This channel fills me with a sense of calm, zen not felt since The Teletubies and Bob Ross. I can’t seem to stop watching. It’s like chicken soup for the wargamer.
yeh, and i`m not even a wargamer, so chicken soup for a painter i guess
Awesome job! Can't wait to see more. Loving this channel!
Looks great, nice job. I just picked these guys up yesterday and looking forward to painting them.
Definitely keen to paint up some of these guys!
Loved the vile of poison, thanks for explaining how it's done!
So cool watching the model come to life more and more with each step. Great work!
Love your videos Naomi, great colour choices on the mini!
Great looking finish to your miniature, you are very talented!
Jas.
This model came out looking fantastic. The transition on the helm and belt item, the great looking skin, the badass shield. I am so excited to get this warband now.
greetings from the u.k. another great vid, loved every one you've done. you have a very soothing voice and show some painting skills. more vids please
This is my favourite warband, going to paint the snakes different colours to make them stand out, certainly one of the best painting videos I have seen, loving this channel :)
Looks great! Keep up the awesome work.
I just ordered the 20 figure set of the splintered fang. Great timing. Ive never painted these before (only 30 & 40k for the passed few years) thanks for sharing your tutorial
A fab video, thank you!!
Never knew you did full mini painting videos! Nice work
contrast paints are so good for skin and this looks just like the model on the box art
Great vid! Thanks for sharing
Great work. Cant wait to see your work with Cabal and The Unmade
cool channel, and your an awesome painter
Heh, the rest of Canada knew it was east coast, 😉
Another great vid, keep em up!
I like having these videos on while I am painting. I find Naomi both interesting and soothing to listen to. I just found the channel recently, but I am trying to go through the entire episodes list. :)
You do a good Job , keep on , Greetings from Germany ;) .
Nice! I really like the contrast paints. The vial or dagger on his hip came out great, and the mohawk, and tabbard. Very cool.
Those crows sound epic in the background!
Adorable.
Thank you Naomi!
Nice paint job!! ..I will be interested to see a video of you and your friend telling how you falled in the hobby? ;)
Like Roman gladiators so cool. Priming white is the way to go. That Vallejo brush cleaner is amazing for cleaning dried paint up in the ferule. I use the masters brush soap with a lukewarm running tap/faucet.
this channel is ASMR gold.
Nice video. you are very talented.
Great recipe for the fleshtone: the darker tones have always been quite difficult to render in a semi-realistic way (aka for miniatures).
Will be painting the same warband in the next days, it will come useful!
Also great blending on the headcreast and the poison vial
As I just finished painting several Warhammer Underworlds Warbands with dark colored skin the old fashioned way, seeing this is a little annoying because it looks really well done lol
That seem to be a very cozy place to paint with that fireplace in the background.
It is ^_^
Whilst watching/listening to you paint, I’ve been painting an ale guzzler. Call about a difference in size 😁
I like how peaceful and relaxed you project yourself in all your videos in general. And that's nice.✌We need more nice You tube creators if you ask me.
Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. I can empathise with the heat - it gets to 45 celcius here in summer! Freezing right now though. Anyway, good clean paint job. Ill be stealing that recipe for dark skin tone!
love your paint with me videos , you have a very smooth ASMR voice, and skills with the brush
Hi I think u r a very good painter the man looks great
Slick!
I like these type of videos while i paint my miniatures, i get ideas and feel like im painting in a group. Could you some more including more Nighthaunt for your current army?
More gamers from Canada - and the east coast at that. Howdy neighbor! I had to pause your video to see if those crows were cawing outside your window or mine :D
Being from Ireland myself, I was so curious about your accent lol. I lived in Toronto for a while but I heard that St. Johns has a big Irish influence so it makes a lot of sense.
The thing about stc is when you paint models an army they all look the se but this is overlooked I think and instead of interpreting or plain accepting they all look the same there I noticed is an attempt to analyze the model when in that aspect they all look the same because they for the most part are painted Accord to a pallet which matches. So there is no differentiating amounts the army. But I'm sure it's done any ways or I mean I'm sure it can be done any ways to twist and bend to well someone one else's rule or rules I guess. But hey I hope everyone they are happy and the best of roleplaying warhammering anything they do really. Have fun 😊
Nice video. I hope see how you paint some Daughter of khaine. My congratulations from spain 🇪🇸
Españoleeeeeee
Those appear to be closely based on ancient Greek hoplites, thus the bronze 'old gold' metals.
Loved the video. Your improving with each one! Keep up the great work guys!
nice vid naomi, i use vallejos too, i think they're way better than gw paints. also i like the pose of your mini, reminds me of 300 :) cool
Thank you for this video, I was looking for inspiration for my Splintered Fangs! Could you please list me all paints you used for the mini? For my shopping cart ^^
Love your videos keep up the great work. also cool paint job Naomi :D
Lovely necklace.
Some great blending and a good recipe for the dark flesh.
How do you feel Vallejo Brush Cleaner compares to a solid paste like Masters Brush Cleaner? I've always used Masters but have nothing to compare it to.
So I skipped ahead after 2 minutes, and ahh... keep up the good work
I did not paint but I did base a 40mm base for something totally different.
What brushes are those? The colored ends are the same as on raphael brushes. Are they? Also the mini turned out great but i think i would like to see the painting process in detail (maby with some background music). Anyway nice result for such time. Ive stwrted painting my cypher lords in non metallic metal and its very time consuming (4 hours spent on blending colors togeather and maby half of the armor is done on one of them lol) ;)
I used some out of print Citadel brushes (fine detail, standard and medium drybrush) as well as an Army Painter kolinsky masterclass (BR7017)
How long did it take u to paint the whole man
.... My poor old heart.....
Well, this may be influencing how I paint my Splintered Fang... Seems a lot better than my original color scheme idea. Lol
Are Citadel paints in different containers in Newfoundland than other countries? I thought you were using an entirely different brand of paint during all the other painting videos until you said "warp lighting". Curious.
Sorry for the confusion! I put all my Contrast paints into Vallejo mixing bottles :)
@@swordnsteele712 Oh don't worry, I was just curious. That's a clever idea.
I live how he turned out! I'm eager to see the whole band painted like that. And it was a great video. I love these painting vids you do. :)
You are a gifted painter, do you enter competitions?
Not yet :)
The crows cawing outside were perfect. If there are a bunch of snakes hissing while you paint the.Corvus Cabal, that will be worrisome...
I must confess. I clicked on for the pretty woman but continued to watch for the excellent level of painting.
Can I ask, do you prime yours first. What one, it looks very pale in colour
It was primed with Citadel Wraithbone spray :)
Sword 'n' Steele. Nice. Love the use of the green too.
Have you tried a wet palette?
Do you do commission work?
I do :) I currently have a line up of things to paint but I do squeeze a commission piece here and there!
Very cool! Question about your paint, if I may? Do you pre-water down your Citadel paints when you put them in the bigger bottles? They sounded very sloshy when you were shaking them. Also, some of them sound like you added an agitator? May you could make a video about how you prep your paints?
how and where did you get those gw paint pots with the label and everything? and when you shake them... is that a mixing ball? do you put them in there even if the paint wasn't mixed?
Sorry for all the questions... been loving your videos :) I'm new to the hobby and your enthusiasm is contagious
Those are actually Vallejo mixing bottles with Citadel contrast paints in them (I removed and stuck the label on them)
You are right, that is a mixing ball you're hearing, an Army Painter mixing ball to be precise :)
I put them in most every bottle that I work with because they improve my shaking capability ^_^
I'd rather like to see a close up of the mini you are painting.
Hey Naomi, are you left handed?
Is it just me or is making the splinter fangs a right headache the sections to glue together are tiny points.
How many subs did you have 7 months ago? This looks like early days, no studio at this stage :)
My plan with these guys is to make them look sort of 'mediterranean' in a way, and play up how they look sort of like hoplites, so it'll be bronze weapons and armor all the way. Hopefully it will end up looking ok.
That sounds really good! :)
Putting the finishing touches to my untamed beasts while watching this.
I use Akhelian green over silver on the armour of my Iron Golems, I think it turned out pretty well, especially how it was my first foray into the world of contrast paints. They can be seen here necrothrallshallsofthedamned.blogspot.com/2019/08/we-make-war-iron-golems-for-warcry.html
I use masters
You are so darn sweet. I'm glad I found your channel.
how could anyone say no
Its looking good, but is there any chance the focus could be a little more on the mini and you could provide some on screen overlay or lists of paints used? I mean I understand the marketing and angle involved here but zoom in a little on the mini pretty please. :)
4:18 naomi wth link me or something for your mtg alts you have done
pleeeze hope you still do this.
Brush
you guys should do asmr!! start a second channel or somthing, you'd probably be the best on youtube!!! :)
Cool intro sound, but SILENCE during the rest. Kinda on the fence about that. At least a basic track would do to cover the weird background noise.
I can´t really see what you´re painting. The camera position is too far away or you have to zoom in.
Or do you want that we are looking at you instead of the Miniature? ;-) ....
Well, sort of? I made the first Paint with Me video on a whim because I find it nice to paint with someone and I was alone at the time but excited about our new CZcams channel. I thought perhaps others across the computers might be alone too and want someone to paint with too. When I can, I will be adding another point of view for the model itself but I will be keeping my original view because that's how it was meant to be :)
Oh, I understand! Both would be verry nice! I like your Channel.....
I think she is doing a fantastic job and everything is fine with her process.
Whenever you get close to the cam to show off the mini, I am compelled to boop your nose for some reason :P Thank you for all the paint-with-me vids.
Would it be possible to adjust the camera to focus more on the model rather than to the right of you?
Too much paper towel!
