That's the Micro Light. The Micro Original has a Trangia alcohol stove. Just got a Micro Light but use hexamine here in Australia. Thank you for sharing 👍
@@unclepeteswildadventures Hi Pete. I replied to your reply but looks like it’s been deleted. I copied and pasted a link to the disposable lighters I use so perhaps I broke some CZcams rules 🤔 I use Torjet Windproof Jet Flame Lighters. Cheap and disposable and so far very effective even in very cold temps. I was on the North Yorkshire moors on Sunday night and it was around -7. Never missed a beat. All the best ⛺️
@@belowaveragewildcamper thanks Steve. The stove was fine it was the butane lighter that failed due to cold. It was my first time out in the wild with the micro. I love its simplicity. I should gave keep my lighter in a warm pocket. Still that’s why I chose a fine day and not a camp to test. You should do a vid about how you light your stove and what you use to do it. Hopefully someone will do a nice bespoke wrap around windshield for the micro. Atb waiting for your next.
I wasn’t an accurate test. I’m still learning how much gel to use. I’ll do a field test this week. As I mentioned if you are camping on a mountain in winter you have 14? plus hours to kill. I’m sure I’ll try an alcohol stove at some point. Thanks for viewing.
Thank you for an honest review. I've been looking at Trangia mini's for a while and no body else said the wind shield wasn't great@@unclepeteswildadventures
@@vinniesdayoff3968 I suppose if you had the mini pot rather than the micro one it wouldn’t matter as much if the flame blew around a bit. Below average wild camper on CZcams does lots of Trangia cooking. He’ll know better about the bigger system.

Have a look at the speedster on my channel. Even better imo. Thanks for commenting
@unclepeteswildadventures I will do that. Not sure who would stock or sell it here in Australia, but you never know. Thanks for the tip.👍
I'll be keeping the Micro in mind, when shopping for kit, because that really is a nice size.
Yes a nice piece of kit. I’ll do a better test in the wild soon. Thanks for watching.
Very nifty Pete 👍
See my latest video. What lighter do you use. The Soto butane would light the Gell. I do like the little Micro. Maybe I should do a BAWC master class?

A little homemade alcohol stove should speed the boil time up
