      Side by Side pouch - it lacks padding on the outside but the stretch material accommodates larger items. It is not flat with a squarish cross section but at 10x8cm and long at 27cm fits more than larger flat pouches I tried. My Microsoft Bluetooth mouse is small but high and sits next to the four way usb socket charger with a Euro plug pins. UK wall plugs really make it bulge out. Small dongles and two camera batteries inside the zip up internal pocket. USB C hub so I can attach external hard drive and transfer from SD/microSD cards. next to camera battery charger in the long pocket. More strap elastics than I currently need but spare for clips and connectors.
      When first filling it out I thought it would not have large enough capacity for additions I might need and that the mis-shape bumpy bits would be cumbersome. Neither has proved to be an issue. It will not hold my over larger battery charger or my pocket 2.5" drive or camera lenses but they are better off looked after separately.

      For everyday use, I just have my tech stuff in a zippered, hard-sided sunglasses case. I don't carry that many things for daily use, so it works quite nicely. For when I'm carrying my laptop, the extra stuff that I need with it fits into another zippered sunglasses case. I do want to try one of these tech pouches though. They look quite useful.

    Love these videos and geared up accordingly for a trip to NZ back in March. Unfortunately, the week before we were supposed to leave, NZ imposed a two-week quarantine, so we ended up not going. I’ve been using my gear for shorter (road) trips and am loving the organization and resulting convenience. Especially love my variety of Tom Bihn bags.

    Lately my favorite is the waterfield gear pouch. It’s slim but holds quite a bit. Feels good and I grabbed the red ones while they had them. Not to mention with the zipper locking when down is a really nice feature that keeps it from sliding open. Also the design where it zips across the top and one side all the way down mean I have no problem seeing what I have inside.

    I love the idea of tech pouches and have multiple myself lol... but I always struggle with how to actually make use of it. Anytime I'm travelling with my laptop and phone, I'll always have my backpack, and the panel organization is where I want most things I'd see advertised as going in a pouch. It's all stuff I want access to. I guess if someone has a more complicated tech loadout than 99% of people would carry, packing away secondary mice, cables, etc might make sense? Or I guess, in theory, if you like having one primary mouse, notebook, pen/pencil set that you bring between work and home? But all of these scenarios seem like less ideal workarounds to just having a bag that functions for your needs. That said.... always in the market for a new one lol

      Using my macbook for more than 30 minutes without a mouse is torture for me, despite the enormously superior intuitive quality of the touchpad fitted to MacBooks. In addition, even in simple and everyday life, you have to place the laptop charger/cable somewhere when you're not using it (my macbook lasts more than 15 hours on battery), the phone charger/cable , the USB-A/USB-C adapters, the headsets and also earphonesin-ear headphones with there wires, the wireless mouse charging cable (and even the mouse itself if you're on the move), SD cards, etc. etc

    For me, its a life hack: I use the packing cube that i've already had (the recycle firefghter pouch) with a coccon grid-it. Its the same dimensions of the packing cube, I can arrange the way I want and it was only $12. No need to worry if your battery pack or charger will fit or if you lose your USB drive in a pocket, since the elastic bands adapts to the different sizes.

    • @luisinhocol
      @luisinhocol Před 3 lety

      I agree. I got it a la carte when the “Travel Line” was on KickStarter, but it’s one of the few KS rewards for which I’d gladly pay the retail price! It holds every dongle, earbud, and short to normal charging cable. If you’ve got PC accessories big enough to not fit in any of the many pockets/slots (e.g., over-the-ear headphones), you’ll need a dedicated case for ‘em.

I think it's a big miss on your channel, as lots of technologies and designs came to the tourist industry directly from the military industry. All the above cases/pouches that you mention in the video are too expensive in relation to the electronic material they may carry.
    The average price is around 30 to 50 euros or more expensive. I would like to see a video with cheap cases/pouches that cost around 20 to 30 euros, or maybe less ;)
