- Naomi reveals the retail store's first investment into the Raging Heroes miniature line, a big box of beautiful female miniatures for roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons or alternative miniatures for casual Warhammer 40,000. She reviews quality, packaging and appearance. Enjoy!

Been working on RH minis for a just a little over a year now and use them mainly for D&D. I'm still amazed by the quality of their sculpts which are lots of fun to paint. Currently working on dark elf crossbow women which would make an excellent drow raiding party. For those who intend to use these minis for D&D and are concerned about the firearms, there is a Fantasy line to the sculpts which swap their firearms for... swords and steel 😃. Great start for your store, Naomi!
Lust Elves make excellent Slaanesh Daemons. Used them to add some variety to my Chaos lists.
i backed these on kickstarter a couple of years ago, bought the jailbirds, and the sisters of the orphanage ranges along with a few others. the models are quite beautifully sculpted, but they are (were) a pain to degrease for assembly / painting. out of over 100 miniatures from the range, i only managed to assemble / paint 10 of them, and a freind tried his hands at some of the jailbirds / kurganovas, and had the same difficulty in assembly and getting the paint to stick.
Resin models have that issue, Purple pond usually does the trick along with a good Airbrush primer. Resin especially new company issues can be a nightmare but they'll eventually get their chemicals down and the problem will solve itself, however a good soak in the Purple stuff or dawn dish detergent usually get the oils/residues off.
The khorne lady would make a great alternative model for the leader of the untamed beasts Warcry warband!
Their models are great. Though FYI make sure to follow their guidelines to cleaning the models to the letter, or you will struggle to glue them together and getting paint to stick.
This is no joke. The company says to off gas the figs for a week.
This is not an exaggeration, it takes a week.
The instructions that they give in the boxes need to be followed or the paint slides off.
1. Wash on sprue with warm soap and water.
2. Soak in degreaser for an hour.
3. Rinse thoroughly with hot water
4. Allow to dry and off gas mold release for 5-7 days.
5. Then you can prime. (I still had to let the primed sit overnight for it to act like GW plastic or Reaper.
3 different sets from the company, all had the same issues with priming.
Gorgeous figs with insane detail.
@@Gauldame What the hell does "off gas" mean? What does that involve?
@@koultunami9013 basically you leave the resin in a open or ventilated area to allow any residues to evaporate that's what they mean by off gas in this scenario. Probably best to do this before cleaning to ensure any residue is gone.hope that helps explain it.
I got my first box of Raging Heroes. A trio of mech walkers they are rather small but look dantastic. Thanks for the introduction.
I recently purchased some this summer, but have yet to put them together. From what I've seen, the quality has improved on the kits from even a year before. Some kits do have different weapon/arm configurations packaged with them. There are some that are configured for both fantasy or sci-fi.
Fun video. Looking forward to seeing some painted.
Very beautiful minis. You really have to clean them very good. Some models are in need of quite a bit greenstuff work to hide the seams between the parts. But they are a delight to paint because the sculpts are amazing.
I got some Wrack-alternate models. My 2 small issues were the amount of flash they had and that they were very delicate. Really cool looking though!
Quick wash and scrub with warm soapy water and an old tooth brush is the best way to remove the degreaser and normally becomes the standard procedure when purchasing any resin GK models.
These are some really nice warhammer proxies especially as a lot of models are old and outdated
Thanks for an interesting review Naomi! Apart from the flashing, the models seem pretty stunning and high quality. And yes I agree, getting or making yourself some armor would be an excellent idea! Thanks, enjoy your day!
I purchased an Iron Empire army last weekend. Lovely models suited for 30K/40K or any sci-fi skirmisher due to the amount of unique character models in their range.
I love their miniatures. Just recently ordered myself 200 € of dark elves for my cities of sigmar army.
I got an entire army from one of the kickstarters. I was so hyped for them until I assembled the entire army not knowing how bad the release agent was. It was utterly imposable for me to remove it after assembly. So my advice is do the cleaning before assembly as this will save yourself a headache.
Being a newcomer to resin in 28-32mm figure scale (and avoiding Finecast like the plague due to known issues with that resin...), I'd be curious to see you do an "assemble with me" and/or "paint with me" video with one of these wonderful models. I've not purchased and Raging Heroes kits yet, but this video has me looking seriously at these for a future purchase (once I cut down on my 'unpainted' pile...).
I just prepped n based my Liligrith from Raging Heroes! It is my 1st purchase from them. I looove her!!!
Never knew about these minis, going to have to get some someday
Corn for the corn god! Butter for the butter throne! Lord Redenbacher will be pleased at these additions! It also amused me so much when you opened the Penitent Engines and said do not eat on the packing peanuts lol. Its also sad that people would need to be told that :(. I want just the ladies from the penitent engines to convert the awful GW ones! These all look fantastic.
The faces look much nicer than what GW has been managing recently. They are definitely more of the old-school, over-the-top design at a time when GW has been moving to a slightly more realistic style. While I do like the general look and feel of the Primaris marines, I do miss some of the old, bombastic style. There is something to be said for improbably large gun barrels, demonic soldiers with horns as tall as they are, and lady warriors with swirling capes and 6” combat stiletto heels!
They look great to me, very high detailed, with pimp weapons and with actual recognizable faces with eyes and eyebrows; also their surface (it's finnish) look good to paint.
Great post ,these look interesting , and you really do spark interest in them . Top marks.
Really nice to see some good quality female sculpts! A lot of very dynamic poses
I love their Khornate minis! I know what my next hobby purchases are.
awesome new merchandise you have there
They look awesome!
I do love their miniatures but found them to be difficult to work with. I ordered a dozen or so but only assembled and painted 2 successfully. Maybe it's time to revisit them.
Love to see some of these painted someday, I never knew they existed until today
Wait....there's a range called LUST ELVES....I need some in my life......hay....don't judge lol
So...you’ve not seen the shewerewolves?
I would like to see a true quality review.
I had some of their miniatures 2 years ago.
They met the garbage...
The worst thing was the LOT of airholes in the resin, often at places were you really can't fix it with green stuff or our other puttys.
Some of the weapons were hollow!
The mold lines/ flashes were incredible...
After spending hours to try to fix them i threw them away, i was too angry to think about complaining.
Usually you get only render pictures of their miniatures...
There must be a reason why they don't have true pictures or a gallery on their site...
I would really like to know if they improved the quality.
Going by the ones shown in this video it looks like they have improved but that's just an opinion. The problem with resin is as far as I'm aware, is once cast it can't be reused unlike cast metal which is just remelted or the injection moulded ones like games workshop make the material can be ground up and reused to a certain extent. This can lead to company's passing figures that really shouldn't make it to the customer (forge world). I can't recall the name but I remember seeing one company selling blind boxes of parts for a much lower price that would be rejected because of faults in the casts but for those that are willing to either re sculpt the faults or use them to kit bashing it's a cheaper option and the company recovers some of the costs. You really should have contacted them and given them the chance to rectify the problem though, if they failed to do so then it's a bad company but you won't find out because you didn't give them the opportunity. From what I've been told by friends that have bought their figures their customer service is pretty good.

The company is mierce miniatures.
But unlike FW they sell perfect quality.
I have something around 80 or 90 miniatures of all sizes from mierce, it's a real pleasure to assemble and paint them.
Not cheap, but absolutely flawless.
thank you for this video! there isnt too many videos on these minis. will you be painting some up? thank you again
I plan to! :)
😎👍🏻 you like creepy stuff like me lol , only thing is my eyes 👀 would bug out on painting minis Always enjoy your presentation ‘s Naomi.
I absolutely love your reviews.
They look incredibly cool.
The cowboy looking one or the Khorne one were the best looking
Very tempted to pick them up.
I already have some as substitutes for Sisters of Battle. (Only just starting to dabble with 40K), and only going to play casual.
I got as far as cleaning up some. It varies but some of them have a daunting amount of flash but the flash, (not the model), is very brittle so it cleans off quite easily.
The models that could substitute as penitent engines have an incredible Gothic vibe. If you thought PP Bastion Seneschals were OTT with filigree and detail, (i did ponder buying a candelabra), you are in for a shock. Look at these, and MarcoFrisoni’s Blanchitsu tutorial. My painting muscles are twitching but...work intervenes.
I have some raging heroes miniatures and while I haven't gotten around to painting them I can say they are rather easy to clean and assemble. However the are very fragile and brittle so if you are a clutz like me take extra care with them.
Lots of sci-fi space battle nuns! 😻
I wish she looked at me like she looks at her void elves
Those look great.
Hey is it possible to get a link to buy in the video description? Thanks, they look great!
I see a great potential for an inquisition kill team out of those ladies Maybe you could do a 40k, AOS and the d&d collection out of the varied sets? Great range though, I'll be checking them out for sure.
Enough there Naomi to keep you busy till next Christmas unless you get your little Sis and Melanie in on the process?
Nice models I'm envious to a degree but would they stand up to my Space Wolves?
these minis look really nice
Definitely gonna have to bug my local hobby shop to stock these.
I believe they also have .stl options.
Yep via patreon...very cool miniatures
I’ve bought from raging heroes. Gotta be careful because the models don’t always look like the model portrayed. Bought a model pictured with feathers in her hair and goggles on her forehead but it came with shades on and lots of other fine details missing.
Sword and Steele Web store??? They look awesome
Did you ever get a chance to paint some of these up? Would love to see how they turned out!
I seem to be the odd man out in that I don't mind flashing. It tells me that they're not skimping on the resin.
Thank you , Lady N .
Naomi......how did I miss this video. 😳
Manarion would make an awesome astaroth!
They have a patreon for 3d printers: Heroes Infinite. It's quite good.
So professional, so well spoken and so beautiful , l love your posts , good luck with the store may 2021 be a year of peace , health and prosperity for you in all your family.
I’m a huge fan and it’s tough to find raging heroes in Canada. It’s hit and miss with other stores. Is your store open for business. I’d like to order some
Are these Supplemental for 40K from third party company ? like what they do with D&D where you have WotC but other people create content for the edition they are currently on???? because some of those minis are very close to sisters of battle etc ...
Nope, there's no such thing as licensed 3rd party models from GW. Only models produced by GW are considered 'official'.
However, there are many companies that make miniatures that heavily copy the 40k aesthetic. Usually they give them silly names like 'necro cyborgs' instead of 'necrons', or 'war nuns' instead of 'sisters of battle'. It's obvious what they are supposed to be, but they avoid using any GW trademarks to avoid being sued.
Usually they get away with it, although GW have shut down several companies who took it a bit too far.
It might seem a bit harsh, but as someone who designs for a living, I'd be pissed too if someone blatantly ripped off my ideas to make a quick buck...
yeah because you can buy a bunch of those Sisters here , paint them , base them and add them to your army and call them a different chapter from a different world and if you use the official stats on those models instead of the gw ones and the guy you play with is ok, then these are awesome...i think i will buy the fantasy ones though ...wwaaaaaay cooler at least for me...
So is there a game based around these minis or do they just slot slot into whichever game I can make them fit? Or both?
Both :)
I'd love to see the p. engine comparison
I just bought $500 worth of nighthaunt and I've never painted a model in my life
Don’t what it is about Those machines of theodicy but they kinda remind me of penetant engines
Amazingly sexy figures with awesome detail, but the prices I've seen are insane. Combined with the preparation needed it's a no for me.
Damn. Good looking miniatures like these are too dangerous when you're broke.
This is targeted advertising. Naomi knows I don't like some of the sisters models and is trying to make me buy these. 💰
She did say she was confident in getting them sold ^^
Lol ... me too!
If anyone is interested in an unpainted set of the Dia De Los Muertos limited edition, lemme know. They’re a bit too small for my old eyes...lol
The sisters were nice until last year, when the official adepta sororitas range was 20yo, but now the new plastic sisters of battle i think outsurpass the RH ones by a lot
I think it's kind of hilarious that some in the gaming community don't think they need female characters, then Raging Heroes come along with nothing but, and seem to be doing just fine. I'm not calling out any particular minis based gaming franchise, we all know gamers of every franchise who are open and inviting to all, and fans of every franchise who are not.
When ballerinas go bad. . . ;-)
Their qa is all over the place.
I've had a few sets of the rageing hero's minis they are very nice n almost as good looking as you 😘
Nice quality. I like the designs, they are very feminine.
What is that accent? It isn't Canadian.
There are always “pretty ladies” on this channel, why you feel the need to point it out in this videos thumbnail is beyond me 🤷🏻♂️
Это был женский штурмовой батальон и вспомогательный батальон - для "Подземелий и Драконов" и "Звёздной Могилы" 👩🚒💂♀️🦸♀️🦹♀️🧛♀️🧜🏼♀️🧞♀️
Naomi......are they all women ?........me like.
the majority of the range are sisters of battle / imperial guard / dark elves / deamonette female characters, especially in the sci fi variants, i believe that i have only seen 1 male mini in the range. the fantast range are astounding, and all female from what i rmember
spawn boots
Very curious on Naomi's take on the over sexualized nature of the figs.
I looked through the stock list, but couldn't see a gatekeeper.
RH figures give me a “raging hero”, if you’re picking up what I’m putting down.
Some looked interesting, most looked way too much designed by a hentai addicted guy in his 30ies living in his parents basement for my taste...
If the price is right, there seems to be lots of interesting bitz for kitbashing the hell out of.
Also, simple green is a liquid dish soap, and I use a tooth brush and cotton ear buds to remove the last cleaning residue.
I like the wood-like texture of working with resin models, but be careful when cutting as the resin may have different density in different parts of a model, where a blade tends to snag and/or slip when it reaches a change in density. This is most common in larger models, such as a Titan, a MARS or Lucius pattern Baneblade or similiar sized model.
All those balloon boobs and ankle-breaking high heels will sell well to the same type of people as the designer haha
but yeah some look nice, some look like straight ripoffs from the sisters of battle from 40k
I’m a simple man, balloon boobs and stripper heels rev my engine. I’m far from being a “hentai addicted basement dweller” lol. I just like women that look like strippers/pr0n stars.
@@NeonKnight83 lol, if that's the models you enjoy, you won't have any competition at the store from me at least, to each their own, I'm more of a hips and face focused guy ;)
@@SonsOfLorgar Hips indeed. They're just... fun to look at.
You play xbox ??:)
