I own the small one and the larger one on top of the Thule paramount convertible for 15" laptops.
I can't praise this brand enough, such sturdy and high quality materials, i carry it on me literally every day.
The smaller one is for the literal every day usage items while the larger one only carrys all my laptop specific stuff and only comes along if i also pack my laptop.

I think the mesh pocket is better for holding your phone cos sometimes phones heate up while charging
