Imagine making it to 67 and not being able to get signed. I feel bad for my guy KJ he's still so great and yet underrated
It's not that he isn't able; he has at least two offers (LVR & SEA) on the table. Apparently, he's weighing options.
@@frigglefragglewaggit6923 Well, the one from Seattle is likely a backup/rotational LB position. WLB (what Wright traditionally plays) is now filled by our 1st rnd pick - Brooks. SLB (what Wright played last year to make room for Brooks) is now being played by our 2nd rnd pick Taylor. So unless the Raiders are offering a starter position (unlikely if KJ is torn between the Raiders v Seahawks), then 'poocrafter' has a point -- Wright made it to #67, not only isn't he signed yet, but he may be a BACKUP LB going into the 2021 season. RIP
It's because he's aging and losing a step compared to a few years ago. Still a good player though so he'll sign somewhere just not for the amount he's asking for

This guy is pure instinct and hustle. Can play all the LB positions. He is absolutely perfect for the Raiders and can set this D up for the next few years with his knowledge.

Shoulda been on the top 100 years ago. He was always overshadowed by all the great players we had on defense in that era (Sherm, Kam, Earl, B-Wagz, Mike Bennett, Avril, Frank Clark). Good to see him get some shine 👍🏼

@@WKFootballShorts No it's because there isn't the money in the market for any team to pay a 31 year old what KJ deserves. Unfortunately he is going to have to a pretty massive pay cut to what he is worth to play this year. Versatility is key in this NFL but in this case it hurts KJ that he plays different spots.

Kj Wright means so much to me as a Seahawks fan. A fantastic player that never got recognized as such. So many great moments and plays he's made throughout his career here. I'm so glad he's stayed in Seattle for so long

this stings right here...as a WFT fan this cat was #1 on my LB free agent wishlist and he's considered the 67'th best player in the whole league and we haven't brought him in for a daggone visit to upgrade our unit...something seems off that he's still a free agent.

KJ played hungry for a new contract. But maybe too well. He's always been that dude though. If your team has a young LB with potential, you need to sign KJ immediately. One of the smartest LB. You don't run any type of screens his way. He has spider senses and blows up your receiver or running back if you run it his way.

I can say what everybody else is saying and tell you he's underrated, but if we resign him (hopefully), just wait for your team to play the Hawks and you'll understand why we say that. He's the 3rd best player on our defense, arguably 2nd at times. He's been a constant for us

Wright doesn't want to be a backup LB; he wants to be a starter. The Seahawks starters at LB are - Brooks (WLB), Wagner (MLB), and Taylor (SLB). Wright is either a backup or he goes elsewhere. The only way I see Wright signing with the Hawks is if Brooks or Taylor get injured.

Last season was actually one his best and that means something. I really hope Seattle signs him again...dont want him on the opposite side of the line.
Another thing not mentioned is his ability to read a play. So many screens and other types of plays he will constantly sniff out.
