They do keep the family vibe. I love that they all had they buddy Hallel Slovak in their speeches at the Hall of Fame

I think Anthony, Chad, and Flea need John as much as John needs them. Without each other, they're all talented people, but the four of them together, they create magic. I hear a lot of people basically commend John for the whole Chili Pepper's sound, but it's not just him. It's all of them together. They were meant to create music together.

I can't love John because I don't know him personally, but I can safely say that I love his music and for that I thank him and the rest of the band. For all the happiness that your songs bring me
I personally think if you already listen to most of John’s music, you already know him…he’s the kind of real musician that exposes himself through music.
Look at his reaction; John is not even worried about that stuff. Just pure love for music and nothing else. A lesson on humbleness.

It's pretty surreal.
His turmoil during the early days was mainly due to substance misuse. He looks fresh, sober and clear headed. All the best to him and the peppers.
John is an artist and genius and he deserves all the recognition. He has an excellent flow and feel when playing

As a guitarist John has been one of my biggest influences. Just having him back in the band has reinspired me. Simply can't wait to see them live this summer ❤

@@400_billion_suns This is true. People don't seem to understand how exhausting it is to tour and perform consistently in a band for over 30 years. You HAVE to take breaks occasionally, and there's nothing wrong with that at all!
There is a special chemistry with these 4, no diss on the other guitarists, Dave Navarro's album 'One Hot Minute' was awesome, Frusciante is a bit of a genius with a real unique signature sound.

The maturity process is awesome. Grateful to see the guys looking at each one, hearing what each one has to say, and mainly, maturity to recognize how each one is very important to the band.
Man it feels good to see and hear John. He seems like a different person than what we are used to seeing. Howard asked the perfect questions too. John seems to be on a mission. So excited to see what the RHCP future holds.
So great to see this unit back together. Howard tees the discussion up perfectly.

What always impresses me with John, Anthony, Flea & Chad is their profound respect for each other. I spent 10 years touring with a band and no matter how well you get along, tensions due to the creative process is absolutely unavoidable. So too, I would almost certainly suspect RHCP's would have had their fair share of tensions however, they continue to: show respect and trust towards each other, stay quiet and listen to each other, and personify a great example of successful interpersonal relationships (or we can just call it brotherly love)! Thanks for the inspiration lads!
They've been to hell and back together, lost a whole lot of friends along the way. And thankfully, they've all grown as a person ...

Respect Josh for what he contributed and loved the previous albums. But yes I can't deny that John adds a little something extra, more soulful that only he can add. John is definitely my favourite guitarist
