- In a previous video, I made bread using King Arthur GF Pizza flour. The taste was a little off and I think the flour can’t tolerate overnight fermentation. A few viewers commented that KA makes a separate GF bread flour. I tested it out and I’m very surprised with the results. This is not a sponsored video.

I've been buying their flour for awhile now. Tonight i thought i would try my hand at a loaf of bread. I followed the instructions i found online for the flour. I didn't do exactly what they said because I'm not a novice and I knew i didn't need to do it their way. And I'm surprised... really i am.. years ago I tried and I was never fond of the quality of the loaf. But this turned out better than expected.
Hello! Thank you for your comment! I’m the same way. I typically don’t follow the exact instructions. I’m glad your bread turned out well 😊
Loved the video! And you're at 1.5k subscribers too! Your bread and flour reviews are just the best! Have a great week and take care!
Thank you, Angelo! I feel very blessed to have 1.5K subscribers 😊. Thank you for always taking the time to watch and comment on my videos ❤️
Great experiments. I’ve been experimenting with pasta dishes using various ingredients to see what works
Thank you! What pasta dishes have you been making?
@@WeekendInMyKitchen I’ve been experimenting with different variations of non tomato sauce pastas. I like tomato sauce but want to see other alternatives out of curiosity. I came up with Dijon mustard and olive oil and thought it was my original idea. But later found it was already done. Very hard to create something new.
Yes it is, but you can do it!
Great😋😋😋👍👍
Hello! I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!
@@WeekendInMyKitchen we are, thank you, hope you and your family having a great weekend too
Have you used King Arthur GF Bread Flour for making sourdough bread rather than using a yeast starter? I think it would work but I am not certain
No, I haven’t but that would be so awesome! I’m not sure if it will work with all the other ingredients in the flour (corn starch, xanthan gum, etc..)
Thank you for your comment ❤️
Excellent video…again! You cover everything so well! Thanks so much!
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm so glad the video was helpful 😊
Hi thank you for the test. I saw another video of yours testing caputo flour as an artisan bread. So I just got curious about which flour you think tastes better between caputo and king arthur bread flour.
What I mean by "better" is which one is more like a real bread. :)
Thank you!
Hello! Thank you for watching my videos! I think both the Caputo and King Arthur (GF bread flour) tasted pretty close to a real bread. However, Caputo had slightly more flavor. Caputo is harder to find and more expensive in the US. I also had people comment that their bread using the Caputo GF flour came out hard and not as browned. If you're making pizza, I would highly recommend the Caputo flour. If you're a beginner bread baker, then King Arthur might be a better choice for bread.
I have a friend who has celiac disease and she liked both flours. I hope I didn't confuse you even more 😊
@@WeekendInMyKitchen caputo may become hard so king arthur might be a good choice for beginners but caputo has more flavor so if I can make it well enough, i better try caputo even though it is still expensive. Nonetheless, both are almost very close to a real bread. Got it!! Huge thanks!!
Concerned about KA flour having wheat and pea protein in the bread and pizza flours.
Hello! It’s probably best to consult with your physician because people might be intolerant to the actual wheat rather than the gluten in the wheat. I hope that helps! 😊
What size dutch oven did you use for the bread? How many quarts was it?
Hello! I used the Emile Henry Bread/Potato Cooker and it has a 2 quart capacity amzn.to/3XusVOb
I hope that helps!
@@WeekendInMyKitchen Thank u!☺️
What are your thoughts on the KA GF Bread Flour (not pizza) vs. the Caputo GF Flour bread for Artisan breads, now that you can compare the two? I am activating a GF Sourdough Bread and expect to be able to bake next week. I have both flours.
I think the Caputo had more flavor and slightly better texture. I’m so curious about your GF sourdough bread 🤗
