- This is my #stayhome project. In this episode, I use my riding and racing experience to help Mike on his track day journey. If like Mike, you would like me to analyse your riding and give you some advice, send me your video footage at sylvainguintoli@btinternet.com (via Wetransfer)

Sylvain you have revolutionised CZcams riding advice in just a month or so. Outstanding. You have taken us all to another level and proved what we all suspected. You are one of the best tutors in the biking world, as well as one of the most successful racers, and best of all one of the nicest guys to ever swing a leg over a motorcycle.
Unheard of professional to amateur level interactions here guys! Sylvain you are making huge waves here on CZcams with this kind of content. Pro-level interaction like this has never been done for ANY sport!
This is amazing! A lot of people around me hate it when I geek out about motorcycles and riding skills but the telemetry really exposes so much room for improvement. I wish they could see how much of your speed comes from science. It's so great to learn from a world-class rider to do better on track, and being safer too. Better to be a fast geek than a brave idiot, IMHO. Keep it up Sylvain! Thank you!
95% of "bikers" only knew how to wrist the throttle and don't have any idea about suspension setting, tire, geometry, riding techniques, etc. 5% who interest of this topics are 3% amateur racer (or track day guys), 1% pro racer, 1%motorcycle tuner.
Sylvian, you are a very nice person for doing this and what a great detail to choose a lap from yours where there is a moment where Mike is faster then you. I am sure all this mates will hear about this for the next two years ! :-) Keep up your great and relaxed, but informative videos!
This one time, at band camp … I meant at Donington 🤣
Beginner riders always have the most room for improvement in choosing lines and corner exit. That's definitely where I will put my focus. Thanks!
If more top riders did this type of instruction on CZcams, This could get a lot of new riders on track and get back the crowds to the sport. You really have something here
Thank you for doing that kind of videos man! Extremely helpful and you are pretty much the only person doing those kind of stuff, really showing in depth how it’s done. Amazing! Thank you and keep going please!
Sylvain! You are an absolute legend! Thank you for taking some of your vaulable time as a MotoGP-rider to teach us normal human beings more about motorcycle riding on track. It's much appreciated!
Another very helpful video! Maybe in the future you could do one talking about your process for analyzing new tracks and how to get up to speed? Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos.
Having a GP rider coaching you how to improve your riding, FOR FREE, you can't possibly get any better than this. Brilliant! Thank you Sylvain!
Some top advice from a pro.
Can I just say also respect to Neevsey who sent me here.
To get some advice from a current racer is rare.
Thanks again Sylvain.👍👏👏
all I can say is sylvain is the best for motorcycle racing.
This channel is great! Just watched all the videos in one go :) I ride a K1600 Grand America slowly and mostly two up, but acquiring knowledge from one of the best riders in the world it's awesome for me :) Getting information on how and why to use the motorcycle controls in certain ways, being constantly reminded to use the correct track and look where you want to go for sure can make me become a more efficient, safe and aware rider. Thank you for the knowledge!
What a fantastic thing Mr Guintoli is doing for riders with this channel. Absolutely brilliant info and has already corrected something I was told once which turns out to be wrong. Pushing the bike away from you out of the corners rather than moving your body back up and over to get the bike onto the fat part of the tyre. Really appreciate this information and I will be watching these videos more than once to let it sink in.
The first time I combined video with an AIM solo it exposed how much time I was losing from the delayed throttle and missed apexes. My next time out on the track I used this learning experience to knock off 8 seconds my best time by lunch. I really am thankful you're sharing this content.
I think it would be a great follow up to meet Mike and ride on track with him, Keep up the great work !
Absolutely love your videos Sylvain. Merci bien!
Great video Sylvain and good to see my mate Mike in the video!!!! Hopefully your advice won't make him too fast though ;-)
Can’t guarantee that! 😜
Sylvain, you are awesome! Even though it is someone else's lap, I can learn off your pointers. Thank you! Love this channel!
Excellent Video!!!
Thanks for posting it!!!
As usual grate content!! Keep them coming Sylvain!!
Thanks so much Sylvain for the Video.
THE BEST CHANNEL... I hope you can continue you this, once the season gets going again after Covid19
Proper interesting video sylvain, loving this videos
How lucky is Mike, having some minutes of wonderful advices from a Champion.
What an incredibly generous offer! Amazing.
Sylvain, this really was amazing, I think this was one of the first of the video I saw on your channel and it's kicked off my love for track riding all over again after 20 years away.
love your channel sylvain keep it up please :)
I didn't know how much I needed your channel in my life . Thanks for an amazing content 👍🏍️
That is brilliant, and really awesome of you to do this for people! :-)
So helpful!
This is yet another brilliant video.
Awesome. Keep it up!
Love this new series! Very helpful training for all of us who can’t ride now due to the coronavirus. Can’t wait to take this info out on the track and apply it.
Great videos Sylvain!!!...thanks for taking the time to make these for us to learn from...especially you offering to do video analysis of our laps! Merci beaucoup!!
Mate, your a legend. Just awesome what you are doing for the trackies. Thumbs up.
excellent work
Wow, very cool of you to do this! Ride safe bro.
Absolutely fantastic content Sylvain, thank you. There are certainly some good things coming out of this lockdown as it’s giving people like yourself time to do these amazing things that really help the rest of us! I too would love to see something on analysis of new circuits and ways to get up to speed quicker.
Love the content in your videos. Knowing you can walk the walk adds real weight to the information.
Este tio se merece un monumento!!!
A very interesting video once again! Great content!
This stuff is so amazing. I often saw and heard MotoGP riders looking at those kind of graphs and I didn't know how they read them. Let alonr when they said things like "I compare my telemetry with my team mate..." After watching this video, at least we understand a glimpse of what they're doing. Although of course it would be way more complicated than this.
Keep it up, educate us more about riding and MotoGP tech as well.
Very good of you to give up your time to do this for people for free you will save people thousands by showing them where they're already fast. Thanks 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
My favourite youtube channel :)
Great that you got the time to go through this.. I noticed that Mike had traffic.. which does effect your lines when someone in front is slowing u down
You explain really good bro 👍
he is giving online training and advice for free!!!???
Damn!
Better than skillshare and grammarly combined haha
Man I just wanted to thank you for the tips on the video I sent! I'm the guy from Vallelunga! Cheers mate, I'll study it!
Keep the good work in here!
Salut Sylvain, tes vidéos sont vraiment super intéressantes en plus de voir un français apprendre aux anglais çà fait toujours plaisir! Encore, encore, encore...
This is an awesome concept brother! I wish other youtuber motorcyclists could do this.
This is great. How you work data technically faster way vs your feels in the motorcycle.
Great video! Nice to see what that telemetry actually shows. I have similar data-logging on my Aprilia tuono v4 1100 and I should try to get in to it this summer :)
Hi Silvain, I really really like the content you’re putting out! Thanks for that! I hope you’d like make a video about general fitness for racing. What is your training schedule, and what way did it help you?
👑
💌 respect
Really enjoying these videos Sylvan. Brilliant videos from moto gp rider. How many others professionals would do this?? Keep them coming!!!
Surely this costs money. I hope so. If it's a mini project for stay-at-home then sure, but if you continue I think lots of guys would be interested. Not sure if it would be as good without your comparison laps (limiting the circuits) but between this and the alternatives, this kicks ass. Honestly, it's like getting Federer to give you tennis tips by videoing yourself at the local club - WTF!
We wait for the Italian Version 😍😍🔝
Excellent video Guinters, you’ll be on a million subscribers by the time this lockdown ends. Where else can you get free track riding advice from a world champ and MotoGP rider. Merci.
Hi Sylvain, absolutely brilliant in every way. Having focused on track riding, have you tried riding on the road with this set up ? Are you likely to try a road set up ? I think it would be an interesting comparison especially for road riders. Stay safe and take care on and off the track. Eddie.
Thank you .. this is great critics “
i can see those new blue and silver Suzuki leather
Thanks for your Videos, great Tips. Any Recommendation on a n easy option for data recording which dosen't break the bank?
fantastic!!! I'm a datalog user too. Is it possible to introduce suspension potentiometer analysis ?? Because there are only race car data analysis book in public.
But there are more different issues need to be considered like swingarm squat ratio.
Really need online training and tech for our public rider.
thanks you Sylvain!!!
Sylvain, tell something about your training rutin and diet, please.
Love your content!!! What are you using to collect data?? Thanks
Great video Silvain, please what is the program in which you are comparing the telemetry and from which device is telemetry taken, thank you.
Very interesting content ! Which data software are you using ?
Gday Sylvain, thanks for this video, extremely interesting. Can i ask what program you ae using? Is it available to thr public? Also, would you be willing to look at footage from Australia ie Eastern Creek or Phillip Island? Cheers mate.
@Sylvain Guintoli What software are you using there to analyse the laps please ?
Zero to hero feature...... I'd like to put myself forward
What software is that Sylvain? Great video!
Great videos Sylvain! Is it still possible to send in videos?
Hello Sylvain, I've seen almost all your videos now and you always advice to downshift immediately as soon as the throttle is rolled off and the brakes are on, to use the advantage of the engine brake. This of course applies to four-stroke bikes. What about two-strokes (e.g. 250 gp bike)? Would you advice to do the same or would you let the revs first drop down a little bit (for sake of not stressing the engine too much and risking a seizure) before downshifting?
Thanks for your advices.
Same for 2 strokes, early downshift is better. Same also for rev’s, just pay attention not too “over” rev’ pass the limiter on the downshifts.
Could you do a video about driving a two-stroke and one about how to correctly take care about the suite and racing equipment? Would be fine to know how pro riders and world champions do it right. Thanks in advance.
Wow! Really Amazing. Thank you! How did you do the analysis? With what software? Is this just the data from the GoPro?
It's the data from GoPro footage (GPS has to be enabled). The software he is using is from RACETECHNOLOGY. Look them up on youtube, they have very informative videos.
RadDanMoto Thank you!
How do you take this telemetry from a bike?
Would you consider analyzing other tracks around the world or just in the UK? I'd be interested :)
Anywhere. All I need is video footage, if it’s filmed with a GoPro with GPS feature I can also see the data which adds to the analysis
@@SylvainGuintoli could you use a rear-facing video or does it have to be front facing??
Mr Green Front is much better. Can’t see much with the rear one.
Is this data coming from action camera GPS only? Or is there some data logging software?
which data program do you use?
which program you are using ?
What app is being used to log this data?
You can't go faster on the track until you putting down consistent lap times.
When spanish versión please?
would you take spanish tracks too?
Yep, I know most of them 👍🏻
“Yep, I know most of them”, outstanding comment.
Sylvain talk’s of Spanish’s tracks like I talk of the co-op shops in my town.
Money couldn’t buy instruction like this for us mere mortals. Power up superstar status
yes but he's riding through the corner in a group of 3 and you were riding out by yourself.
can you give me information from my footage and data on a track you dont familiar with? in israel
Please translate the video in italian!!!
