They terrible they win all these low d1 non conference games to start the year play a top school in a tournament play decent vs them and then they when they play in conference play they lose a lot of those games the big east isn’t even a that tough of a conference either

Awesome to see this team work hard and come back. The ability to come back is what champions are made of. Now that the super star spotlight is off of us I feel like we can take it advantage of it and become a consistent, synergistic unit this year if we continue to show tough composure like we did tonight.

Coming from a Duke fan, I’m honestly liking this years team, last year we was more run and gun, freakish athleticism, dominant 1 on 1 iso players, transition dunks etc, but this years team is way more fundamentally sound, team ball, balanced scoring, and their team defense really approved a lot from last year and I think this years team play style is more of coach K’s element. Natty bound this year I think 🤫
This is one of my favorite teams since 2002, because they play defense!!! This is the best defensive team I have seen in 15+ years

Good start. Georgetown gave them quite a scare, but sadly couldn’t pull off what would’ve been another upset on the no. 1 team.
I wouldn't say, to much of a scare in the 2nd half.

Tommye Bunn lol this third grade retort might work if GU didn’t look like the better, more physical, more athletic team and if this wasn’t the clear cut, consensus most poorly officiated game of 2019-2020. As in it is today and there won’t be any worse this year. I’m not blaming the officials for the job they did because clearly they just lack the basic fundamentals of their profession. Quite frankly I’ve watched every Duke-GU matchups since 2006 and this game had more bad, crucial calls than all the other matchups combined. Maybe only 1-2 favored Duke. There were 5-8 crucial calls against GU that wouldn’t have been called the night before or in any game where the refs were just counting on base game salary
Coach K is the best to ever do it. Love watching him embrace Patrick Ewing knowing Patrick has so much respect for him. That's a win for Ewing. Especially since he has to go through life looking like Michele Obama. lol

He's a volume shooter at best. When he's on he a beast but when he not he just looks lost everywhere on the court. Those fouls last night were weak and he prolly woulda put up like 18 had he played more. But he got the whole season to go off. People need to get off his dick tho I know he hates his fanclub
Ewing doesn't see Mac as any more than some offensive juice for Georgetown.
He's not trying to develop Mac as a lead guard.
Mac needs minutes at the point or when he leaves Georgetown he won't have a shot at the NBA.
bigstink9 he not a PG man. You expect Patrick Ewing a HOF center to teach Mac how to be a floor general. He in his 2nd year of college man either you are or you're not. He'll def be at Gtown a year or two longer than Akinjo maybe then he can take on the point guard duties. But the reason he wont is because unlike james Mac can't beat the trap or press with his handles. Nobody got time to be using real games as moments to teach. Patrick does not feel comfortable with a guard dominated offense. Mac is a scorer on the wing. Patrick wants the ball pounded in the post. The moment Mac gets a little out of control or does to much he pulls him. He has a short rope on Mac. Mac would have done better to have gone to a different program, not because I think that Patrick is prejudice against Mac but because I don't think he is comfortable with his style of play. Patrick doesn't feel like he has as much control of the game when Mac has the ball in his hands.

What the hell is Mac doing out of the game! When he's hot, he's the best scorer Georgetown has. He's not always hot, but to have a shot at Duke you got to put him out there and let him play aggressively.
