- Following a tumultuous launch, and our fairly mixed opinions in the full review, the Traxion team came to a unanimous decision - the best part about the new Forza Motorsport is the online multiplayer.
Pause the dreary Builders Cup, the ranked racing has a lot more potential. Which is why we wanted to provide a brief run-through of how it works, with some pointers, plus the tanking system and then provide a review for Forza Motorsport’s (8) Featured Multiplayer.
Watch as we take to the internet-connected track in a Forza GT Series spec event followed by a Formula Mazda Series event and as we do, discuss the pros and cons of Turn 10 Studio’s latest racer for Microsoft.

Don’t get murdered in turn 1
While the multiplayer system is good, I don't understand why the spec events have such bad balancing. For the TCs they just made the Golf (the car pass car) clearly OP, it's the only car that has been upgraded, and for GTs the Audi is just so much faster and easier to drive than the rest.
I know balancing takes time and it's a thing that is subject to change, but the car pass car being faster than the rest really rubs me the wrong way.
Yes, T10 controls all the online racing, and limits the car selection and rules - allowing their DLC cars to be P2W.
If you don’t want to always reset your dead zones go to input and create a custom layout. Adjust the dead zones once. The one thing you do need to do at the moment is each time you turn the game on just go to input and select your custom layout file, that way all your dead zones are where they were left previously. Saves a lot of time. 👍
The battle in the single seaters was a lot of fun to watch
The game is better than GT7 only one update I cannot wait for the future of this game….multiplayer is already a much better experience Forza looking good 👍🏼

It's a shame there's no VR support planned for PC. I get it's not a full sim but they're aiming for a simcade like experience. Considering the similarly simcadey F1 games have it it's kind of a headscratcher.
Hey love your vids any chacne we could get a video on which gt3 cars are best suited for whom now? I was off of iracing for 2 years and my old ferrari is not used anymore afaik
I think its a good game, I am enjoying it. I quite like the career format it makes a change. Good times for console players with this and GT7. I think the PC version needs some work but early days.
PC needs some bug fixes. But the graphics is 10x better than series x
But they are good on xbox so thats all I need@@abuelb
Check other views for the hud mirror, i.e. the mirror in the top middle area. I use the hood cam or bumper cam and those two views have the aforementioned mirror.
Any chance we can see more vids of this little, fun open-wheel car but with a proper cockpit view instead of almost a t-cam view? Would look really cool and immersive.
I’m having more fun now post update in single player than previously but the penalty system needs some tinkering.
I have not gone into Multiplayer yet. The Qualifying series is rather long as well.
However the Volkswagen from the car pass seems unfair.
Tire compound online also seems to be Medium Medium with little reason to stray from that. This needs to be sorted out.

Reducing Lv for key unlocks is great mind you you still have to farm up enough car experience if you wish to build a car for a certain class.
This is to prevent people from simply all-wheel-drive, swapping and engine swapping immediately upon getting level 25.
This is now the minimum level to get the car parts unlocked for most of the vehicles.
The grind is now for car experience itself V.S. Parts AND Experience which I prefer to the pre update system.
wdym the qualifying series is rather long? you play only 3 races no?
Your wheel looks super sensitive. Little tip for fanatec dd. Set your wheel rotation to max and adjust oer car
good game in general . need some work but should be great after a few updates. main issue is losing safety rating for getting hit ,spinning out and hitting a car cause of the spin. also a lot of nasty punts into the side when passing usually doesn't penalise the punter and sometimes penalises the one getting hit. think penalties need to be increased a bit as well at least while the game is newish to really force people to learnt to drive cleaner. 2.5 secs penalty is nothing when the guy being spun out lost 30 or so sometimes
would you see better in bumper view?
It seems like your wheel is oscillating a lot. I think you should tweak ffb settings as the physics on a wheel for me are fairly sim like once settings are dialed in
I agree. Single-player is dull. I have a very decent PC but opt to play on Series S as performance on PC can be horrible. Multiplayer is brilliant though. Every time I think " Just one more race" and end up spending hours racing.
I’d also highly recommend turning on track limits, you can gain a lot of time knowing exactly where the track limit is
Yes, I've thinking about that. Too often get a penalty I didn't expect or seeing other cars cut a corner without penaties.
Dude it's the white line - easy enough to see. That said, T10 don't know the rules - all 4 wheels are meant to be fully over the line, but you get penalised even if you have a wheel fully on the track. Racing line is all you need.
The game is good, and will be very good in a few months to a year when it's fleshed out. Perfect simcade for PC.
Annoying, when you go into practice or qualify it gives you control of the car at full speed, right before a corner.
I’m a big GT7 on VR player but have really enjoyed the multiplayer format. I’m console only and don’t want the expense of a PC despite having a full rig. This game will have me coming back for the varied multiplayer, the format is better than GT7’s imo.
However, the single player could and should have been so much better. Had to do the first builders cup 5 times because it kept crashing on the last race load. Urgh
I just cant get it to run looking nice on pc without stressing the cpu/gpu out and it only looks a bit better then acc on xbox s...
I really do enjoy the multiplayer and hope this is the standard from now on.
Hoping for updates that optimize the game more (last update helped)

My biggest concern with GT and FM is the fact that controller and wheel players are competing with each other in master races. It is not a fair race at all. The big tournaments should be divided between controller and wheel players.
There's no saving grace. No saving it at all, it's DOA. The MP has no user created events, just T10's limited events - if you want to race a specific car or track or a series of races, tough, you can't. Also, it's shunt or be shunted - fair racing will get you rammed till you're last. Everyone cheats, and T10 has no 'ghost' car events to avoid shunting. Safety Rating mean NOTHING, if you are S or D all races are ram-fests. Also, T10's event rules/limits are so obscure that it's impossible to know what tuning or upgrades are allowed, so you can't prepare - and if you do your tune will get reset to default anyway. Terrible game. No content or modes. Shell of FM4 on 360.
Wheel support is terrible and multiplayer is just a bunch of clowns running into each other

Yeah, the skill and safety rating are clearly not working as intended. I see videos like this with good clean racing, but my experience has been atrocious even with a mid 4000's skill rating and an S safety rating. Just a bash fest.
8:30 Worst track ever - like a path through a country park.
I just know the game has the worst single player experience I've ever had to experience out of Forza Motorsport so far. I'm happy I didn't trust Turn 10 and didn't buy the game. Gamepass is good for things like this.
