Thanks for showing the comparison of focal range from 24-200. A lot of reviewers don’t show the comparison so it’s hard to gauge how much zoom it has by just the numbers
I've had the 3, 4, 6 and now the 7. Every time I've sold it because I felt I shouldn't have 2 different cameras. Every time I've regretted the decision and bought the new model. This camera is awesome for street photography and multi day trekking holidays.
Video quality looks insane
BTW, ND filters are also essential for shooting video. Often, in harsh sunlight, you cannot get your shutter speed low enough to enable video shooting wide open, even at the lowest ISO in order to shoot using the 180 degree rule. In other words, videos are often shot at 24 or 30 fps. This means your shutter speed in video should be 1/(2*fps), or 1/50s for 24fps and 1/60s for 30fps. The only way to be able to shoot at these low shutter speeds in high ambient light is by employing an ND filter. I have the aftermarket filter system on my RX100M7 and it works fine, and when not in use, I literally cannot tell the adapter is on the lens.

I really like this camera and recommend it. I has the sensor of it's bigger brother the RX10-4. If anyone gets I recommend at least one spare battery, tiny camera, equals tiny battery; and maybe 2. just in case. And last but not least, get the plastic grip, it costs like $20. I am mystified why Sony does not include the grip for such an expensive camera.
Two concerns of mine I don't know if mentioned; external mike and stabilization effectiveness? Thx!!😊
Can suggest you may be forgetting to x the fstop value to equivalent 35mm. Eg: f4 equats to f11 and f11 is about f22. Cheers
I am looking to go lighter as I walk/hike a lot with my Nikon Z6. I’m almost 71 and it’s gettin harder to lug my Z with a 24-120lens around. My friend has this camera for the same reasons and he loves it. I have not purchased it yet. Any idea if there will be a Mark viii?
Seems that Sony are concentrating on the ZV range. There is a bit of cross over there. A VIII has potential though.
Can I buy a grip that doesn't jut out from the side of this camera?

Well, it only has a 1 inch sensor. Full frame > APS-C > Micro 4/3 > 1 inch. So... yeah, it's not going to perform as well as larger sensors but the 20mp sensor is still outstanding especially given the size and additional features. No issues printing up to 11x14 or 17x20.

@@JohnB551 To the average observer the iPhone pics would probably look better, keep in mind though that those are using computational photography that is applying all sorts of corrections and adjustments to "fill in the gaps" to create a "pretty picture". The end result is basically a photoshopped image since 99% of consumers aren't editing their photos later on. I'm only an amateur and I've taken tens of thousands of iPhone photos, but I'm still looking at this camera for something with a soul.

Either you have a damaged device or this camera is a piece of crap. After all, all the photos presented in this video are blurry.
