Alex is on today as we catch up with the weekend’s drama over the 2024 Eurovision song contest and ask which is more real, twitter or Eurovision (those are the only two options). Then, some disastrous new polls for the Biden campaign, Trump searches for a VP and praises Hannibal Lecter, and Bret Stephens & Gail Collins search for the true value of a commencement speech and decide it’s about telling kids to get off their damn phones.

The underlying problem is that the DCCC doesn't seem to be taking the threat of a second trump term seriously. They might get more votes if they did
The DCCC figure they will always exist as the only other option, will retain funding and power, and don't really lose anything if Trump wins.

The reason why Israel is in Eurovision is because when Eurovision was launched in like, the 50s or something idk, participants were linked by British (and other) owned communications technology or something? Israel had it because it was a colony or partner of the UK etc.

Brah listening to Americans talk about Eurovision is so cringeworthy. 18th is a great placing for the UK. Everyone hates the UK. Its very rare for the UK to place above 20. Ireland famously always enters a terrible song because the winners have to host and Ireland won so many times in the 70s that it was starting to impact their GDP. This is not controversial as much as business as usual.
The voter fraud those people were talking about was probably voting for their own country, which is meant to be impossible under the way the competition tallys votes. That not an important detail to understanding whats going on?
