If anybody have told me that this Wolfpack team would win 10 straight games to get to the final four, I would have been shocked. DJ Burns and DJ Horne both have been extremely aggressive and tough in the 2nd half. Monumental win for Coach Keatts and N.C. State
That burns kid is incredibly smooth and FAST with his Shaq pivot to the basket. Can go either way. Really impressive. And such a surprise. You don’t expect it at all.
Too bad he'll foul out vs edey..
I really thought Keatts would be let go after this season! This has been the most exciting team to watch!

It’s wild. Hands down the best combined day of basketball in my alma mater’s history. The 1983 survive and advance men’s championship only saw the women’s team make it to the Sweet Sixteen.
I love how both NC State's men and womens made it to the final 4 while being underestimated. They even scored the same amount of points in their games today.
In the sweet sixteen, they both played a 2 seed and their games started nearly the exact same time. At one point, both games had the exact same score at the same time

NC State isn’t my team, but I wouldn’t say anything is beyond their ability at this point. I’m trying to figure out how, just how, NC State lost 7 of 9 to end the regular season. They are legitimately VERY good.

Better guards, a big man that weighs as much as Edey, but is 7 inches shorter, Burns can knock him off balance, no one else has been able to do that. NC State is a more cohesive and complete team across the board IMO. If Edey has a slightly off game... NC State will win by double digits IMO.

@@crzycolchriswatch Burns’ hands while he defends the post, he literally keeps his hands down to his side so you can’t call foul on him. He’s stronger than Edey so it’s not gonna be easy for Edey to get to his spots but Burns definitely lacks some stamina and agility that Edey has. It’ll be a fun matchup to watch for sure.

@@kja6336right. They were lucky to even get this far. Being beat by UNC both times and then getting beat by nc state twice as well. If dook made the final four we can mostly say they’d get whooped by Purdue. You can get lucky a couple times but teams will get exposed eventually
Nc state is lucky lol Duke is skilled Duke has been good all year nc state got lucky against Virginia to bank a shot in to go to overtime Duke was top 10 all year pretty much beating every one but unc

Yea in the second half a lot of it was free throws cuz Duke had to foul last two minutes it was 62 52 with 2 min left
They really scored about 44 not counting the intentionall free throws from Duke by fouling 45 pints in a half still impressive

Crazy thing is that to win the national championship in '83 we had to win 9 games, including the ACC tournament, two to go. Who else was on the brick yard on April 4, 1983.

I was there, got the t-shirt, and watched the bonfire on Hillsborough Street.
I was there the weekend prior for the semifinal win. Bonfire, people on roofs of business on Hillsborough!! Incredible. 31 of us were spending night at hotel on Hillsborough on way to Basic Training at Ft. Knox. Didn’t even get to watch the final. What a year that was. One special night of freedom before getting 3&1/2 months of military misery.

Been following this Pack team since the ACC semis. That upset against UVA and the foreseeable beatdown on UNC, I knew this Pack team were contenders... making it to the Final Four is just gravy on the biscuits 👌🏾

I picked NC State to win it all simply because I live near Raleigh…..this is what can happen when a group 100% believe in one another.
One thing I love about Nc State is all their players are stepping up. The announcers are talking about Burns and then Middlebrooks or Horne make a big play.
I took them at 60 to 1 before sweet sixteen. I wonder what their odds were before tourney started!! Let’s goo NC State!

I think State will match up well against Purdue. Eddy will be a force..but thats pretty much who purdue relies on you get big man a few fouls early it will be bench time for him. State is on a roll. I am a big fan and have been all of my 50 years...never would i have thought this team would have won the ACC championship and then be in the final 4.. kinda reminds me of a team back in 1983.. no one took seriously until they kept winning..
