I have no problem talking in front of people. Doesn’t matter at what level.
I talked in front of everything from third graders to general managers.
The preparation is key to every single presentation. Even if it’s the same presentation for the 20th time.
100%! Preparation makes everything so much better.
And I just can’t believe that presenting to leadership should make you nervous…
Especially if you are an executive!
I mean you know your topic and you had had some years making it into an executive position…
It takes more to make me nervous than a group of individuals.
And I just hold it here!

@@Hans_Magnusson From our experience everyone is different and there are many reasons and situations that can cause someone to feel nervous. Some examples:
> Many people are asked to present to senior leadership before they're executives or even managers. They may not have had such an important audience before.
> Others can be promoted to executive positions because they have exceptional knowledge and expertise. But prior to the promotion they rarely had to present before. This happens a lot in industries like IT, Engineering, and Medical Research.
> Or you could be asked to present on something you don't know a lot about. Like a competitor that releases a new technology to the market and you're given just a day to prepare a presentation on it and how your team intends to respond.
Honestly, the list is endless.

Hi Haïdee! Lots of options for you: we have loads of videos to help you deal with nerves, rehearsal strategies, and how to feel more prepared. We also offer private coaching to help you get expert feedback. If the price is out of your budget then run your presenation by any trusted colleagues, friends, or family members whose opinion/expertise you respect/trust, and ask if they mind hearing your presentation and giving you feedback. You can first start by recording yourself and watching it back - it'll be super hard to watch because we're are always our own worst critic but after a few more tries you'll 100% see improvement. For future reference we also hold "Rehearsal Bootcamps" where you can give 5-10 minutes of your presentation and get feedback from one of our Moxie Master Trainers but it's too late to attend one before next week. No matter what you do, the #1 advice is to practice the presentation again and again! Only memorize the most important/key points, the rest you can just talk to, trust yourself! The more familiar you are with the presentation the easier it will be to deliver and the more confident you'll feel and come across. You got this!
