This was the time when even Lagaan and Dil Chahta was not released. What a turnaround for him after that.
He got professionalism into Bollywood, everyone followed his style of working which at the time was a taboo.. great!

Love this movie. It is dissapointing that this director never did similar movies after Sarfarosh.
Just saw sarfarosh umpteenth time....and it's a classic....Aamir Khan take a bow.
Was 6 or 7 years old when I went to watch to this movie with my mom and dad.
Dad was posted in Jaisalmer with BSF and mom was pregnant with my lil sister.
Obviously can't remember the movie but I faint recollection of the moment.
Best part was that we we're in Jaisalmer , the place where this movie was partly shot.

First film I watched back to back in theater. And I still watch it on TV.
As Sarfarosh was released in 1999, which saw number of other Aamir Khan's movies like 'Mann' also released, this interview seems to have been aired in 1999 rather than 2000 (as mentioned in the video title).
Mann Mela both released and it was the time when he changed his strategy these were the 2 last masala films
