Great job man.. what you use for paint on the grille?
Actually, I wrapped it. It's a Matte Black vinyl from Amazon.
I have a 09 srx 3.6 Will this all be the same process for its motor mounts
I'd hope so, but I absolutely have no idea lol.
Thanks for this great video. My 17 year old son bought himself a 2013 A4 Premium Plus. He bought an ECS coil over kit for it, and this video allowed him to be able to do the install completely by himself. There were a few setbacks, such as that huge bolt you showed at the beginning and removing the rear springs after compression but damn if he didn’t get it done! Thanks again!
That makes my day to hear he did it! And with the influence of my video, I couldn't be more thankful for that. Your very welcome! I hope he enjoys it as much as I do.
thank you for the o2 info my mthrotle repose seems like i could replace the three in my deville.
I hope it helps, it never hurts to replace them and eliminate it as a possibility. Thank you for the feedback!
i was wondering if the cts fule rail and injecters from a 2016 cts and swap it with my 2000 plastic fule rail. could it work better or may be it would throw codes.
I'd say as long as they look the same, they should perform the same. Just make sure the connections and injector fittings align correctly.
hay the pittsburg torqus wrench dose just fine. I did my 2000 cadillac devilles top end and it got my head bolts on just fine. it works well.
I agree, If I were to use one every day or for internal component work, then I would consider a higher dollar or more premium option. But as far as basic needs, it does just fine.
Just a thought, put the bottom bolts in and jack the engine up to pull them from the upper mounts.
I really appreciate the feedback, but I'm having alittle trouble fully understanding what your saying...
I think he said it the opposite way he meant.. He was probably trying to say ...put the bottom bolts in the motor mounts. The raise the motor to see if it would separate the top part of the motor mount that u were trying to pry. By sorta stretch the motor mount apart. I don't know if this is right or even if it would work
They do not make a replacement hanger bearing for original oem parts have to buy a whole new drives haft!!
Correct, as far as OEM goes. I buy all my "OEM" quality replacements on 1Aauto.com. Very good website, and extremely great pricing.
Nice, detailed footage. Thanks for sharing (S5 owner) 👍👍
Thank you! I know myself that some videos tend to leave out the little things that might be a big deal for another person. I appreciate the feedback! Ps. The S5 looks amazing imo
This is the best video on Engine mount I have seen so far. That is a good explanation, I own a 2011CTS and looking to replace all the front suspension including the trans mount.
Thank you! I was intimated going into the process , but after some hands on...It was surprisingly simple. Just patience and modification to some cheap tools. I appreciate the feedback!
Thanks. I don't have the shop or tools, so my Ford is going into the dealer's shop for this later this week. How long did you take to complete?
Definitely a days worth of labor (for my situation). I'm sure a shop could probably accelerate the job by a few hrs with proper equipment.
You do know you put that bearing in upside-down....I can imagine how that worked out
This is an interesting comment. Elaborate please
Can you show before and after engine start and drive
Can you do before & afters ok how the engine feels and starts
You used both the gasket and o ring?
No, I used the new gasket and discarded the old one. And the provided O-ring ad well.
What code did you had?
Can't remember now, but it was stating the O2 sensors were below the threshold.
nice video very helpful
Awesome! I hope everything worked out for you
🔥💨
🙏
Cool man
Thank you!
Would have been better off with the components in the front doors and a 6.5 coax in the rear. Those components are a decent sounding speaker, kind of wasted in the back doors. Also you might reconsider the placement of the tweeter in the door, might sound better if it was mounted closer to the woofer. All in all it is a nice system. I have the 6x0s and I am using the elite tweeters in my dash as opposed to the 3.5s. I dont have the depth in my dash to accomodate them. I am using the 75.4AB and an RP800,1 for 4 10s. It sounds great for what I have spent. I am using Kicker 6x9s in the front doors since the skar 6x0s were way too deep and was getting hit by my window regulator. They are in the rear deck where clearance isnt as much of an issue.
Your setup sounds like it has great output. I'm definitely going to look into relocating the rear tweeters. Thank you for the feedback and support!
Thanks for recording this. I notice that the carrier bearing on my edge is going. I didn’t check the u joints as I haven’t taken the whole driveshaft out. Have you found this to be a good repair with lasting benefits since you did it? Thanks
Absolutely! There have been 0 issues to date. Thank you for the feedback and support!

Good job!
Thank you! I really appreciate the support!
Thank you Ron.. Great video. To avoid hassling with bearings...would you consider just replacing the whole hub assembly, that comes with a new bearing already installed? Thx
Absolutely! I'm sure it would save time. The bearing itself was cheaper, but as you saw, it came with its steps to achieve the replacement. I didn't try too hard to find the complete assembly, I just know it was more difficult than the bearing alone. If you can, I'd say give it a shot! Thank you for the support, I very much appreciate it!
I have a 2011 ford edge, I need both my front wheel brearings replaces but all the ones online say Rear!! does it matter? Google said it does but i just have no idea, do you have the link for these? I just need front ones but i cant find any
Absolutely matters. The rears are the entire hub assembly, and the fronts ONLY offer the bearing itself. I don't know why this is, but this is the only way I have found to purchase the fronts from any vendor. As far where to get them, I always go to 1Aauto.com for all my replacement parts (as long as they are available). Here is the link for the set of 2 (bith front bearings) : www.1aauto.com/front-driver-and-passenger-side-2-piece-wheel-bearing-set-timken-tkshs00510/i/tkshs00510/1449479/2011 Thank you very much for the support and question/feedback! @@Ron_5219 Thank you soo much !!!!!😇
Did it end up fixing your idle problem?
Absolutely! I'm very happy too. This JEEP has been running amazing since. Thank you a ton for the support and feedback 🙏
Way too much compound to start with, that stuff goes a long way. You can also try turtle wax one and done or 3D One if you want to skip the polishing step and have a compound that can cut and finish in one step.
Awesome tip, thank you! Which part was the too much compound? The priming or application between each untouched section?
Thank you!! I really appreciated this video and you definitely cleared up a couple of questions/misconceptions I had. I know this isn’t a professional shop/detailing service so I appreciate that. The only thing I’ll mention to u is that project farm released a comparison video to find the best ceramic waxes. You’ll be able to find it if u search “project farm ceramic waxes”. If you do u do, if u don’t u don’t. I’m just trying to help u find the best bang for your buck. Again thank you!
And I also ordered the clay bar through ur link in hopes that it was an affiliate link
Thank you! I'm happy that you got some benefit from this, and as far as project farm, I will absolutely look into that. Can it be purchased locally? If so, I can incorporate my input when I 2 stage the Audi this weekend. I really appreciate the support and feedback.
No affiliation, but awesome that you did. I just wanted it as easy as possible for people to get ahold of the products used
@@Ron_5219the one that came out on top was also the cheapest. It’s the turtle wax hybrid solution ceramic spray
@@Ron_5219 I’m sure u can. It’s a popular brand. I just did half of my truck today with it. It feels great, it’s so smooth. It’s a night a day difference to the panels I haven’t ceramic coated yet.
Mediocre products. You need to decon wash with an iron remover (I.e., carpro iron x). After washing the car, just re-foam (i.e., Adams mega foam) and use it as a lubricant for the claybar. Rupees, flex, or griot polisher. Rupees pads. 2 step polish, sonax cutmax and sonax perfect finish. If you have to stick with meguiars, use meguiars professional 205 & 105 for hard paint, and 210 & 110 for soft finnicky paint (i.e., Tesla). You need to blow out the pads (i.e., compressed air at 90 psi with a tornador gun) to remove buildup. For the sealant to adhere properly, you need to spray an IPA (i.e., carpro eraser) to remove the oil from the polish. Gtechniq ceramic sealant or turtle wax seal & shine. Glass needs it's own formulated protectant (i.e., gyeon quickview). Dress the tires with a sealant such as carpro dark side.
its not a show car relax
Excellent feedback! This is a great reply to screen shot for a side note. To have this a another option or "upgraded" method is important for people interested in taking it 1 step further. Thank you! My goal on this channel is to help people gain confidence by showing the community I personally get the results I do for a reasonable budget. I very much appreciate the support and hope this helps direct people to achieve the goal(s) they are after.
@MrStompingshadow I agree, the main focus for the 1 day transformation was accomplished on a budget. I can't complain about the results after the process. Although, it is a great option to have avaliable for someone who might be looking to take it to a heighten level. I hope for viewers to not only benefit from this, but also share their experiences with others. Thank you for the support , I highly appreciate it🙏
Great video! I’m thinking I should just replace the knuckle. Looks like for $200 I can get the driver side and passenger side. What do you think?
I definitely think you should do whatever suits you best. For this particular year, nobody had a hub assembly available with the bearing installed. The rears YES, but the fronts I only had the bearing itself as a purchasing option. If you do have the opportunity to buy the complete unit, then it might make for a simpler swap/fix. Thank you for the support and feedback! I hope my input helps direct you to a befitting outcome!
I’m skared for life!
Not positive what you mean by that lol. Thank you for the feedback!

Never use a compression fitting on a brake line. you're risking yours and someone else's lives will not take the pressure a brake system can produce
Never had an issue. I'm not saying it's ideal, but at the time, it was an affordable fix. The repair outlasted the vehicles. Although, every repair ANYONE does is a liability if done without a "Certified mechanic" right...?
great, to many replace insted of repair.some times you cain't replace keep up the good work
Well said, Thank you!
Thought the explanations were good. You are right about not overtightening the compression fittings.
Thank you! I have learned by experience that over tightening will cause leaks and failure. Then you need to cut more lines, and the 2nd time around might not be as fun, lol.
This looks like a kymco cobra/top boy
Yes it does, resembles a V.I.P. too. Same colors and all lol.
Don't concentrate on one spot when bead breaking, turn the wheel a bit after you get a little bit of a gap. Use a soap or tire lube when installing. Chemicals can hurt the rubber. There are plastic drop center tools that help keep the bead down on the opposite side you are levering. Makes it easier. No balance weights to add, bit of a surprise, but possible. Were they balanced?
Thanks a ton for the advice, I will definitely incorporate the tips and techniques in the next change. As far as balancing, I have had 2 vehicles (8 wheels) I have done tire changes on. Each wheel, once complete, I put on my bubble balancer....all were in spec. I did trie the balancer on flat ground, leaving the bubble in target, followed by moving around the balancer to ensure it naturally returns to "home" . Again, all wheels were in spec and notice 0 wobble. Hopefully, on day, I will be able to utilize the tool and get experience in doing so. Thank you for the support!
@@Ron_5219 Hi Ron, It's been a long learning experience for me... and I'm still learning. It has to be cost effective, so I keep tabs on what I spend on an excel chart & I'm still ahead of the game after doing 22 tires and 4 TPMS battery changes (light flashes, then goes solid). I could never get the install end of the bar to work and finished the tires with tire levers, which is fine, specially if you are short on room or have nice rims. I did come up with a cheap home made bar that works just like the fancy tire machines. The Mk4 version works well. I bought a bubble balancer, but it was poorly made in so many ways, I gave up on it. If you want to see my long journey, click on my picture, go to playlists check out the tire changing one Keep it up, you are doing great
Awesome! Will do. Thank you
Great video...thank you
No problem! I'm happy to do it. I hope it helped.
Nice! Are the new bulbs LED´s? If they are, how do i know which way to turn them to get the polarity right?
Actually, the new bulbs are basic incandescent, so there is no need for specific polarity. I wanted LED, but then I would have to do all of them, so the match color and brightness, lol. I did do a vehicle of mine in the past with full LED, and the polarity DID matter. I was basically careful with the open unit while I tried both options until the light illuminated. Once they all worked, then I simply reassembled. Thank you for the support and questions! I hope this helped. Feel free to ask anything!
@@Ron_5219 Than´s for your answer! I think i am going to give it a try with LED´s. It shold not be that hard if i use a 12 volt power adaptor and mark the LED´s and the circuit board first. I have tried to find new buttons for the on board computor because the text is gone but i havent been able to find them. Do you know if it is possible to get them somewhere?
Huge apologies! I didn't even realize this response until I was just going over them! I hope you do give it a shot with the LEDs, I did it in the past on another vehicle, and the results were very rewarding. As far as what bulbs to use... I used "T10" LED bulbs and had to carefully disassemble them off the little plastic housings they come on. Then, I discovered the correct polarity, followed by solidering them to the back of the clister board. I'm sure different applications could vary... but I encourage the efforts!! Sorry again for just reaching out. I hope this helps. Please get back to us with the results.
@@Ron_5219 No worries! I will order a set and give it a try!! Thank`s for taking the time to answer!!
Your WK looks really good. That bar mount turned out really nice. I like that it sits pretty close to the body! Looking forward to the video of the climat control lights. Mine are also dead.. Did you have to mount spacers to fit the 275s? Best regards/ Jimmy (new subscriber!)
Thanks a ton for the subscription! I aimed for it to be as close as possible to the roofline for a sleeker look. I was thinking of applying the same headlight/taillight tint on the bar as well, making it a bit less grabbing to the eye. Actually, no, I didn't use spacers, although I did have to cut out a bulge on the rear section in each front liner. Behind it is a pinch weld, I simply took a mini sledge hammer and knocked it flat. Only needed a rough 12" of it flattened to clear the tread at full lock.
@@Ron_5219 Thank´s for the answer! I have Bilstein 5100 on my WK. The front ones are at the highest setting with stock springs. In the rear i have a 3 inch lift spacer with stock springs. It should be possible to mount 285´s if i do the pinch weld mod then.. 🤔
I'd say go for it! Remember... the 1st set of numbers is the width, and the 2nd is the side wall height ( the number is the percentage of the width ). LMK how it turns out!
What nefarious things are goin' on behind that door that's boarded up? Good looking box.
