Mercedes-Benz GLE accident repair on Celette bench with Universal Fixture system Cameleon

  • This Mercedes GLE 300d had a front accident and had to be placed on Celette frame machine where its front rail and strut tower were replaced. All job was done with the help of Celette's Universal Fixtures System - CAMELEON ( International patent PCT/IB2018/054682 )

    Mich würde mal interessieren, wie es gehandhabt wird, wenn eine Karosserie in sich verwunden ist. Jede Karosserie hat ja eine gewisse Elastizität und wird sich beim aufsetzten auf die vier Punkte der Richtbank zum Teil angleichen. Wäre es nicht sinnvoll, man würde die Karosserie zu erst z.B. vorne links und rechts aufsetzen und hinten nur in der Mitte. So würde sich die Verwindung exakt ermitteln lassen, ohne dass sich die Karosserie durch ihr Eigengewicht z. T. anpasst.

      Es gibt natürlich je nach Unfallschaden verschieden Schadensbilder. Das von Ihnen beschriebene ist sicherlich eines der am schwierigsten zu diagnostizierenden da es schwer ist zu sagen, welcher Teil des Fahrzeuges noch unbeschädigt ist. Grundsätzlich basiert jede Reparaturmethode auf dem Prinzip festzustellen, welches Fahrzeugteil sich wie verformt hat. Bei einem Twist wie von Ihnen beschrieben ist das Fahrzeug in sich verdreht. Dazu müssen Sie ebenfalls eine Ebene ermitteln, die Sie als Ausgang zum späteren Richten benutzen. Wenn Sie das Fahrzeug auf drei Punkten befestigen fehlt Ihnen eine Bezugsebene. Sie können dann jedoch über die unterschiedliche Höhe rechts und links zur Richtbank bestimmen, wie sich das Fahrzeug gedreht hat, jedoch nicht, welcher Teil noch unbeschädigt ist. Wenn das Fahrzeug über mehrere Messpunkte zur Richtbank ausgerichtet wird, ergibt sich ein viel genaueres Bild.

    I don't understand why the chassis is first subjected to all this pulling stress, just to cut off the pulled pieces later.

      As the car is a monoconstruction, the impacted area puts strain on those parts of the body behind the damaged section, The door post may get pushed out of line resulting in a hanging door. A pull is needed to release the strain and align all points ensuring correct fitment of a new section . The jigs used make sure that all points are where they should be.
