I kind of skimmed over it, but there's obviously a lot of ways you can pack this setup. I'd honestly say this was the least efficient way of packing things, as if you put things differently inside the M40/M44, you can fit a lot more.
After moving things around a bit, this is my current setup for what's inside the mess kit:
    1. Smaller, titanium cup with silicone insert - this replaces the larger French canteen. I found it was a bit redundant together with the large pot from the mess kit, so I preferred a smaller cup in order to free up more space while still allowing you to brew and drink coffee easily.
I also keep several items inside the titanium cup:
---- 1a. small, wooden dish brush head for cleaning dishes.
---- 1b. Small container of instant coffee, around 10 or so servings.
---- 1c. Small container of salt and pepper, maybe 2-3 servings depending on taste preference.
On top of the cup, I keep the burner (but plan on keeping it in a sealed bag to prevent leakage again).
    2. Titanium folding spork
    3. Small multi-tool (serves to lift the windscreen, taking the simmering ring on / off, folding the legs on the windscreen down when hot etc.).
    3. Alcohol fuel bottle
    4. Firestarting kit
    5. Small lighter wrapped in duct tape
    6. Fruit bar
    7. Tissues
    8. Dental floss
This still leaves a lot of room available, and leaves the entire front pouch on the M36 bag empty, which provides quite a bit of extra storage capacity.

Here in Australia, I have an M44. "Pathfinder" have a pricey shoulder bag for their canteen cook sets. The M44 fits it ok. I too have had my Trangia burner leak & taint the pot in my Trangia 27. The M44 is very good & can hold a lot of gear. I have the Wildo Kasa Army Cup. I like it a lot. Thank you for sharing 👍

@@Magoo652 I have actually looked at the pathfinder stuff and it seems really solid! I might give the shoulder bag a try, their canteen set seems great too.
Thanks a lot for the recommendation!

@DextersLab93 I have a great supplier here in Australia, I asked if he knew which bag it would fit into. He went to check & got back to me a few hours later. I ordered it. Glad to help.👍
