I think it's because Barton was on the 6 they admitted he was the player they really wanted. They also spent the extra 3rd on a guy protected to be a special teamer and rotational LB.

It was a great pick by Dallas. They moved down and got a extra pick from Detroit. Detroit overpaid by giving Dallas a 3rd round pick. Dallas needed offensive line and they got it plus 3 picks in day 2. People need to learn football before commenting.

I am a life long Cowboy fan. I have never expected them to win a Super Bowl in the past 15+ years. The Cowboys this year are a 'fringe' playoff team. The NFC is not very good. I would not be surprised if the Cowboys miss the playoffs I also wouldn't be surprised if the limp into the playoffs.
I don't care what you guys say I guarantee you they're still better than most teams in the NFC and they will make it to the playoffs again. I don't care how dumb owner it is. We'll still lose the first round but at least we'll get there better than what we can say about a lot of NFC teams.
