This video was one of this channels early vids as such there are issues I would like to have revisited namely lack of ability to record app screen available to me at that time, setup could have been better and video was originally for a different purpose BUT otherwise proud of it.

Great tutorial. Just downloaded it tried it for the 1st time. Awesome tool! For some reason my Theta V app does not allow me to adjust the EV level & etc. Did I miss something?

We typically use light stands for the Thetas and One X's when used indoors as light weight and have no protruding parts making masking easier brands like Newwer or Phot-R for light stands or the ManFrotto 190X range I believe minus and levers e.t.c

Hi. What camera are you using to film this? i.e. is it a gimbal head cam or spyglasses or...? can we see a picture of you wearing it?
Asking because it appears very steady, is well filtered and seems perfect for instructional vids as this.

It was filmed using a GoPro hero 7 Black and a chest mount.

You can push updates via the app deoending on connection stability
Hi, after connection with my phone I started recording the screen go black when recording ?
I will investigate as not used the Theta V in almost 2 years so not sure if anything changed / why this may be happening.

I believe its a Manfrotto monopod or look for light tripods ;)

This was filmed several years ago and had to use either Wifi or 4G connections for wireless monitoring and streaming as 5G functionality was not a thing at that time
Once I'm at the step where the blue light is flashing.. (1) the blue camera and wifi lamps never turn on, (2) the power lamp never stops flashing to turn solid blue, (3) at some point the blue power lamp will stop flashing and turn to a red flashing and then beeps 3 times. Any suggestions on how to complete my setup?
Sounds to me like it may need a reset / factory reset. Sadly dont have access to Theta camera atm as moved away from them a while ago as needed expandable memory.
Hi, can you please help me? My power button light is showing Green instead of Blue. Any ideas?
This normally means the camera is in timer mode or has finished charging
Which monopod you are using in this video?
I believe it was a basic Light stand tripod by Neweer, we find these work best due to low profile for legs.
@@CatalystChannel great video man. Wanted to say that it is not a lightstand it is a monopod what you are using. Can you share the brand of the monopod?
@@manduja75 this monopod broke not long after this was filmed and it was filmed along time ago (older than upload date) I believe it was a manfrotto as they are the most common brand where I work have but can say its model as it was given to me to use out of blue.
I usually use lightstands nowadays as every monopod I have used since has been a bit naff or unstable especially outdoors

It can using the phones 4G but is fiddly to get working tbh

The app name is now Ricoh (on android play store at least) it was called Ricoh S at one stage

Are these photos taken on the Theta? Are they equirectangular and to dimensions: 5376×2688 (Still), 4K 3840×1920px (Video)

Would be helpful if you had shown how to connect to WiFi on mobile phone.
Unfortunately back when this was recorded the ability to record phone screen on my device was not working
Please stop touching the lenses.
Gave them a good old wipe afterwards, honestly that camera went through worse at a colleagues hands, died a death dropped in a river.
noone sees what you do with the app.

Batteries life so rubbish
Indeed also fact cant extend memory storage, Insta360 One X / One R is better. Any 360 camera tbh though benefits from an external power source, twice the sensors twice the drain.
Don’t keep it in standby mode. Power it off.
