wasn’t until I found 845 that won my over due to the insane durability and clarity. Ironically, I refuse to ceramic coat my daily because I love the finish of 845 lol.

    Love the vid. Thank you for your testing. In other videos I’ve watched about Butter Wet Wax, as well as my own experience, I’ve seen it’s not meant to last long, but just have great shine immediately after application, but no longevity or durability. I only apply it to my show car right before a car show

      I waxed my car after claying it last weekend with that wax and it really was worth it. Also bought the same car soap just to help keep up with how well it works, but in these testing I guess it didn't really matter as it stood up really good. Wiping it off after it hazed up wasn't difficult either. Just a little work like a normal paste wax always is. Though it is easier than the older stuff from say 15 to 20 years ago.

    I use the Mothers every once in a while. Kind of fun to take a break from using sealants all the time and it is still reasonably effective so it does not feel like you are wasting time as you are still actually putting down an acceptable level of protection.
    Some things I noticed about this wax:
    -I find it difficult to do the swipe test with compared to some other waxes as it usually just smears even after fully drying this makes it a bit tricky to time right
    - it gets pretty grippy even if you use just a little too much.
    -Overall I still find it fun to use, sometimes I even apply it to just the bonnet for fun
    I also have the can form of Gold Class. Haven't really used it all that much yet but I do know it does the swipe test better than the Mothers which is pretty satisfying to me.

    I couldn't agree more about the turtle wax. The difficulty in application casued me to over apply, and that made the removal a nightmare. Not that it was really hard to remove, it did come off cleanly, but it was so grippy I was really feeling it in my shoulders by the time I finished. I'm getting good durability, but will use something else next time for sure. I don't care how long it lasts, I'd rather apply an enjoyable wax once a month than than the tw once a year. Honestly I think tw super hard shell is easier to apply, and that's saying something.

    Would agree with regards to your conclusions about the Butter Wet Wax. Tried it on my truck last summer and it was completely underwhelming. Didn't even last one week between washes, was completely gone. Surprisingly was a dry week with no rain. I do like their VRP, nice water based dressing for my tires. Also don't mind a couple of interior products. They are a hot mess of confusion and uselessness when it comes to paint protection products though.

VERY easy to apply and buff. Many pro detailers suggest using it as a topper for the TW Graphene Paste Wax. Think I'll try using it as a topper going forward! Sandro, if I may share some experience with the Turtle Wax Graphene Ceramic Paste...
    With the application I find that [for me] with any hard paste I rub the wax with a couple of fingers to "warm" it up to make it a little maliable then take a lightly dampened microfiber applicator to the wax then apply thinly in traditional circular technique.
    As with ALL of the modern Turtle Wax sealants and waxes I use an initial wipe off [suggested in many of their directions) with a dampened short pile microfiber followed with a fluffy buffy. Again, for me it is a technique that works consistently. I have found as with you that the TW Ceramic-Graphene Paste has benefits with the curing time [up to 72 hours) as it definitely gets more slick and seems to enhance the jetting effects - as well, there are [claimed] 10 real waxes in this blend which in my opinion gives that Carnuba style warm glow. And, as you found has excellent hydrophobics and may I add very good chemical and UV resistance. To summarize, although a bit finicky there is a small learning curve to maximize the ease of use and benefits with this wax. Without too much fuss - once there - the results have been very satisfying. I always enjoy your vids and approach. Shine on you crazy diamond!

      To my knowledge, using a well wrung out "damp" quality short-knap microfiber cloth for initial removal has no effect on durability. A suggestion/recommendation is to apply very sparingly. It can be easy to over apply, which makes for more challenging removal. Good luck, shine on you crazy diamond!

    I have the same meguair, turtle wax and adams butter wax and i can say j have the same results. Butter wax goes on easy but doesn't last more than two washes. Turtle wax is good, last about 7-9 washes or about 3 months, same as the meguairs. Meguairs hide swirls better than turtle wax.

    Thanks Sandro I took you’re advice and used Scholl W6 topped with NV LUSTRE. I found W6 not very friendly to wipe off actually it was a really bad experience. LUSTRE was an absolute dream to use compared to W6 and probably to easiest I’ve ever used. The gloss and end result left me speechless smiling from ear to ear. If I put NV JET over W6 and LUSTRE will it alter the amazing gloss finish.

    Hey Sandro,
    Based on the video you did about a year ago "Best Car Wax Olympics Showdown", Bowdens Own Beaut Beads being the winner, comparing TurtleWax Ceramic Graphene, what would you rather?
    Also just a quick question... If I wanted to use a wax and a spray sealant, do I layer the wax then the sealant? Or do I spray the sealant then put the wax ontop? - Spray sealant such as Bead maker, Wet coat and Autoglym Polar Seal (if that's even considered a spray sealant).
    Many thanks in advance!!!

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  Před rokem +2

      I think if you’re looking for a “real” car wax, Beaut Beads is just a beautiful car wax in every way - though not cheap!
      TW ceramic/graphene is really more of a sealant in paste wax form, or at least that’s what it felt like to me - but there’s nothing wrong with that.
      Typically you would apply your sealant as your foundation layer and top it from time to time with your wax.

    IMHO, I used to be a die hard fan of Meguiar's (3M) and Mother's products. I started DIY detailing my cars with Chemical Guys 14 years ago. But now I use more progressive sealants and ceramic coatings from Adam's, P&S and others. Turtlewax has come a long way. There are just so many good products out there now. And I don't see the difference (warmth) between a waxed car and a sealed/ceramic coated car.
    You can get much better gloss results than you used to using glazes and waxes. After using them, P21s, Dodo Wax, etc. are just marketing hype to me.

    • @archiepezek
      @archiepezek Před rokem +2

      Agreed. The latest sealants and coatings do such a great job when it comes to gloss, protection and ease of use that I don't have any desire to wax a car any more.

    Wow that Turtle Wax really turned around from application to performance. Seeing its price, I wonder how it would hold up against other hybrid sealants and sealants. If it can hold its own against them, I'd argue it would be worth the price. Honestly I have the Butter Wet Wax but I've even yet to use it tbh. I rarely use wax as I really don't see a point in them over sealants, but after seeing this I extra don't see a point to using that one. Seems like a product I'd donate for a doorprize at a show or meet but honestly I'd kinda feel a bit bad giving someone else such a lackluster product. Guess it'll be another shelf-warming product that I have but never know what to do with 😂 Maybe I can put it on my Hot Wheels cars or something lol

    • @joeschmoe6908
      @joeschmoe6908 Před rokem +1

      In my experience it's not worth the price considering the miserable experience, and I've tried it. I think I over applied, but I gave it a few tries and it was just not a fun time. Also from long term reviews it's not making it past about 4 months which is only marginally better than something like gold class which imo looks better, is way easier to apply, and is about 1/4 the price. I guess if all you care about is water beading then go for it.
