  • @sensiblewheels

    Since I have my driving test before your live stream on Saturday, I'd like to ask you a question.
    There's a single lane, which becomes two, before the lights. The right lane is for turn right only and the left lane is to go straight only.
    My question is, if the right lane is completely full of vehicles, is it okay for me to wait in the straight ahead lane (before the lane splits) and hold back traffic?
    This is especially a problem in rush hour and I often think about how I can handle this better.

    • @DaneTygheletsdrive
      @DaneTygheletsdrive  Před 3 lety

      I'm struggling to visualise the junction, normally it's best to not block the straight lane, try to keep right as much as possible before the lane splits. But it's difficult to answer because I haven't seen the junction.

    • @DaneTygheletsdrive
      @DaneTygheletsdrive  Před 3 lety

      If you like it and it feels right then go for it, Honda are generally very reliable. Bit old though and tax might be expensive.

    • @sensiblewheels
      @sensiblewheels Před 3 lety

      @@DaneTygheletsdrive About €280 to tax. Not too bad I'd say. I prefer Hondas, Toyotas and Suzukis because I've worked on them and they're generally cheap and easy to work on by yourself, without ever needed to go into to a repair shop.(I'm not a mechanic! But I've picked up the skill and I love working on cars)
      I've done a lot of research (ownership and maintenance costs for various models) past few months, do let me know if you need any of it if you're working on the video!
      This is however, only suitable to people willing to work on their own cars, who are unfortunately in the absolute minority.

      Should be fine, if it's only reminding you of a service due then there's no problem. Depends on the tester though. If there was a problem with the airbag or the oil then that's a big issue. What does your instructor say about this warning light?
