    Looks pretty easy! Maybe I'll buy one of these.

      It's completely worth it!
      2 things to remember are:
      (1) It's a very raw setup and has a risk for cosmetic blemishes around the lip if you're not careful
      (2) Use a source of lube for the bead! This will make the entire process a world of difference.
      Thank you for watching. I hope you go for it. Check back with your experience and any questions!

      Thank you! In speaking of tpms, I need to transfer my OEM sensors to my aftermarket wheels. The light is annoying lol.

    Oh, BTW, I have the balancer too...Just important to really calibrate it. My first shot, I had vibrations, but took my time again, now they are gone after mounting snow tires. 2013 Sentra.

      Glad to hear that, I am looking forward to using it. The important thing is to announce the flaws and mistakes, followed by the outcome once figured out. You can reach out to me on Instagram, I would like to share ideas on using it. The help would definitely be appreciated, as well as the community as well!

    Don't concentrate on one spot when bead breaking, turn the wheel a bit after you get a little bit of a gap.
    Use a soap or tire lube when installing. Chemicals can hurt the rubber.
    There are plastic drop center tools that help keep the bead down on the opposite side you are levering. Makes it easier.
    No balance weights to add, bit of a surprise, but possible. Were they balanced?

    • @Ron_5219
      @Ron_5219  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thanks a ton for the advice, I will definitely incorporate the tips and techniques in the next change.
      As far as balancing, I have had 2 vehicles (8 wheels) I have done tire changes on. Each wheel, once complete, I put on my bubble balancer....all were in spec. I did trie the balancer on flat ground, leaving the bubble in target, followed by moving around the balancer to ensure it naturally returns to "home" . Again, all wheels were in spec and notice 0 wobble. Hopefully, on day, I will be able to utilize the tool and get experience in doing so.
      Thank you for the support!

      @@Ron_5219 Hi Ron, It's been a long learning experience for me... and I'm still learning. It has to be cost effective, so I keep tabs on what I spend on an excel chart & I'm still ahead of the game after doing 22 tires and 4 TPMS battery changes (light flashes, then goes solid).
      I could never get the install end of the bar to work and finished the tires with tire levers, which is fine, specially if you are short on room or have nice rims. I did come up with a cheap home made bar that works just like the fancy tire machines. The Mk4 version works well.
      I bought a bubble balancer, but it was poorly made in so many ways, I gave up on it.

      Keep it up, you are doing great

    This is great, I bought one of these too, but also bought the upgrade adapter from Lucid (waiting on that). Beats using blocks of wood and tire irons. Did you mess the rims up at all. Great video thanks!

      @Ron_5219  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Awesome! I love it, paid for itself by far. I used it to replace my tires on a set of aftermarket wheels for my car. To prevent anything cosmetic showing, I placed a towel on the circle support plate and serviced it with the face of the wheel down. So, if there was any risk of scratching, it would be on the inside and not seen. Keep in mind that the barrel of the wheel(s) will have a tapper point for the bead to have its most movement, allowing the process to work. As far as the wheels in the video are shown, there is still no damage. The upgrade you purchased is gonna make it that much better, and honestly a prime choice. Lube is a huge help in the entire process. I choose to use the flat end to reapply the tire due to the nature of the other end, basically dragging on the lip of the wheel. Just take your time and finesse the tire to prevent breaking the wire in the bead. All in all, it's a learning tool that becomes a very simple process. Patience is key, but again... completely worth it!!.
      Thank you for the question, and I hope this helps! You're gonna love it.

    You always want to take the valve core out because regardless of how much air you let out with the valve core in you wont be able to compress the tire enough to break the bead due to air still in the tire not being able to release and you want the bead breaker slightly toward the rim not straight down with it straight down it has the chance of slipping out for the best lubrication without wasting money just use any hind of dish soap pb blaster and wd-40 are both petroleum products and can deteriorate the rubber. Using the flat part of the bar can break the bead of the wheel which will not let it seal properly. no offense to this guy just some tips that he left out

      I use heat shrink tubing over a 2 foot prybar end Combined with soapy water as lubricant it doesn’t damage the wheels when mounting and dismounting the tires

    did you bolt the tire changer to the concrete?

    • @Ron_5219
      @Ron_5219  Před 6 měsíci

      Absolutely! I probably should have mentioned that. I used 3/8" concrete studs. Once you have it bolted to the ground, it's impressively solid. Thank you for asking and watching!

    This tire changer is a tool I would only use on steel wheels.... Good for drifters! That wheel balancer is sketch.

      It for sure has it's pros and cons, I love to do things on my own for saving money and gaining experience. The convenience of the expense, size, and requirements needed for it can't be beat. As long as your careful the job can be done. I completed all 4 on my aftermarket wheels on the Caddy without any issues, although I did those upside-down.
