Please use a secondary support other than relying on that winch to hold the buggy up. I’m hoping you do.. big boy at 3:50 looks like he’s holding it up :)
Hi Nate... We have a sandwiched 2x10 header with 4x6's for extra support. The hoist locks in place and for safety support we have two heavy duty chains wrapped around the header to the front of the buggy in case the hoist cable would snap. It's about as safe as we could be.

Thank you for sharing.
Found it, thanks
Awesome job boys! Very cool of Factory UTV to hook y'all up! Great garage set up too! My work bench is an old washer/dryer! LMAO!!!
Thank you... We spent a day adding the hoist specifically for this video, but it was something we had been talking about doing anyhow previously. It'll come in handy for a number of things.
@@dtroff-road5427 Your not kidding, I'd love that!
My OCD kicks in every time I see a new part go on a dirty vehicle.
They need to make a form fit under plate that installes
without any add holes to drill
Aftermarket skid plates are so freaking worth it... but I agree, too labor intensive. I need one on my XMR but don't want to go through the work of putting it on lol
Could you explain where and how the oil pan got damaged???? From the video, I cannot see how that could have happened. There is cross-bracing on that rear end where the upgraded skid plate is going.
In the video you saw a cross brace over that area, but that was something a friend added after the incident. In stock form the oil pan area is completely exposed without protection other than the flimsy stock plastic skid plate over that area. We had planned to remove that added protection off video but forgot. The Talon isn't the only UTV lacking protection right there. I may end up adding the X-Brace protection to my X3 in the future.
@@dtroff-road5427 Nice to know, thanks for the clarity.... I may need to pick this up.
At 6:48, it looks like those are boxed radius arms. Where did you get them? I'm looking for some for my Talon 1000X
I just realized that they are probably billet, just powder coated red. I'm still on the hunt for some fabricated boxed high clearance radius arms for my X
Definitely a needed upgrade to the Talon. Tell Factory UTV to send us one. LOL..!! Great vid guys..!! Check us out. team wax offroad
