He should’ve dug deeper into that. Shooters don’t care when they’re being called monsters or evil…in fact they like it. Go at his lack of friends, lack of love, the fact he’s a loser and a loner. Go at the fact weakness caused him to mess up, not strength. The fact that they’d all kill him if he didn’t have a weapon. Go at what causes him to commit the crimes in the first place. He wants to feel like the boss, so make him feel like the dork that he is.

Joaquins mom wrote a book called “joaquins first school shooting”, it is a powerful, powerful, book. The parents of joaquins have done a lot of great charity work in honor of their son.

And he said it calmly with a cool tone and showing absolutely no anger or other emotional outburts. This man was the essence of how being calm and collected is so much scarier and imposing than any kind of anger or rage could ever be. His clear enunciation. His calm cadence. And while you could obviously tell it wasn't easy for him and that emotions were strong, the controlled release of pent-up feelings that never escaped his control is exactly why that monster needs to be glad he's got bars to hide behind.

Joaquin must have been an incredible human being. From listening to Victoria, seeing the light and love in his mother and sister’s eyes, and listening to his powerhouse of a father. He lives on through each and every one of them, it’s because of Joaquin, who he was, and his love, that they are who they are today. As Victoria said “Joaquin is love.”

It's cut off from the start of this video, but when Joaquin's father first walked into the room, most of the other parents lit up like a Christmas tree. As though his presence alone made them feel stronger and more secure. From what Joaquin's girlfriend said about him, he was like his father in that way. The positive effect he had on other people.

I see a lot of my dad in this man, in his demeanor, his choice of words and expression of emotion. Said a lot of things my dad would say in his shoes. I pray for my familys well being, cant imagine what it would do to him if anyone in my family got badly hurt or killed.

Actually seeing the parents smile was something I thought I wouldn’t see these parents became friends from tragedy and loss at least they have each other to hold together
