32 0z chicken stock (or more depending on how much you’re making)
3 1/2 cups elbow pasta
8 cups of cheese of choice
2 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
3 eggs
3/4 cup sour cream
Seasonings such as paprika, salt , pepper ( taste as you mix and adjust the seasonings! )
1 stick of butter ( plus a little
More to grease the pan)
Notes* only cook the pasta until it still has a little bite to it about 7-8 minutes .. the pasta will continue to cook once it is placed in the oven to bake *

After eating my fill and sharing. I cut into individual pieces then put into plastic freezer Ziploc bags to freeze.
Thaw out over night in the refrigerator how much you want.
It was just as good if not better, I guess because the flavors had time to marinate together.

I used about half a cup more pasta than she did but I highly suggest this mixture. It was AMAZING. Dont forget to buy blocks and shred it yourself. Huge difference in quality.

Update: YOOOO. This is literally the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted/made! All I did was make a tester (half this recipe) to confirm if I’d still bring it to Thanksgiving, and I promise you will not regret it. The original recipe is already great by itself, but I opted for smoked paprika instead of regular and added some mustard to the egg mixture. It is sooooo good and I can’t wait until Thursday!

I just want to say that the comments did not lie. This was my second time making mac & cheese for my very honest and picky family. My first one with another recipe received mixed reviews, wasn't bad but wasn't like my grandma’s. But THIS one here received 10/10’s all around. I will be saving and making this recipe forever, and I can half way remember it by heart because Danni is so entertaining lol I used just Sharp Cheddar and Mozzarella because provolone was out and it turned out just as tasty.

I've used a big cast iron like hers, also a white corningware dish and it also looked fine. Going to try it today with an aluminum pan, and I'm going to set timer for less time, and. Just keep an eye on it.

So sis...where have you been my whole life. I’ve had to make this macaroni and cheese three times this holiday season. Made it to see what you were werking with. My neighbor who hates Mac and cheese killed it. Then had a dinner party and they were inviting neighbors over to eat it. Their children ate more of this deliciousness than the main course. Then doubled the recipe for my nurses...left with an empty Dutch oven. They had the admitting doctors come and respiratory therapist coming to try it. I have to make it two more times for December and afraid it might be more. I’ve made the chicken salad and this amazing recipe. I’m sold and always a fan!
