It's the Vlogmas time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Follow all of us as we get the chateau ready for a spectacular French Christmas.
Each day will be filled with decorating, cooking, gift buying, carol singing and discovering ancient Christmas traditions from around the world.
Stephanie, that you did all of this while worried about your mother makes it even more special. Thank you!

I’m truly happy Amaury and Nattie are getting together and very visibly extremely happy about it! I believe they’re perfectly matched: both lived a bit, have learned about life, intelligent and reliable (she practically runs that chateau, and just look at that workshop and the task he’s been set). both have a great sense of humour, but most of all they seem to be a prime example of ‘beautiful inside and out’. Be happy Nattie and Amaury, and how wonderful if it’s to be forever🥰

I just realized now why Amaury brought in the whole workshop - we all thought he wanted to be fully prepared for the paneling project, but really it is a full on relocation for love! What a score for Stephanie and LeLande. Family and amazing carpentry talent.

About a year and a half ago, I asked Mummy in the chat during a première if she could speak Occitan. She was kind enough to respond. I am a linguist and I love learning about all languages. The L'Angue D'Oc is fascinating, as is the history of the area. The Albegensian Heresy, the Inquisition and slaughter of the Cathars. When drinking wine from the region I cannot help but think of the blood that soaked the ground there. I noticed "Go Blue!" I worked at UofM years ago and went to MSU for my undergrad. Go State!

Thank The Good Lord that Mummy and Percy are ok and that Mummy has fully recovered. You must have been beside yourself with worry. As for love at LeLande, it’s in abundance and from the outset the spark between Amaury and Natti was there for all to see. Those ladies adventure at the thrift store had me laughing hysterically and then to see the creepy clown painting and the story that was told was the best. They are a hoot! Glad to hear that your mum and Percy are well.
The POWER of CZcams.... The chateau was a bonus, but I think that CZcams has made Stephanie the center of her world in her life, and we are all just enjoying the ride. I can remember her stories about being there alone during the winter and wondering what her life was about........ well.... Exhibit A....... I can't imagine what it would be like to go to sleep and wake up every day knowing that a world of spectators are waiting for their day to be enlightened by 1 person and what she does to entertain and support our spirits during these hard and difficult times. Please live your life and allow us to enjoy all you wish to share. I look forward to seeing more projects in the future.
So true! Stephanie has a special flair or light that appeals so well on camera. But that is just a teeny bit of why she’s what she is. Her skill, charismatic, humbleness comes across so genuine, we cannot help to fall in love with her. Her ability to just have such gusto and passion for her chateau and the true love for her home, a chateau that isn’t the most beautiful, but she saw it and knew she had to bring this chateau all prettied up. So many projects but look forward to each project.

Aw, wow. Occitan! Some of mother's family, that lived in Quebec, spoke Occitan. I had totally forgotten that story. Your mother and Percy's love story just warms my heart. I'm over 50 and alone in a country I wasn't born it or really wanted to live in.

I am so thankful for you that your Mom is O.K. My Mom is her age (although much more fragile due to a botched hip surgery) that we still live a fairly cloistered life to try and shield her from the virus as much as possible. P.S. My father who is only slightly younger that your mother remembers his parents and grandparents "speaking" in the local Burgundian patois. He can still remember many of those words.

Stephanie, thank you for bringing such joy to my life. I've had such a trying holidays filled with cancelled and ruined plans and my mother recovering from chemo treatments for lung cancer. Being able to escape everyday to Lalande and be with such warm and wonderful people has been a lifesaver ❤️

Here in canada we do the same initiative in the holidays the food bank always run out and we have in Québec guinolée and you just add 1-2 items in your weekly food purchase and build a box and give them to the food bank, ut doesn’t affect your own money and help so many people. Manna... was the bread of life, daily left for the Israelites whilst they were being lead through the desert. Food from Heaven, Food of the Angels, that kept the Israelites alive. Also they were taught lessons of appreciation through it as well.

Damn, I've been so afraid for Isabelle in S Africa, she's my mother's age, sadly my Mom passed away 3 years ago to cancer on Thanksgiving, now France is the second worst country in the world behind the UK for new covid cases.... Merry Christmas to all from Paris!

I knew it! Those 2 were holding hands last episode. And I was like, I see what’s going on 😂. I’m just happy to see everyone experiencing happiness. It’s not easy during these times to date. I started dating my guy this fall. After a few interesting guys, this one gives me peace.
