Doesn't look like your charger was plugged in since the battery is still showing the watt figure being drawn which from what I have seen in your other videos does not show if it is being charged, as it only shows battery % when it is being charged. Also, your battery % is still dropping like a rock while you have the wire connected and I doubt that would be happening if it were actually charging.
Could you pls test some older games? Like BioShock, mass effect or prey, curious how well they're going to run. Also would love to see far cry franchise

I’ve watched all of your steam deck videos. Your whole thing was how it’s a hand held device and how impressive it is and how we should all calm down about the fps. You always say 30fps is acceptable. Now all your videos are about how important FPS is! And comparing the FPS of the Deck with the Ally. I don’t get it. Does FPS matter to you now that you have access to a device capable of reaching higher FPS? If so let me know and I’ll consider buying an ALLY!
It’s not all about FPS. I say in a lot of videos even on Ally. I even recommend to play at 30 FPS and the best possible graphics instead of low graphics and higher FPS. I play games here on Ally with 30FPS because I put graphics before FPS.
All the settings recommended by me are for that device being used. It’s normal to use more if we have more at our disposal.
On Ally, a game with the same graphic settings as on Steam Deck, it will look much better thanks to the Ally’s display. That is incontestable.
So, don’t get it wrong. If Ally can offer high graphics, higher resolution and amazing FPS, that doesn’t mean we should not like it or use it.
Every upgrade has its beauty. That happened when I switched from N Switch to Steam Deck. Now from Steam Deck to Ally. Next year probably from Ally to Steam Deck 2 or Ally 2.
We should be thankful for the visible progress made with portable devices.
Of course you can enjoy the games on Steam Deck at 30FPS. But once you play something better, when you know it’s there and especially when you have it, Ally in this case, well, there’s no turning back to Steam Deck. Again, it happened for me with PS new generations and N Switch vs SD.
I recommended to use Steam Deck at its best. I accepted what it had to give and appreciated every moment of gameplay. I still do. But, progress cannot be denied. What Ally offers, was unthinkable in Steam Deck era. Of course we wanted more even then, but it was hard to compete with Steam Deck. Now, we have more powerful options. And this is very important.
Appreciate it and all of your insight! At this point, I have to go with the Ally. I agree with your Switch to Steam Deck comparison, that’s spot on. It seems like portable gaming is going to constantly and rapidly evolve and that’s not a bad thing! Keep up the good work, I love your vids
