    Like the tips. Thanks.
    Personally... I need to calorie count. Listening to my "body" always lands me in a ~1lb per month weight gain. Gained about 20lbs in the last two years and I'm now back to calorie counting this year to try to bring it down. (200lbs is a lot of weight to be throwing around in gymnastics :D)
    Also I'm a quantitative living kinda guy... so although I can't keep up the calorie counting indefinitely gives me a sense of knowing what I'm doing.... so just plus to everyone is different and need different motivations.
    (also counting calories has a side benefit... I'm lazy... so I'll give up that piece of cake for say a bowl of yogourt and fruit... just because I'm too lazy to figure out the calories in the cake ;) )

    Thanks for nice guide. So you are eating 3 times per day or there are also other meals between? Also any guide for protein amounth as gram per kg of weight? Im 66kg now with 180cm, trying to get some weight on muscles.

      +Lukas Cechovic Glad you liked it mate, I normally either have 3 large meals with the occasional snack in between or 2 large meals and 2 small meals per day. On a training day, I don't like to go more than a couple of hours with ingesting some form of protein! I personally have never measured the amount of protein that I eat I just try to eat a high % of protein for a low total calorie intake as in the video - my best advice for increasing muscle mass is to increase your resistance training! Make sure you're training in the hypertrophic rep range most of the time too (roughly 6-12 reps)

    I don't really think strick diet matters... I don't eat well at all! I eat lots and lots of snacks and candy. I think good techniques outweigh diet

    You should definately see more into fats. It's a mistake to say, that saturated fat is straight out bad. Also, please don't eat norwegian salmon, along with panga it is the most contaminated fish. (they feed them with pesticides as preservatives, and their habitat is soooo fucking toxic waters). Nice intro though, I didn't like the previous one at all... :D

      +ChlepZeSzynkom That's interesting - in my mind unsaturated fats are the healthier type and saturated fats are the unhealthy kind which promote cardiovascular disease and such - I may well be wrong though, I haven't studied nutrition in much detail for some time. Could you link me to a paper or an article on the health benefits of saturated fat? I'd be interested to learn more! And yes I think this intro is a big improvement, I'm glad you agree! :)

      You never let me down. I don't really believe in everything that has a research to prove it, but there are some reasonable sources of simple knowledge especially on the fats, that had so little love in not so far past. Btw. I was also taught the way you were about them on my University of PE, but well... articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2014/07/27/saturated-fat-cholesterol.aspx This is seemingly a good start, but all you have to do if you REALLY wanna get into it, is type in google "saturated fats not bad/research" etc. :D Do that only if you have too much free time though, the reading is really addictive! When it comes to my own nutrition, I keep my fat % at about 10 constantly, I don't eat carbs around the training time, for breakfast and sapper I go with a lot of fat and protein. That's basically what I figured out to work best for myself, but everyone is different. TL:DR I strongly recommend eating fat (sic!), with the strong exception of avoiding the TRANS one.

    You know? There's absolutely no difference between orange juice and a can of Coke. Both are just a bunch of sugar water.

      @learngymnasticsonline5341  Před 5 lety +1

      Good point, in terms of weight gain calories are calories regardless of how 'healthy' the source is. I actually don't drink fruit juice that often, I normally just drink water.

      @@learngymnasticsonline5341, I quit sodas long ago, but continued to drink juices for a very long time because I thought they were healthy. But now I know that fruit juice is just fruit with all the healthy stuff removed.
      (I'm pretty sure that's why you put quotes around, "healthy")

      Body fat percentage matters, because fat ads weight without adding strength.
      Therefor, you can eat whatever you want as long as your body fat percentage is low. If your body fat percentage starts to increase, then your diet will become a lot more important.

    • @learngymnasticsonline5341
      @learngymnasticsonline5341  Před 5 lety

      I think most people would agree that you can't out train a bad diet, I certainly can't! But in terms of staying lean, it is far more important to monitor how much you eat, rather than what you eat per se.
