  • A time lapse video detailing the process of padding my new dress form, Pearl, to my measurements so that I can use her to drape the pattern for my dresses! You can see the post associated with this video at www.katmakes.com - and come say hi on Instagram! @katklebenow

Where did you get the mannequin cover? I've managed to get my form pretty close without any padding but it would be nice to have something to cover all the gaps!

It comes with the Fabulous Fit system, but I've had a quick peek and it looks like you can order the cover without the pads off their website: www.fabulousfit.com/extra-pads-1/regular-cover-set-small-natural
The covers are made out of a sturdy, stretchy cotton jersey material with elastics overlocked into the arm, neck, and bottom openings so I imagine if you were feeling industrious you could make a cover yourself using a close-fitting T-shirt pattern, maybe a few sizes smaller so that it stretches over your mannequin :)
It definitely looks so much nicer with the cover on it!

Oh cool, thanks. I have considered whipping up something myself but it has become one of those projects that will honestly never get done... :|
