    I picked up an 07 108k well maintained tastefully modded (lowered on 20s, bolt ons, dyno tune, 4.10s, mgw, bluetooth pioneer screen etc) for 16500 recently. One of the cheapest clean title gt500s ive seen. The milage is higher than usual but still not bad these motors are tough. Its performance white stripe delete. I just recently picked up some gunmetal f14 drag pack wheels 17x7 front 17x10.5 305/45/17 et streets.
    My car wasnt daily driven it def wasnt driven in bad weather it is too nice underneath it. It has def been well maintained. You can also tell by the things that was done to the car..if the mods are top notch best of everything that goes a long ways towards telling you how it was taken care of. The miles are higher but not bad at all for a 2007 and you can def tell it was taken care of...interior is clean too. The price def reflects the milage but the loan value at my credit union was 17700 so i got 100% of it on loan with 0 downpayment that just shows you what a deal i got and on top of that shows how well these cars hold value. ALOT of car for the money. I cannot wait to get my drag pack on the car so i can actually hook. Not gonna launch much if any from a dig till i upgrade to a 1 piece ds i just wanna be able to hook from a roll. Car also has an 800 hp twin disc mccloud clutch not sure of i spelled that right lol. All the essential small mods that wake them up are done, 2.6 pulley, cj twin 65 tbody, jlt 123 cold air,offroad hpipe and borla stingers and it has been dyno tuned by pro dyno in sc. Seems to run awesome but i am gonna get it retuned by lund because i want an ngauge plus i am planning more mods in the future and ill need tuning. Lethal sells a tuning package with a lund tune and ngauge along with the wideband and 3 bar boost sensor that is needed on 07-10 gt500s for 1300 total. So it is a little more invested up front for the tune but not too bad considering how much less you pay for the car. Love these cars. I liked mine alot because the few mods it does have is exactly the stuff i would want anyways..like 4.10s, mgw, hpipe and borla stingers (literally my fav setup on these cars) the twin disc etc. Those are the exact parts i would have wanted anyways so it saved me alot of money in that regaurd too. Nice video with good info. Some people think the early models suck because they have less hp stock but theyre just as good considering how much less they can be had for and they really wake up with mods. The 07-09 feels raw as hell too i love it. More refined than new edges but more raw than the newer gt500s. It is a badass car.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před 2 lety

      @@turboleggy absolutely that is worth it ecspecially in today's market people want that for bolt on 5.0s with similar miles lol. Far as mods simple bolt ons can gsin you over 100 rwhp without even trying. Intake exhaust pulley tune etc. Blower swap it and you can make up to 800+ on good fuel and tune stock motor. The 5.4 is a very strong motor it had less power stock than 5.8 mostly because of the smaller blower but once the blower is swapped power is comparable to the 5.8 for alot less money. They can all make 800 on stock motor but the 5.4 seems to hold up better at elevated power levels from what I've seen. If you ain't got that car and still can you need to jump on it. I wanted an 11-12 at first but found an 07 with 108 for 16500 pretty good shape I could not pass that up that is out of this world bang for the buck lol. Scooped me up a new gen3r to go on it for 3499 during black Friday. After I get injectors and boost a pumps it's going on this spring. Should be 750 rwhp range with 2.6 upper and stock lower with a small twin 65 tbody and stock exhaust manifolds on 93/boostane. Should see 20 psi. I'm going to build the motor in few years after the car is paid off and go cams and long tubes at the same time but until then I'm gonna roll with this setup. These cars rock! The 5.4 and 5.8 sound so sexy.

    I think the 2013/14 GT500 is the best Shelby ever made. It has the best rear end of any modern mustang, already has a carbon fiber one piece driveshaft, painted side skirts, nicer and better front end, better suspension mods, it could actually take a track pretty well, better options like the set track pack wheels that look amazing, a 5.8 liter that is great as is..you'd have to throw a lot of money into a 11/12 to get it to be like a 13/14. Just get the 13/14. Best bang of the buck is the 07/09. They are all great.

    Pretty good video with all the common info on these. People tend to steer people away from 07-10 cars due to the lack of widebands. I am glad you pointed out that is not a big deal, because people for some reason feel like that is a big fail. lol
    Sometimes I wish I had knock sensors to push pumpgas more, but I also have friends with knock sensors and they give false knock and always losing races and blaming false knock. So it can go either way.
    The shifting in the TR6060 sucks major dick! First thing i will advise people to do is to dump whatever fluid they have and run Mobil1 ATF. It fixed all the bad low RPM and cold notchiness that this transmission exibits
    The high rpm stuff alot of time has to do with clutch as we all know, but also drivetrain alignment and enginemovement. Get your drivetrain aligned (esp if you have a 1 piece DS) and add a CHE x brace bar up front with stabilizers so the trans cannot dip under load and your problems will be resolved! I added a WOTBox as well to fix this, but never even needed to use it since the other fixes worked

      Good information. I'm curious about aligning the drivetrain. I purchased a salvage / rebuilt 07 GT500. I have pretty severe clutch hopp. The car came with a watts link setup in the rear end. With you mentioning drive train aligning I wonder if the impact might have caused an alignment issue this the hopp issue? I haven't bothered taking the clutch apart since everything works but have to say it's annoying. I usually have to up my RPM's from a standstill to get the car going without the shuttering from the rear end. It's not impossible but isn't normal. Someday I'd like to sell the car and fear that issue will hinder my results..

    • @PMPerformance
      @PMPerformance Před 3 lety

      Carl Mazziotti the watts link wouldn’t cause any of that I don’t think.
      My issues were due to driveshaft and upper control arm causing misalignment.
      They clutch skip it likely due to clutch.
      If it has a 1 piece DS, that is very common as well. Harsher clutch and solid driveshaft makes that worse

    • @carlmazziotti221
      @carlmazziotti221 Před 3 lety

      @@PMPerformance true. Clutch hopp is clutch hopp. Once I blow this clutch up I'll upgrade the clutch, flywheel, and the driveshaft. I'm also dealing with a crazy electrical issue shorting out all power, but only at 4k rpm. Dash, abs, all cycles. I think it's a faulty alternator or perhaps the wiring issue that the charging system had for that year. It was somewhat of a mistake buying a salvage GT500 but it sure is pretty!! Just gremlins that endlessly haunt..,..

    • @PMPerformance
      @PMPerformance Před 3 lety

      Carl Mazziotti If it’s what I think you are referring to, again it’s common with heavier clutches abs drivetrains that have no give essentially.
      Deff check the alternator. They are a common fail point and can size blown motors as well due to lack of voltage for important things like fuel pumps under load.

      If the car is in good condition and in good mechanical condition I would not worry about it. These things are built tough and they're strong as long as you perform routine maintenence on the car and take care of it it really don't matter much if it was ran hard you just gotta maintain it accordingly. They are def ruggedly built cars overall from to back and can withstand some abuse.
