- Prosecutors on Wednesday released cell phone videos of Parkland gunman Nikolas Cruz planning the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that left 17 people dead.
As disgusting as that video was, it makes the act he was trying to put on when arrested all that more pathetic. When being interviewed he tried to play the insane card and said he heard voices. When the insanity card wasn't working he would then try and play the pity card! This just showed how sick he truly was and is!
Not saying this is right, but maybe if those bullies weren't so insecure about themselves, they wouldn't torment other kids to the brink of them losing their own insanity. Schools in America should show these videos to students to show those bullies there are only 2 outcomes, either bullied person commit suicide or they shoot up the school.

Yes he’s “sick” but more of a cold blooded plotting psychopathic way not mentally ill such as hearing voices and being told by “demons” to do this. This was premeditated, cold, & calculated making 3 separate videos detailing his intentions to kill as many people as he could. Once arrested during the interrogation, he played the “demons told me to do it” card when evidence CLEARLY shows his murderous intentions all for attention and misplaced infamy. I fully believe he thought he would die in a blaze of glory & gunfire and when that didn’t happen, he made up the “demon story”. He was busted not taken out by law enforcement who failed these kids and teachers.
Who wants to run towards the gunfire but that is what they signed up for as LEO’s.
If we have to lock down schools, venues, use armed police at every school, installing bullet proof walls, glass, use impenetrable materials to save lives, then that’s a small price to pay in these school shootings to be able to kiss your child when they come though the door at home after school.
Since the second amendment, which NEVER was put in place with this in mind, that will never change, however, tighter gun laws for assault type rifles bought by ill intent 18 yo’s. This is NOT a hunting rifle. It would obliterate any animal you hunted with it as it does for a human to hunt humans with it!
The relationship between school shootings and guns in the hands of malcontents needs to be #1 priority in America! Whatever it takes to make it impossible to kill children in schools need to be done instead of tying it up in congressional committees with the help of gun lobbyists.
Having a gun for self protection or hunting is your right. Finding out the truth behind why the individual is buying any assault type weapon or even a high caliber hand gun should be standard across the US not different in individual States. In other Countries this would NEVER be even a thought or possibility. Why is it so common anymore here in America???

As long as this is kept stalled in committees, more school shooting will continue to happen. Just the publicity of seeing “this inhumane thing” in a courtroom will spur on some bullied misunderstood kid to do the same. How many kids live worse lives than “it” did and don’t go on to kill as many people as they can and live in a false “infamy”.
You can tell that he is empty and alone with no empathy or feelings other than a psychopath when his own Attorneys sit there and cry!
I pray for all affected and those to be affected in the near future. It’s not enough to sit in our living rooms and say “oh, that’s terrible”!

Instead of being stalled in Congress on gun control legislation or the what, how, when, why this happens, we need solutions now which will never happen. There’s a lot of psychology behind why this happens and figuring out what’s in the mind of mass shooters is beyond anyones comprehension or ability at this point. Anticipating who or what’s going to happen next, or where, no one’s a mind reader. There seems to be no predicable way to determine that.
All I know is this public trial will case some other “nut job” out there waiting to “immortalize” that “thing” on trial right now. It’s just a matter of when while officials just ask why and twiddle their thumbs. Look at all the mass shooting that have happened since that weren’t in schools! Why is this trial taking so long? It’s very clear he’s guilty and he premeditated everything. All this permanent exposure is a torture for the family of the people who were killed.
They have to present the evidence that shows he fits any of the seven aggravating factors that will help the jury decide if he gets the death penalty or not. So tough on the families in attendance.

I was bullied so harshly for 4 years. I would be kicked and punched by groups of students at a time. Spat on. Called ugly. Had my head smashed in to a metal pole repeatedly. Mocked. Would come home with so many bruises. Only to face an abusive home environment with a drug/alcohol addicted parent, domestic violence, family members with anorexia and to be hit there daily, too. Also raped from the age of 14 onwards.
Yet I didn't bully others. I got myself a scholarship into a private school and bettered myself.
If anything, I try to use these experiences to become a more sympathetic person, and to understand/help those undergoing similar tribulations.

@Mike this is something I hear a lot, and it makes me quite mad when people say “I was able to overcome all of my challenges, so you should be able to also!” I understand that people who say this have good intentions, but the reality is that they’re really not being helpful at all. When I’m depressed my parents often tell me that their lives are much more difficult than mine and they’re not depressed, so I have no reason to be depressed. If someone said this thing to you I don’t really think it would help you get out of depression. All it really does is give the impression of “I’m better than you.” And besides, it’s not quite fair to say what you’re saying because there are many different factors that can affect whether or not someone is able to overcome challenges. Different peoples’ minds work differently, and they manage their emotions in different ways. So it isn’t really fair for you to say that other people get bullied but they don’t do shootings, so therefore that means he shouldn’t do shootings just because he was bullied. All that being said, I am not condoning what the shooter did, but I think instead of calling the shooter a disgusting human being, we should instead be focusing on how we can address the root of the problem, which is bullying.

I say this because for myself, yeah I was bullied too. Pushed. Punched. Basketballs thrown in my face. Milk poured down my backpack and onto me.
Live spiders put onto me knowing I have a fear of spiders. It was only my coach that actually sat down and listened to me. After he saw the damage to the locker door after I ripped it off it’s hinges. And in all honesty, There was a part of me that wanted to rip the kids head off, the one who was bullying me.
I just wanted then to get out of there.
Lucky for me, I was ahead academically, and able to graduate early. Leaving behind the dark and cruel world of the school and the students.
You went through a lot, you have my respect on being a person who can walk past through tough times, many wouldn't not endure that amount of pain and most will likely kill themeselves or kill people. You should feel good about being this strong. Keep going, if you went through this, then you can push through many obstacles in life that will be ahead with you. The victims families should be exempt from having their taxes pay for any part of his incarceration, there should be a rule that says any person directly related to a victim of crimes such as these, has a specified amount of money not included in the taxes they pay, that not one cent from that family goes to paying for the accused persons maintenance in prison.

I got bullied at schools that I went to.. you just have to defend yourself and not be a wimp.. they say something then you say something to them don't just walk away like a sissy.. stand up for yourself but still don't take it to that extreme..This also reflects on the kids' parents of these bullies..Get involved in what is going on with your kids. Fear is not an easy emotion to get over. Most bully victims have issues with fear of conflict or other confrontations. This feeling of weakness grows and turns into hatred and the desire to get even. Once you become suicidal with nothing to lose then thats when you can finnally feel that sense of power over the others students lives.

No its not that easy, most mass shooters get forgotten, Bik Cruz shooting went viral thanks to the scale, the inside vids and the kids marching for gun control. Also it may seem easy to become notorious by doing something like this but you gotta understand, most people even if they hate the world are NOT going to just throw their life away like this so no, its actually NOT that easy. Even if you try to become notorious, you still gotta have something more to the story in order to get nationwide notoriety.
