I was on Seabee Team 0507 Central Highlands of Vietnam....I'd go back with those men tomorrow morning. Best men I've known in my life. Total trust of one another.
All I ever wanted to be was a Seabee. I washed out in basic with ulcers. I was a stupid, sick kid and didn't know my options. Forty three years and not a day goes by I don't think about it.
wow these guys seem bad ass this probably the best skill one can take after the military and actually score a decent paying pretty quick, I wonder do these guys get promotion often?
Just wondering the guy talking was a CE 2 I was also a CE 2 the last 27 (( 27 )) I toke the test for CE 1 I passed and never got it is it still that bad for it .I almost went to the army and they where going to make me a staff sgt right off the bat but I just could not do that .
Construction battalions for the military... we do everything construction companies do in the civilian world. Combat trained for warfare as well. It REALLY isn't that complicated. 🌊🐝
We work closely with the marine corps, and are tasked with building a multitude of infrastructure for other services. We build, we fight..is the seabees mantra, can do. This means that you're likely to be working with the other rates and oftentimes to do ,and chip in, becoming knowledgeable about all aspects of construction, and weaponry. Seabees protect what they construct and support the marines in security situations.

Hello from a BU
I was EC2 too...
Seabees and marine engineers are good. But honestly seabees are trained better. Navy invest more money into their training
What ever happened to M C B one I was with them in Vietnam in 1968 t o 1969
Once I heard M-16 I had to look at what year this came out lol

@@seabeechief99 yup 👍
EO-3 you think it was hard making rank in the 2000. Try in the late 70-90 there were not many open slots for advanced meant.
EO3 78 to 83 ,74 does more
EO also. Higher tenure was in effect in 00 01 right before 9/11. A few 2nd classes got pushed out of 7 while I was there.
BU3 Domingo special training in Gulfport MS.
So are these guys similar to royal engineers?
ercaif Leeracm Yes
No just better. Please read about the Seabees in WW II. That was just the start of our history, and we are still writing history to this day. Can Do.
