- manchester fans waved this banner around a few times while the stewards and police did nothing it should have been taken off the scum
it was like waving a red flag to a bull. if leeds united did something like this the press would have a field day.and the man holding the banner is wearing a turkey shirt - Sport
This is disgusting....despicable how people cant take the deaths of 2 innocent family men who have children aged 5 who will never see there fathers again. A mother to grow up alone raising there kids mourning her families loss. Sometimes this country and people make me sick, When tragedys happen as a country we should come together and fight anyone! I do feel sorry for any decent Leeds (Scum) fans out there and especially the families of the murdered fans but after years of being abusive to Rangers, Bradford, Liverpool and any other club who have suffered a disaster there will always be some who will take great satisfaction from cheering and chanting about Istanbul !!

Few years back went to Millwall Leeds and the same stuff went n then. There was a minute silence for a boy died in local area and Leeds were shouting and swearing during thje silence which was a disgrace. Later a Millwall fan pulled out a Turkish flag and started waving it about and started singing songs of Istanbull.
They shouted 'Instanbul', but we bounced right back with 'Munich' :)

The Leeds fans started insulting United by songs about Munich, but the United fans couldn't have known that Leeds would do that. They made a banner before the match, thats much more disrespectful than what the leeds fans did.
Don't get me wrong, im not saying that what the leeds fans did was a good thing, but i think they were less 'wrong'.

As a man utd im pretty disgusted at that. Yet it doesnt excuse the stupid behaviour of Leeds Fans during this match.. Yes they're against man utd and there's that ancient war of the roses feud, but there are times when u take things way too far. Throwing bottles at United fans as they enter and singing 'always look on the runway..' an obvious reference to the munich disaster is hardly something 'better' fans do. Yes football is a passionate game, but its just that, a game.......

Like most decent fans I'm appalled by this kind of thing but I'm utterly amazed that Scum fans are surprised that United fans would want to wind them up. Scum have been doing this for 45 year or more so what do they expect ? Do they think United fans are not going to give them some back ?
Istanbul was an absolute tragedy but some fans out there will regard it as The Scum's Hillsborough , Bradford or Ibrox moment. This is totally sick but sadly it's taken something like this to happen for some of the neanderthals who follow The Scum to think about how these nasty chants make other people feel as they now have exprienced for themselves how hurtful they can be.

I live in Leeds and support united. Always have and always will. But when shit like this happens, it makes you lose hope in the game. Makes the minority look major which is a shame. These idiots need to have some respect. It could have been anyone of them or us that were killed in those tragic incidents.

It's the sad pathetic fans that take football way to seriously, that gives football a bad name. nNot all fans are like this. Don't judge a club by some of It's fans. @iiMCadbury Nah. Liverpool have more European Cups, Uefa Cups and Supercups and English League Cups. United have 1 more League and more Fa Cups, they also edge the head to head record. In a way both teams are on a par, literally. United are the most succesful team in terms of trophies won in England but Liverpool have more in Europe. Liverpool were also founded at a later date and have won more tropheis within a smaller time period.
