Huge respect for the SeeBees. They are construction workers when not in a fight, but when they have to fight, boy they really do put up a fight. They were in Fallujah too fighting alongside the Marines and Army.
Career prospects are good when one leaves the service. Can put the construction and engineering skills to good use.

    To any aspiring seabee:
-Be prepared to inventory the same tricons on a weekly basis.
-Skate off and be utterly useless in your barracks room when you aren't inventorying or have class or watch.
-Have your incompetent chain of command fail to properly disseminate inportant information to your sqd/plt.
-Work with a bunch of motard boots who think they're slightly scaled down 0311s because they manage to achieve sharpshooter in CAT II and CAT III once every 12 months.
-Work with people who are lazier than fuck and take no pride in their work (E-4 and below).
-Get sent to okinawa or rota every year to fuck off and drunkenly rot in camp maintenance or alfa yard.
-Develop chronic knew and back pain for no apparent reason.

No way in hell EAs do their job. Seabees are the shit. The EAs sent me, a Builder to check out a road, I was former union and knew how to survey. But it wasn’t my job , when I told the actual EA, to walk a mile out with me in Iraq, he wouldn’t. Fat boy, getting the BU’s to do their job. I’m a project manager now, but the Carpenters steelworkers did 80 percent of the work. The other rates supported the builders, while the builders were out the wire.
